Very cute interior for studying or a girls day! Free wifi and good photo opportunities, including a photobooth. We went during their soft opening, and the staff was incredibly kind. They gave us a voucher for the photobooth! (minimum $20 purchase, party of 4) Loved the beef and bell peppers on the shaken beef plate. The garlic noodles are alright. The blue thai tea definitely tastes different from standard thai tea, so it's worth a try. But, there's no dairy-free option

A cafe that serves classic Vietnamese entrees, boba shop snacks like popcorn chicken, and a variety of teas. Everything is customizable and both the pho bowls and drinks have create your own options, and even the set drinks have adjustable sweetness and milks. The service is super nice and patient. They were able to answer all my questions about my drinks which I always appreciate because I'm picky about matcha! Their matcha is solid in quality, and doesn't taste like a mix. For everything I tried, there's been no "artificial" taste in their drinks! The interior is also super cute. The lighting is inviting, the tables are clean, and the seating is very comfortable. I could see myself studying here because there's tables and booths depending on what I need, and the seating is comfortable enough to hang out for a few hours while I work, easily! All the artwork here was made by the owner and really ties together the cute and cozy aesthetics. There's even a photo booth!

finally got to check out Anvi's Cafe for their soft opening weekend! the inside has such a cute cozy vibe that's awesome for studying or just simply dining. the food and drinks came out fast and the servers were really attentive and sweet. i got the shaken beef with garlic noodles and the portion size is a good deal for only $20! also my bf and i tried their handcrafted drinks. he got the ca phe sua da (vietnamese coffee) for $5 and he really liked it! and i got the peach oolong less sweet for $4 and honestly its my go to here its soooooo good!! since we were the first 50 of the day we also got free tote bags and theyre so cute!!! will definitely be coming back to eat and drink

I came to Anvi's during the weekend at around noon. It wasn't particularly packed in there, about 4 groups of people inside that were eating pho. I hate to be the person to knock the rating on their reviews, but I had waited in line for 15 minutes and then I waited for 30 minutes after ordering for one singular latte. No it wasn't sitting in the back or on the shelf and it wasn't due to myself not asking for it. It genuinely wasn't ready. One latte. I get it, they had numerous signs up saying they were understaffed, and that they are in the process of transitioning, but at some point we all get past our waiting point. You could tell that everyone inside had been waiting forever and was getting angsty. I too can understand a 20 minute wait for one latte. But 45 minutes total that I waited at this place to make one latte is unacceptable. I went to this place over my usual spot and I knew i regretted it immediately as soon as i was waiting in line. In my experience at pho restaurants in orange county, they move extremely fast because it is broth and noodles they combine. And I can't think of any justification on why one latte or pho would be a 45 minute wait. I will never be back here. At least the coffee was good but it pretty damn well should be for 45 minutes

This place is so freaking cute! Their drinks are so good. I got a mango lemonade and used my $5 birthday reward, and the gal working (I think her name was Evelyn) wrote the cutest little happy birthday with their doggo mascot on my cup. Super cute and made my day! Definitely recommend checking this place out!

I came back bringing more friends and to try out different items. Anvi really did it again, never disappointed. Great service as always. Everything came out fast and hot. Got myself vermicelli wtih grilled pork, hojicha coconut water, and maple hojicha. Tender and flavorful meat, could be given it a little charred for smokier and bolder flavor. Hojicha here was very good and nutty as well, not too bitter aftertaste. Overall, I like most of the food and drink items I've had, but nothing beats the house fried rice along with blue thai tea. Come thru and support!!

A new spot in Costa Mesa, a true hole in the wall kind of place but the drinks are pretty good! Emily made our drinks and was very friendly and knowledgeable about the menu. She recommended us the maple Hojicha and jasmines dream. It was perfectly made and super delicious. Price is decent for the amount of you get. Theres a lot of seating inside and they serve snacks and food as well. Ps. The mascot is really cute

Tried out this new cafe in Costa Mesa and I'm so glad we did! They seated us so quickly and let us bring out dog in as well. The staff was really friendly and gave our dog some water and a cute pup cup that they drew Biscuit on! They also gave us a complementary tote bag since they opened recently! We ordered the Vietnamese coffee and the blue elephant which were SOOOO delicious! I will definitely be back here. They also have a photobooth in the back and tons of seating as well as a couch with stuffies.

I recently saw this spot highlighted by a Costa Mesa real estate agent and I had to give it a try. It's located where a Pho restaurant used to be, so their signage is still up and still to be updated. Inside, you order at the counter, and they have a variety of drinks and Vietnamese food. I ordered a maple hojicha, and the staff was super friendly! They asked if I wanted any milk substitutions, to which they have oat, almond, and whole milk. The hojicha had a great nutty flavor, and the drink overall had great flavor. I'll definitely return and try some food

I tried the blue thai tea here and I would happily get it many more times!! The drink was refreshing and not too sweet. There were lots of seats and the decor was super cute! The staff was very friendly as well and answered any questions I had about the drinks.

Came here for early dinner before a show at Segerstrom. We were initially confused because the signage outside still said Happy Pho. The staff said they were in the process of rebranding. The place was not busy at 5 pm on a Sunday. The staff were friendly and helpful. The food was decent. The menu was not very large though, by Vietnamese restaurant standards. I would say it's a bit fusion here. The place was bright and clean. The photo booth was a nice touch for the kids.

On Harbor, between Baker and Nutmeg, next to the Harbor Freight lot. Anvi's Cafe took over the Happy Pho location. Ample parking, nice and clean inside. Service was great, servers and owners are nice and accommodating. As of June 2026, they are still in the soft opening phase. The fried rice is really good and you have a choice of adding 2 proteins. The combo rice plate's beef was very tasty and nicely seasoned. I enjoyed the blue Thai tea a great deal as it is very creamy and delicious.

When your favorite food and drink are all in one spot... A dream come true. This was my first time trying this place, and I'm so glad I did. They initially caught my attention on Yelp. I was planning to work from a nearby café but ended up rerouting here instead. I was a little skeptical at first because it's not every day you see Vietnamese restaurant and cafe drinks under the same roof. The coconut matcha was delicious!! You could actually taste the matcha through the creamy foam on top. I also want to highlight the pho because it is THAT good. The broth was rich and flavorful, and the cuts of meat tasted fresh and high quality! After trying their pho and coconut matcha, I was genuinely impressed. I would absolutely come back. The only thing I wasn't sure about was whether they're aiming to be more of a café or a restaurant. The space felt more like a sit-down dining spot, so I ended up not staying to work.

I ordered the steak and eggs, berries and cream Matcha, and the cookie dough banana bread. My total was about $45. Steak & eggs: 8/10; these portions were big and perfect. The steak had flavor. Tater tots were crispy. Sourdough bread was soft but crunchy on the outside. Eggs were over easy. Berries & cream matcha: 8.5/10; I actually really enjoyed this Matcha. Not sure why it came in a smaller cup than what my cousin ordered, but maybe because I said light ice? I think that is something that should have been mentioned to me that I would get a smaller cup. Otherwise, I liked this matcha a lot. Cookie dough Banana bread: 9/10; this was so good, so soft, so fresh. The only thing I wish is that I would be able to taste more of the cookie dough. I was a bit confused where the cookie dough was at in this banana bread. There were times where I did taste it, but I wasn't too sure. However, it did have lots of flavor and I would probably get the banana bread alone. Overall, I would return. There was a line formed outside around 10:30 AM, so I definitely recommend getting there early. This was even on a Tuesday morning. So it seems like the line forms no matter the day.

At the Costa Mesa location, parking was a little tricky at first, but after circling we got lucky with a corner spot. The location itself is SO cute! The line was pretty long and you are standing in direct sun, so just keep that in mind, but the service was quick and efficient once you order. Inside, it's small but really charming, with Sunny Angels hidden around and a very open, friendly vibe. My sister (who is basically a professional coffee drinker at this point ) got the matcha and said it was her favorite, which says a lot. I got the iced Spanish latte with oat milk, and it was SO good. Spanish lattes are my go-to, and this one had the perfect hint of cinnamon without being overly sweet. Even as the ice melted, it still tasted great, which is rare. The Torrance location was just as good! Parking was easier, the space is bigger, and the service was still super friendly and fast. My husband got the cold brew "Nook way" and finished it in like 10 minutes. He said it tasted like Golden Grahams cereal. Highly recommend both locations and especially the Spanish latte. I ordered a churro latte half sweet and a deluxe avocado toast. The latte was delicious. Sweetness level was just right for me. I don't like super sweet drinks. The avocado toast was also great. Inside is a café inspired by natural accents with an industrial flair giving a rustic character with modern style. The vibe inside is chill with plenty of seating for groups or singles. They also have an outdoor area with covered seating surrounded by plants. The menu delivers just as much appeal as the setting. They have an expansive list of coffee, tea, and lattes with several modifiers to choose from. To accompany your drink the menu provides options of sandwiches, bagels, and a variety of pastries. I had the smoked salmon bagel, featuring delicate slices of salmon layered over cream cheese spread, topped with capers and fresh chives. This is my go to for coffee houses that offer it. The bagel exceeded my expectations and I believe the chive's subtle flavor complemented the smoked salmon really well. For drinks we tried the chai and hot chocolate. The iced chai latte was smooth and not too sweet with a dusting of cinnamon on top, but I would rate it average in taste. The hot chocolate was deliciously velvety and detailed beautifully. I would rate it a five out of five! The difference at this coffee shop is that you can choose from a range of seating arrangements and have an opportunity to support the business by picking up clothing, a bag of coffee or other merchandise. The con for this coffee shop is that the beverages are somewhat undersized relative to the price point. In addition, the customer service experience fell short. We were greeted upon entering, but it was unclear where customers should retrieve their order or whether orders numbers were called out. With that said, those looking for a quiet morning coffee or a cozy place to catch up with friends, this spot can accommodate.
