I came back bringing more friends and to try out different items. Anvi really did it again, never disappointed. Great service as always. Everything came out fast and hot. Got myself vermicelli wtih grilled pork, hojicha coconut water, and maple hojicha. Tender and flavorful meat, could be given it a little charred for smokier and bolder flavor. Hojicha here was very good and nutty as well, not too bitter aftertaste. Overall, I like most of the food and drink items I've had, but nothing beats the house fried rice along with blue thai tea. Come thru and support!!

Came here for early dinner before a show at Segerstrom. We were initially confused because the signage outside still said Happy Pho. The staff said they were in the process of rebranding. The place was not busy at 5 pm on a Sunday. The staff were friendly and helpful. The food was decent. The menu was not very large though, by Vietnamese restaurant standards. I would say it's a bit fusion here. The place was bright and clean. The photo booth was a nice touch for the kids.

On Harbor, between Baker and Nutmeg, next to the Harbor Freight lot. Anvi's Cafe took over the Happy Pho location. Ample parking, nice and clean inside. Service was great, servers and owners are nice and accommodating. As of June 2026, they are still in the soft opening phase. The fried rice is really good and you have a choice of adding 2 proteins. The combo rice plate's beef was very tasty and nicely seasoned. I enjoyed the blue Thai tea a great deal as it is very creamy and delicious.

Great food and service! I came here recently with my boyfriend, and I enjoyed my experience there. The seating area was relatively clean and modern-looking. They have a photo booth inside too as well as some merch near the entrance. I was somewhat nervous about the Thai tea since I had never had it blue, but it tasted good. It has the familiar taste of Thai tea, and the vanilla cream added to the creaminess and sweetness. The shaken beef with noodles was $20, but I think I got generous portions for the price. The beef was well seasoned, and the noodles weren't too oily.

my boyfriend and I went to Anvi's cafe since we're big foodies and love trying new spots. We had the pho (brisket & steak) and the portions are really big and it was delicious! (10/10), we also tried the spring rolls (11/10) and you can definitely tell the food is fresh. We're definitely gonna come back to Anvi's cafe!! The blue Thai tea was soo yummy as well. The ambience was great I loved their decor, they even have a photo booth in the corner!

I was excited to go in and try the Blue Thai Tea at Anvi's. It was something I never heard of before, it tastes as good as it looks: perfectly sweet and creamy. Vivian and Tom were super nice and created a welcoming space with cute merch too! They also have food which is something I look forward to coming back. 10!10!

The service was amazing. It was super cute that the chefs bring out the food. Staff was so friendly. I went the shrimp and tofu pho, it was so flavorful and packed with so many veggies. I forgot to take a picture but there were plenty of extras on the side:) including- bean sprouts, basil, jalapeño. I also tried their garlic butter noodles with shrimp and it was perfect - it had just the right amount of garlic and butter. To top it off, for what you're getting, the price was so worth it.

Amazing food and drinks! The service was excellent and our orders came out fast. I got the pho and a Vietnamese coffee and they were both delicious. The pho broth was rich and hearty and they were generous with the serving size so I was satisfied off the one meal. The coffee was just right, mildly bitter but not overly. Definitely strong so it's an excellent pick me up. They're still working on transforming the store but from what I saw with the work in progress, I think the vibes will be great. There's a Photo Booth being set up and plenty of tables and seating for those looking to study or relax as a third space. Definitely recommend checking it out!

This is my second time checking out the cafe ever since the new owners took it over and I'm happy to see its progress! They've done a great job with their new menu and updating the interior. The first time around, I tried their pho and with the portion they give you, I'd usually end up in a food coma at other places but this was a delicious balance that left me feeling happily full. This time, i tried their Blue Elephant and popcorn fried chicken since I heard there were new additions to the space. They now have a nice resting area towards the back and a photobooth. Such a fun idea! We took a few photos while waiting for our order. The Blue Elephant had a great thai tea taste without tasting too sweet and the popcorn chicken was fried to perfection. Will be coming back to try more items on their menu

Double Matcha Latte and Vinahouse Coffee

Matcha is amazing with the matcha cream top! Strong matcha flavor without it being overly bitter. The star of the show was the option for SUGAR FREE SYRUP. They don't charge extra for the sugar free syrup as well as the substitution for milk with oat milk.

    peach oolong and french fries
    Sarah N.

stopped by again since i saw the owners comment about adding a drinks menu! the owner was so sweet and recommended me something that is currently not on the menu but will be adding soon, which is the peach oolong. she mentioned that typically their regular sweet is usually like a 70% sweet at a normal boba shop but since I was in a mood for something sweet and fruity, i opted in for the extra sweet which was perfect for me! def will be my go to also got the french fries as a snack and i was surprised to see the portion tbh...loved the fries tho! cant go wrong with some cajun skinny french fries (which are my go to style!) ps: they have a photobooth in the back!! thought that was a fun idea for a cafe plus it was only $5 for two strips (honestly cant beat that price nowadays!)

Pho Dac Biet w Banana Lotus Monkey
    Patrick H.

Tried Anvi's Cafe for the first time and I have to say it was a great experience! The food was great, I had the Pho Dac Biet. The broth was full of authentic flavor and the bowl had plenty of meat! Service was nice! Server was polite and they helped me quickly at the front. The feel of the restaurant is nice, not too noisy but still active.

    Combination Plate with Thit Nuong
    Jack T.

Tried the rice combination with thit nuong at Anvi's Cafe and it was really good! The plate had a flavorful airoma and the meat was tender. Portions were solid and the food came out fresh and hot. Service was smooth and excellent! Definitely a spot I'd come back to when craving Vietnamese food. (They also got merch coming soon!)

At the Costa Mesa location, parking was a little tricky at first, but after circling we got lucky with a corner spot. The location itself is SO cute! It's right next to colorful barrel fountains, and on a sunny day it honestly felt like the perfect coffee outing. The line was pretty long and you are standing in direct sun, so just keep that in mind, but the service was quick and efficient once you order. Inside, it's small but really charming, with Sunny Angels hidden around and a very open, friendly vibe. My sister (who is basically a professional coffee drinker at this point ) got the matcha and said it was her favorite, which says a lot. I got the iced Spanish latte with oat milk, and it was SO good. Spanish lattes are my go-to, and this one had the perfect hint of cinnamon without being overly sweet. Even as the ice melted, it still tasted great, which is rare. The Torrance location was just as good! Parking was easier, the space is bigger, and the service was still super friendly and fast. My husband got the cold brew "Nook way" and finished it in like 10 minutes. He said it tasted like Golden Grahams cereal. Highly recommend both locations and especially the Spanish latte. Definitely worth the visit!

The parking however, was VERY filled during this time. The line was huge for a 11:00am on a Friday morning. We were bummed that the QR code was not working on the very cute wooden signage outside the coffee shop while we were in line, which was a bummer. The Honey Oat Latte with oat milk was delicious. I am notorious for chugging my iced coffee but this was absolutely delicious. A sweet, subtle honey sweetness taste and the creamy oat milk was divine. My manager's Spanish Latte was so much better & I will be getting that next time! We bought our other coworker the Strawberry Matcha, which we did not try & we were worried after the fact because it did not look like it had strawberries in it, but she confirmed it was very tasty and tasted the strawberry! The outside seating areas in this outdoor area was very cute. Lots of fun art, the directory was creative, the CD tunnel was the coolest part! We also walked over to the breakfast burrito place as well. This seems like a nice area to come and relax and just people watch and enjoy a delicious iced latte from Nook.

Despite being relatively close to two major colleges - OCC and UCI - this place wasn't as crowded as you'd imagine it would be. They serve coffee, matcha, breakfast foods like breakfast burritos, protein bowls, avocado toasts - but I didn't pick anything to eat since I already had lunch. I shared with the barista that it was my first time here, and he asked what type of drink I was looking for. I told him something iced and caffeinated - and he mentioned his favorite was the Honey Cinnamon Latte - which I opted for - iced, with oat milk. Total was $8.50 including tip. My iced Honey Cinnamon Latte was yummy, creamy, and fantastic! With the oat milk substitute, it sorta tasted like Cinnamon Toast Crunch in liquid coffee form. It wasn't overly sweet, definitely had a nice kick to it - love this recommendation by the barista! I checked out the rest of the space and used their restroom to wash my hands - it's really a neat space here. Lots of seating. Lots of space. Some of the other reviews mentioned no a/c - which had me worried considering we were having a bit of a heatwave lately - but to my pleasant surprise, A/C was on and cold! It was a great escape from the heat. Free wifi - fast enough for a zoom call if you need to hop into one - my speedtest reported download speeds of 17.5MB/s Restroom is clean and well maintained. Plenty of parking - of course, I stopped by a little after 2pm, so already avoiding the tail end of the lunch rush. Only downside is they close kinda early - 4pm - but open up at 7am. Great spot! I'm curious to try their matcha the next time I'm here, as well as possibly their breakfast burritos, since photos for that looks delicious.
