My usual order is the blended iced vanilla coffee, along with either the ham & cheese croissant or the spicy chili jam sausage croissant. The blended vanilla coffee is smooth, creamy, and enough sweetness without being too heavy. The ham & cheese croissant is warm, buttery, and savory, while the spicy chili jam sausage croissant has a little more kick with the sweet and spicy chili jam paired with the sausage. Both are yummy! Today, Theresa recommended the Pumpkin Spice Latte, so I decided to try something different from my usual. I really enjoyed it! The pumpkin spice flavor was cozy and seasonal without being overwhelming. Definitely a perfect drink for this time of year! Theresa and her team are always quick and efficient, which is especially nice when I'm stopping by in the morning. We like to try new coffee places as a fun thing to do on weekends. A coworker of mine told me about Better Buzz when she would visit her friend in San Diego. She loved it to the point that she brought all the stuff to work to make her own drinks like she could buy there - and now that Better Buzz offers kits, she brings those. My other half has increasingly been experiencing stomach issues no matter what she drinks from the major purveyor of flavored coffee drinks we all grew to love over the years. We have determined it's due to the flavored syrups. So, finding another coffee place where we can get delicious, non-stomach upsetting drinks in a variety of flavors, at multiple locations wins all our stars. Plus, the staff is always, always friendly and helpful which is much appreciated! The best drink ever of any flavor is always a good choice. As vegetarians, we like the chili crunch breakfast wrap it have the meat removed. And the new veggie egg bites were a revelation with bomb sauce! Thank you for another great breakfast option!!! The only downside is they don't have one in our town, Irvine. We have emailed multiple times about a couple of currently empty drive-thru locations available that we would definitely frequent more often, but no good news has been shared as of this writing! read more

You can get their Best Drink Ever for under $6, which is a steal in this economy. The Best Drink Ever I ordered was quite sweet, so if you prefer less sugar I would suggest adjusting the sweetness levels. The interior is clean and there's ample seating. Once I learned there was a Costa Mesa one nearby, I was so excited. However, this location several times that I have gone, the bakery remains delicious. Although the way they make their matcha with Orange is watered down; barely tasting the orange flavor. My daughter, she makes Matcha with the wisk and Ceremonial brand; she has tried to give this location a chance as well to no avail. Her comment was also, "it is a watered milk with ice and not enough matcha". Unfortunately, for us this was our last chance at trying this location. Additionally, they put 65% ice, so you may want to say how much ice you prefer, like 6-8 pieces seems enough to still enjoy the drink. Nothing special about the coffee; nothing special about the pastries; It's just another coffee place that resembles every other trendy coffee spot. 2 cups of coffee, two pastries and $26 later.. The first time I went in it was okay. I got my coffee ordered just how I expected and left. I went back two days later and ordered the same thing. Only this time they just couldn't figure out my order. I wanted a half caff coffee with a tiny bit of cream. Because I ordered it a couple of days earlier and it was exactly what I wanted, I was absolutely certain it would be a quick order......in and out. To my bewilderment, the order taker could not understand the order. I had to repeat myself at least two times and then I had to describe what a half caff was, and then she had to reach out to a manager to understand what I wanted. The manager came over and they both discussed it and he told her what to do. Great! It took about two minutes before they could figure out my order and what I was looking for. Then when I got over to pick up my coffee on the other side, it was a served in a little teeny tiny cup and I have no idea what was in it. I told the barista that what I wanted was a 16 ounce cup of coffee with a little bit of cream half decaffeinated and half caffeinated exactly what I told the order taker 10 minutes earlier. After she discussed it with her coworker, they figured it out, but I was baffled by their lack of understanding. I even told them that I walked in a couple a days prior and ordered up ordea half caff with a tiny bit of cream, and the order taker had no problem understanding what that was and my order was made exactly how I wanted it. This type of knowledge is unacceptable.. They need to understand coffee lingo if they are dealing with people who want coffee.. I'm giving it a three overall because it wasn't a better buzz, there was nothing special about the coffee or the pastries and it was clearly overpriced, but I guess the buzz creates a buzz and everyone thinks it's cool to go. It could be a nice place. It's got a nice name and a gimmick concept, but they need to focus on service and knowledge. read more

I've only had one drink here however if a place is going to claim an item as the best drink ever it should hold up to its description. The coffee I ordered was the "banana pudding best drink ever". Which is basically an americano with a touch of milk and vanilla for sweetness and a banana pudding cold foam. The coffee was strong so it hits the buzz part and the two Nilla wafers were good. The cold foam... I tasted zero banana, zilch, nada banana flavor at all. The inside is set up okay and it's cold in there so be prepared. They have a fair amount of offerings and some cool looking merch so I'd say they focus more on the aesthetics and branding than making good coffee. They do have good pastries though which is what kept them at a two star and not a one star. The person taking orders was rather rude and not very personable. She didn't seem to care to really be helpful in explaining some of the drink items. I'd say it's a place that tries to just play on hype and not substance. read more

I've been here a few times, but unfortunately this last visit really changed my opinion. The wait just to order was incredibly long, and the staff didn't feel very friendly or welcoming. I also mentioned that something seemed wrong with my drink, and instead of trying to help fix it, I got some pushback and was told that I had ordered it that way at the register. The whole experience just feels very rushed and high-paced, which is surprising considering how many staff members are working. The coffee itself is good, but I'd honestly rather support a smaller, cozy local coffee shop where the overall customer experience feels more valued instead of feeling like the main focus is just pushing drinks out as quickly as possible. Upon entering I was greeted by staff and asked what I would like to order. After reviewing the menu, I decided the horchata latte would be worth the try. My coffee was surprisingly done very quickly. Which to me stands out as the service is quick. Upon tasting the coffee, I was even more pleasantly surprised. The coffee was perfect, you can tell the beans are not over roasted creating a nice smooth coffee flavor. The latte itself was not overly sweet, which is a bonus. There is plenty of indoor and outdoor seating offering a variety of options. In addition, the parking lot has plenty of parking, but can get crowded with other establishments.
