    Green Thai Tea Iced
    Diana F.

Staff is great and space looks clean. Drinks are good. Some are better than others. The coffee tastes a bit burnt to me now so I stay away from those. Some of the other drinks may be sweet so I get an extra cup of ice to dilute it. Restroom has a super long code. Very few seats so good luck getting one. Rewards program gives you leaves for free drinks.

I had a hankering for a sweet drink after dinner and found this place. I got there at a time where it wasn't too busy so they got my order in right away and prepared it quickly. There were plenty of tables and they were clean. I ordered a taro milk tea and salted caramel macaron. Taro Milk Tea- Light and creamy with a good taro flavor and just the right amount of sweetness. Salted Caramel Macaron- Pastry part was perfect and the filling was rich and bursting with caramel flavor and a sea salt finish. Great experience overall!

20% half gallons in store until 11/24

I stopped in because I was craving my normal green Thai tea. I ended up walking out with 2 half gallons of tea, lol. They were doing a 20% off on half gallons and I love their green Thai tea so much that I got the half gallons for myself. They gave me like 10 cups, lids, and straws like it's for a party hahaha! One important note is that you can do oat substitute if you're lactose intolerant like me. On some drinks you can't really adjust the sweetness, they can only add more milk to make it less sweet.

Bottom Line Up Front: 7 Leaves Cafe is my go-to boba shop chain, but this particular review will be for the Costa Mesa location. Drinks: Almost all the boba drinks range from good up to awesome. This visit, we got a Vietnamese iced coffee and the seasonal Brazilian lemonade. The former was delicious; it has a slightly different flavor than traditional Vietnamese iced coffee, but it's still my go-to drink from 7 Leaves. We also got the Brazilian lemonade, which was tart but simultaneously sweet. A refreshing drink if you want a different style lemonade. Unfortunately, the prices continue to climb and that means I buy fewer and fewer drinks ... and they get a half star deducted from their overall rating. Service: The employees here were pleasant, competent, and friendly. Our cashier was happy to give us samples of the seasonal drinks and provided us background info. The Setting: Located in a strip mall not far from South Coast Plaza, this location is smaller than some other 7 Leaves. There are only 3 long tables, two of which have tall stools and one with traditional chairs. If it's super busy or you have a large party, it might be difficult to find enough open spaces. There is no outdoor seating. It's best for to-go orders, which is not good if you're looking for a cafe to chill at. Because of this, they get another half star deduction for their overall rating. Conclusion: 7 Leaves is a higher-quality boba shop that emphasizes quality teas and drinks over novelty flavors and sugary concoctions. All employees have always been polite and helpful. The same holds true at this location. Unfortunately it's on the smaller side, so it can't be a convenient hangout spot. Plus, the prices (following industry trends) are higher than should be. But overall, I enjoyed this cafe and would return when in the area.

OVERALL : 7 Leaves is a veteran in the OC boba/coffee scene, and they have a smaller, focused menu with milk tea, fruit tea, and coffee that they do very well. Once in a while they come out with a seasonal drink, so I knew I had to try it! Ordering is super simple at the counter (remember to pull up your app for reward points) or via the app! Workers are friendly and quick with making drinks. There is some seating if you'd like to hang out with friends or get some work done, but most people seem to get their drinks togo here. This review is solely for their new Rio Rosa drink! PARKING : There are a lot of good foods in this plaza and ample parking space in the parking lot right out front :) Pretty spacious but it can get crowded during peak hours. FOOD/DRINKS : Rio Rosa - strawberry, condensed milk, lime -- reminded me of their Brazilian lemonade but with a touch of strawberry flavor! Refreshing and tart, definitely a summer drink. At the end of the day, I still like their milk teas, coffee, and fruit teas more, but this was fun to try!

7 Leaves Cafe is a popular chain, especially for the "Mung Bean" tea and coffee drinks. The Bristol location is perfect for my afternoon tea run to break up the work week. The 7 Leaves atmosphere is relaxed, with clean and modern décor, and staff are nice. I very rarely stay but opt for the "fly in and out" picking up my order. We like to order via the app so it's fast and convenient. Will be returning again next week.

Boba- 5/10 good thing I only asked for a sample of boba bc the bobas were hella dense and hard in the middle. ALWAYS ASKS FOR SAMPLES BEFORE COMMITTING! Drink- 8.9/10 Assam milk tea - I requested less sweet and thank god I did. This drink was already sweet asf even after requesting less sweet. It has a strong flavor of tea to the drink. Service- 9/10 good. They let me try a sample of boba.

I love the boba here it is always fresh and soft. They also have a great variety of other add ins and the employees are very kind and helpful. Another favorite thing is that they sell macarons in a variety of flavors which are a delicious treat! They open super early at like 6:30am or 7:30am depending on the day which is amazing because most boba places don't open until closer to noon! There's plenty of free parking unless you come during peak dinner time and then they have valet because there's a few busy restaurants in the center.

Ryan and Brendon were so welcoming when I came in! They were patient when we were ordering & also offered samples so we could decide! I got the Brazilian lemonade which is a limited time offer , but it is perfectly sweet & sour! Thanks Ryan and Brendon for great service!

Average service & everything. Could have more energy to care. Less ice in my ice coffee.

11/2024 Their Macaron filling is my favorite! Light, creamy, perfect macaron pastry texture: subtle crispness, soft and moist chewy center
    Jen S.

Only reviewing their macarons! Chose their strawberry, green tea, and pistachio macarons. Even at 7PM, their macarons were perfectly crispy, yet moist and chewy "feet." Their Macaron filling is my favorite! Light, creamy, a perfect macaron pastry texture: subtle crispness, soft and moist chewy center. They're $2.50 each now, but it's a sweet treat to indulge myself with.

7 leaves has such a big place in my heart. It brings me back to my childhood when I used to have my older friends in high school take me to get a cup of their sea salt jasmine tea. Now they've come up with so many delicious flavors. Their customer service never disappoints. They always want you to leave the place happy. Ambiance is calming and clean. I love this place so much. If you haven't tried their Brazilian Lemonade ask for a taste, they'll let you try it. That's how I got to loving the drink.

Ask the Community - 7 Leaves Cafe

How much caffeine is in the House Coffee?

Hi, sorry I do not know the exact answer. However, it's Vietnamese style coffee which is pretty strong IMO and I think that is why they add a lot of ice. If it's not strong enough, to increase it's strength you can request less ice and/or add free… Read more

    Do they have any boba?

Yes. But sometimes if it's too early in the morning, they don't. Depends on location.

    Do they have printer there?

If they did it wouldn't be for public use. Idk if they have a back office or printer. In short, don't expect to come here and print anything.

Do they have any nondairy milk teas?

They have non milk tea based options and also have soy milk so you could possibly ask for that non dairy option!

    Drive thru by chance?

No drive through. Parking is okay except at night and the weekend around dinner. They have valet when it gets busy.

Me and my partner are frequent flyers here as well for their popular items the spring roll. Definitely can stay the best spring rolls in OC. Banh Canh - broth was watery when usually this dish is suppose to be a thicker broth. Flavor wise could be stronger with the crab/shimp. Flavor didn't stick well to noodles and thus just tasted like rice noodles with broth Bun Bo Hue - broth was also watery with a lack of flavor. I tasted a mild beefy/spicy broth but the same as the Banh Canh it could've been stronger. I tried better at other Vietnamese places. They do provide the fixings for the soup with nice meaty pieces and noodles cooked al dente. Nem Chua spring rolls - soft rice paper wrapping with veggie fixings inside and crispy egg roll wrapper inside. veggies tasted nice and fresh. Sauce pairs well without overpowering with a fish sauce taste with some sweetness. Banh Knot - crispy edges with a nice sweetness in flavor. Alone I didn't prefer it but should be eaten with the fixings. Egg rolls - good and crispy. Nice flavor with the nice fish sauce with sweetness noted after. Nothing special and taste the best with the veggie fixings. Drink (coco sugar cane) - different from other coco sugar cane drinks I tried. Has a fruity/citrus taste with a mild coconut taste. I wouldn't get this again but open to trying another drink Drink (sweet cream Thai Tea) - typical Thai tea. For me this was very sweet especially with the cream added. I had to water this down but flavor wise just tasted like a regular Thai tea. Overall, we will continue to come for the spring rolls and definitely open to trying other dishes/beverages. Their menu is pretty extensive so a few trips will be made :)

Only recently was I able to visit and try their croffles and other sweets. Did NOT know that this was inside the H Mart food court in Diamond Jamboree. Parking is horrendous and the driving there is horrendous as well. There's no indicator for the parking garage so on a particularly busy day, you can head all the way to the top, find nothing and navigate through the hell crowds trying to leave. Ambiance is a very casual, counter order business in the food court. There's seating there, but we ate really close by. Definitely something you have to eat immediately or the texture will not be optimal or it might get soggy. We got the tiramisu croffle and they toasted it and put it together for us there. The lady working there packed it up nicely in a to go box and we got some cookies (regular ones and almond crisp ones). It's a bit sweet, but they're dessert pastries so that makes sense. Goes great with a brewed cup of tea. Croffle had a nice semi-chewy texture and the tiramisu flavor added a bit of a coffee taste to it. Good balance of the cream and croffle. The cookie wasn't too bad either. Overall not a bad to go dessert spot.

When they handed me my drink it was a plain banana latte with no foam or brittle. I was ignored when I tried calling for the barista until another girl followed up - however this girl had an attitude. The same girl with the attitude remade my drink and handed it to me. No thank you, no sorry, nothing. First time experiencing this kind of service. When we ordered the cinnamon roll, there was no option to heat it up, so we thought they would have done it already. When it was served, it was rock solid. So, we asked them to heat it up. However, after a few minutes, it still wasn't that gooey and the inner core was still pretty tough. Perhaps they could have warmed it up so that it was evenly softened. Overall, the cinnamon roll was alright. It was a brioche roll so you would think it might be lighter and fluffy, but ours was pretty dry. However, the cream on top was insanely good. It carried the roll. The hazelnut twist was kind of what you would expect. A twisted pastry but with a hefty amount of hazelnut-chocolate spread thru the layers. We sat in a little nook, where there was a magnetic black board, where there were word tiles you could rearrange in any way. It was a nice place to just look around at all the sentences the community wrote. Chess tables were also available as extra seating.
