First time here, and wow, what a busy place! I loved the lively atmosphere. This is the largest Vietnamese restaurant I've ever been to! I ordered the famous pork spring rolls and a pork and seafood soup. Both were excellent in quality and taste, and the soup was piping hot. This was some of the best food I've had eating out in a long time! The only hiccup was that I think my spring rolls were delivered to the gentleman sitting next to me, who arrived later and ordered the same thing. Mine were missing until I pointed it out, and they eventually brought them over. My Royal Tea Boba drink was also missing initially. Despite the mix-up with my order, the food was fantastic, and I'd definitely recommend giving this place a try!
We made a reservation before hand because they are always busy. Parking is in a big lot so we didn't have to worry about it. Inside was clean and busy. The server we had was amazing. He was really on top of our orders and where everything should go. Checked to make sure nothing was missing. I got the beef stew with a baguette, nem spring rolls, Thai green tea. The Thai green tea didn't really impress me. The beef stew was so flavorful and rich. You could also tell the bread was fresh. The spring rolls were a major hit with our table! Overall they really know how to season their food and made sure all ingredients paired with everything.
My family loves Brodard. It is a go-to restaurant whenever we visit SoCal. We came on during Saturday dinner rush so it was quite busy! We had to wait over 30 mins for a table. There were a lot of people waiting outside. We were given menus immediately. Ordered quite a few dishes but the nem spring rolls are the best! It is definitely a must eat. I'm pretty sure they are known for it. We have ordered these to go before as well. You can even find it at SNA airport. Overall, food is great. Price can be a bit pricy, but worth it.
Did my order online through Toast and paid. My order was ready when I arrived. The Vietnamese egg rolls didn't make it home very well. They weren't crispy anymore. Ordered my favorite Vietnamese Crepes!!! Delicious. This location is always busy and the Long Beach location is scheduled to open 1 Oct. Ok, bye.
This is such an iconic OC staple and whenever I find myself in the vicinity, I get a major craving for their nem nuong (pork sausage) spring rolls. It really is that good.. and the warm sauce that it comes with is chef's kiss. This place is massive, but don't be fooled. You need to join the Yelp waitlist, or you'll find yourself sitting around and waiting for awhile. We ordered the following: 1) Nem nuong spring rolls - We ended putting in 3 order for this because one is not enough for each person! My daughter gobbled this up! 2) Lemon Pepper Chicken Wings - Holy moly this was also super good! Perfect crisp and flavor! I also liked the sauteed onions and peppers that accompanied them. 3) Brodard Special - This came with grilled chicken, grilled shrimp, BBQ pork, and nem nuong crispy eggrolls over vermicelli, accompanied with Asian greens, peanuts and lime chili fish sauce. It was perfect since it had a sampler of different items especially when there are so many options on the menu and you get decision fatigue. The staff was also great since they are very efficient when taking orders and when its time to pay the bill. They run a tight ship, but for good reason. Parking can be tricky since it is in a strip mall, but something opened up closer to the grocery store side. All in all, there is a reason why this place is always so busy! They have delicious food!
I've had their famous grilled pork spring rolls at parties and what not, but this was my first time eating at the actual restaurant. I didn't realize it was near so many other popular Asian spots like Vox Kitchen and Airoma. The restaurant is very spacious and has a little bakery area in the front. There are lots of tables and they can easily accommodate big groups. We started with grilled pork ($11.40/ 4 rolls) and shrimp spring rolls ($12.40/ 4 rolls). It was my first time trying the shrimp ones and I liked them just as much as the pork. We also got the Luna Rice Cakes with Shrimp ($18.95) which were so cute and tasted good too. For my main, I ordered the Shaken Beef with Garlic Noodle ($26.95). It had a good amount of beef, but could have used more noodles. The filet mignon beef was tender and very flavorful. It was a pretty good first experience. The service was quick although they didn't check up on us much or refill our waters. I'm not an expert on Vietnamese food but we enjoyed what we had.
This restaurant is always on our list to eat at when visiting SoCal. I'm not exaggerating when I say I daydream about these spring rolls. Shrimp is nice and fresh and grilled pork is savory and flavorful, plus a signature deep-fried rolled egg roll or wonton wrapper tucked inside that gives the spring roll its iconic "crunch." The signature orange dipping sauce brings it all together. The Bún Bò Huế was so delicious. It perfectly balanced savory, spicy, citrusy, and umami flavors in the broth. Generous portions of meat in the bowl as well. Service was quick and you get your food shortly after ordering. There's a large parking lot. Expect long waits during meal rush hours.
I love their grilled pork spring rolls! A friend first brought some for me to try and I've been craving them ever since. I honestly wish there was a Brodard closer to home so I wouldn't have to drive to OC whenever I want them lol. It was our first time dining in last Saturday. We went around 5 PM and joined the waitlist thru Yelp since I had read that waits can get long, but luckily we didn't wait very long. The restaurant itself is really nice and I liked the decor. We ordered the grilled pork spring rolls, shaken beef with rice, and BBQ chicken with garlic noodles. Everything was delicious. The staff and servers were also friendly and attentive. My only complaint is that the default gratuity options were 20, 25, and 30%, which felt a little excessive to me. You can enter your own amount, but I was still annoyed that the preset options started that high. Anyway we will definitely stop by again whenever we're in OC.
Came highly recommended from one of my friends. I was driving up the 405 and decided to stop by to grab a late lunch to-go for my drive to LAX. It's a huge free standing restaurant in the same strip mall complex as many of the Kei Concept restaurants. There's a separate to-go section and the line moves quickly. The staff was very friendly and helpful since it was my first time. I ordered the most popular items. The shrimp spring rolls and the pork spring rolls. I can honestly say they were some of the best I've had. And the crunch was so surprising. Although, the biggest surprise was the dipping sauce. OMG. That was the best sauce I've ever had. I may go back just to order the sauce.
The best nem nuong spring roll I've ever had. Usually the fried dough in the middle is crunchy, but theirs is crispy and crumbles into a bunch of tiny pieces. So light and addicting. Filling as well The mi toi Bo luc lac is a classic. Chewy savory beef and thick egg noodle. Honestly a quite a bite
We can here on a Saturday afternoon, extremely busy. We had to wait about 30-45 minutes to be seated and about 20 minutes to get our food. The food itself was also not amazing. The place is known for spring rolls so I assume that it would be good to try, but the sauce was too sweet and the roll just lacked sustenance. Very large restaurant though and bathrooms are good.
This place is JUMPING!!!! It was so busy on a week night!!! After eating, we could see why! The grilled pork spring roll is to die for!!!! It was my favorite! Second place goes to the shaken beef and garlic noodle! The noodle has a nice chew and the meat is so soft! The garlic rice with chicken is also very good . . The rice is so flavorful! Service is lightning fast and there's a lot of energy in the restaurant! We will need to come back here!!!!!
Love their spring rolls, of course! I only get the shrimp paste ones - they taste so much better than the pork. Really love that they include a crispy roll of rice paper inside to make things a little crispy with every bite. The delicious sauce is what makes everything come together nicely. What does suck is the price of macarons has gone up to $2.75 from $1.25. The place is always busy, so I highly recommend ordering online ahead of time if you're just looking for a quick bite to go. But even then you still have to get in line just to pick up your order, which totally defeats the purpose of ordering ahead. They should just do what Starbucks does - leave the orders on a counter!

Brodard is a nice, spacious restaurant to spend time with friends. I came here for dinner recently and tried out some new food items. The service was friendly. The food was decent. * Deluxe Brodard Broken Rice - Kurobuta Pork Chop 4/5 - The broken rice was flavorful, and I really enjoyed the egg loaf and the shrimp cake in soy wrap. However, I didn't like the pork chop's flavor, and it was kind of tough. I think the regular BBQ pork would have been better. * Grilled Beef in Betel Leaf Crepe Noodles (Bò lá lốt) 4.5/5 - The grilled beef was tasty and unique. Definitely something to try. The betel leaf was okay. * Grilled Pork Spring Rolls 5/5 - Always a hit, especially with their yummy peanut sauce. Everyone at our table ordered this for themselves. read more

A classic Vietnamese option in OC.... Came here with my girlfriends, and we got sat right away. We ordered a few spring rolls, egg rolls, bun cha, and noodles. The spring rolls and bun cha here are always solid. Service was great, and this location is spacious and has TVs for those looking to watch a game. If you are looking for a place to take folks to pop their Vietnamese food cherry, this is a solid option. read more
Oct '26: Indeed, Brodard had finally raised their DD prices from their menu equivalent. Breakdown analysis for ya: Menu: $8.55/(3 rolls), or $11.40/4. Translates to $2.85/piece evenly. DD: $10/3 = $13.34/4 = $3.34/pc. (idk why they also've $7.90/2, which = $3.95/pc haha.) So for $80: Brodard direct gets ya $80/$2.85 = 28 rolls. Costco (DD) gets ya $100/$3.34 = 30 rolls. (I then redid the math with tax included. Same result.) ~ In other words, the effort to buy DD gc's from Costco, and taking the time to hold the cards over a trash can and to find a coin/key to scratch them, and opening the DD app to redeem the codes... all equate to a whopping *TWO* extra grilled pork spring rolls!! *0* ~bonkers~ '+ ONE notable perk: ordering on DD has an "Add Special Instructions" section before checkout. Ordering Brodard direct (on toast platform, actually) doesn't include an instructions section. Please cut each roll in half! Good for potlucks. ;) '- However, buying gift cards at Costco means you can't self-checkout (faster aisles); gotta go the crowded, slower employee-assisted checkout lanes. ~~ All in all, buying those nifty "free money" Costco gc's, you start to ask yourself: are you actually LOSING money?? . Note: just beware any extra fees on DD. I took advantage of DD pass, so not seeing any extra fees on my bill atm. _____ Update Aug '26: Online ordering: not a good deal on DD anymore. $13.34 a pop. Better stick to toast: $11.40 (menu price). My total coulda been $49.60 instead of $58.03. I guess it's just as well that Costco's long discontinued the DD $100/80 gc's. _____ May '24: tl,dr: Come here for their flagship, the famous nem nướng cuốn of Brodard! Likes: + They are famous for their nem nướng cuốn (grilled pork spring rolls). Goes great with their orange special sauce and spicy chili. + I can order online ahead and pick up my grilled pork spring rolls shortly after arrive. Even so, there's usually a wait because many others order ahead too. + I like that in my online order I can request to have each roll shrinkwrapped and cut in half. Non-likes: - Always crowded and loud inside. Granted, it's a popular restaurant. - Big but crowded parking lot. - Silly physical menu design. No prices listed on there. They tell you to scan the QR code on the table, then you gotta scroll til you find the price of the item you want. They should just print all the prices directly onto the physical menu. - I feel conned by the "Beef Bourguignon" trick. Its name (Bò Nấu Rượu) sounded really fancy. But once they brought it out, I realized it's pretty much just Bò Kho (beef stew). I was expecting something exotic, and I got something all too familiar. They should rename that item: from Beef Bourguignon (Bò Nấu Rượu) to Bread and Beef Stew (Bánh mì với Bò Kho). And if there really was any alcohol cooking in there, just admit that there's very little of it in the description. Or just give me the entire bottle, then we're even. read more

Nice big restaurant, clean atmosphere. Excellent service. Very attentive. The spring rolls with the sauce is very solid. I got the broken rice with chicken. The chicken was super juicy and cooked to perfection. The rest of the dish was good as well. Overall it feels like a safe bet for good viet food. read more
One of my family's favorites! We ordered the grilled pork, shrimp, and bo bia (jicama, carrot, dried shrimp, Chinese sausage) spring rolls - all of which were delicious and so fresh. I can't have the sauce that normally comes with the rolls, but dipping them in the hoisin-like sauce and fish sauce was so good! We also tried the che ba mau (3-color dessert) with a creamy coconut base, beans, and jellies. Perfect for texture lovers like me! I need to come back to try their other main entrees - everything looked amazing, and the service was so quick! read more
Came here with a couple of friends/former colleagues for my belated birthday treat on 6/29. Consistently good food and quick service. We shared a few items: Signature Spring Rolls (1 each of pork and shrimp), Bo Luc Lac and Udon with Shrimp cakes. Of course, I cannot leave this place without having my favorite sugarcane drink and their taro dessert. read more

Yelp Elite Review Brodard is SO good. I especially loved the spring rolls and their sauce. Unlike the usual peanut sauce you get at Vietnamese restaurants, theirs was super unique, savory, and seriously delicious. The pork vermicelli bowl was amaaaazing too. I love that they use thinner rice noodles, and the fish sauce had such a great flavor. Everything just tasted really fresh and well balanced. But please save room for dessert! Their dessert selection is incredible. I strongly recommend the coconut cake and the mango dessert. Oh my goodness. You can order dessert from your waiter, or even grab takeout desserts and enjoy them right at your table. Overall, such a great experience. Amazing food, great flavors, and definitely a place I'd recommend! read more
On our way home, we stopped by. I'm not sure of the hype to be waiting for close to 1 hour. But someone wanted to eat here so we waited.... The host and servers are extremely nice. The restaurant is bigger than your usual Vietnamese restaurant which is a plus. While waiting I was checking the delicious desserts they had. Looked so good. They're to go ordering is super fast. I have been here before and I just never thought to review. The place is clean and roomy. I do light the decor, simple yet nice. We ordered 4 dishes including the their famous rolls - Nem Cuon. Overall it was good but it didn't wow to me to want to wait in line again. If anything to go is way better and just find a nearby park to eat. Bar seating was quick if you don't mind it, so there are ways to get seated faster instead of just waiting as long as we did. Enjoy read more
I've heard great things about Brodard. When I finally got the chance to try it, we were needing takeout and wanted something refreshing. It was time to try their famous spring rolls at last! The takeout was easy to pickup at a separate area and packed up nicely. We got one 2 pc grilled shrimp and one 2 pc Nem Chua Bo (for me it looked and tasted like a beef version of spam). Both were great! I loved the sauce that came with the Nem Chua Bo as opposed to the grilled shrimp. read more
The food and drinks here are fantastic! They are a well oiled machine, the service is impeccable. I absolutely love their egg rolls as well as the Vietnamese coffee, but you really can't go wrong with anything on their menu. The ingredients are always fresh and everything is prepared to perfection. The prices are well worth it. Plenty of easy parking and large and spacious seating inside as well as a separate takeout counter. Highly recommend recommended! read more
Over the past decades, when we're in Westminster, my family likes to eat at Brodard. One of our favorite are the chargrilled shrimp rolls and the chargrilled pork rolls. They're known the for dipping sauce that come with these rolls. We always order a variety of dishes, but the staple is always an assortment of the rolls. We put ourselves on the yelp waitlist at 6:55PM. As any normal person, you wait till you get a text that your table is ready to go in and check with the front desk. 8:14PM hits and I get a text that I've been taken off the waitlist. I go in and tell them the situation and dude at the front desk said I should've checked in. Exactly how would I know to check in if they never sent any notification??? Absolutely ridiculous!! Whoever works in the front needs retraining. Or don't use the Yelp system if you don't know how to use it??? Second, table next to us got their food first after being sat down after us. Then they gave us the wrong order. The waiter was nice. The nem nuong roll was good but the sauce was watery/soupy??? when normally it's orange and thick. Don't get me started in the state of the women's bathroom....let's just say it looks like it was neglected all day or week...L after L unfortunately. read more
We walked into Brodard at peak lunch hour on saturday and were able to find seats at the bar. We were also allowed to bring drinks from Airoma next door which was nice. The staff is very attentive and immediately brought us water and utensils. We got the pork spring rolls which were so delicious! I like the flavor of the marinade on the pork and the crunch of the egg roll bits on the inside is amazing. Plus, the dipping sauce is really good too. It may be a small thing but i don't like how the leek(?) or green onion in the rolls is super tough and long, hard to break off with your teeth. I have fully yanked those out on accident while eating these rolls many times. Overall, I really like brodard for a quick and healthy lunch. read more
This place is always busy even during early morning. Super spacious. They have a lot of variety different kind of foods. We got the vermicelli plate, rice plate, banh khot, and spring rolls. Since we ordered to go we did not expect banh khot to be crunchy but it was really really soft. The vermicelli and rice plates were just okay. Spring rolls were good but I don't think the sauce was very good. Missing flavors and spicy! The best dish was bun cha Ha Noi. It was flavorful and spicy! Loved it read more
For sure have to try their famous pork spring rolls here it's a must. I've also tried their ribeye rolls but it was ok don't recommend. Their shaken beef with garlic noodles was really good with tender flavorful beef, worth the price. I'd recommend brodard if you want to try variations of Vietnamese cuisine since they have dishes from north to south. Service was good and friendly. Be prepared to wait if you come on the weekends. read more

I was really impressed with the way the restaurant is set up. The to-go / pickup line moved quickly and efficiently for me to grab a few Nem Nuong Cuon and head out. I found it amazing that there's an entire team at the rolling station working nonstop to fulfill orders. Each roll is packed with flavorful grilled pork, and herbaceous vegetables making every bite taste vibrant which is why these rolls continue to my favorites. I was never a big fan of the pre-packaged sambal included in my order. It changes the flavor of the dipping sauce making it taste sour. I asked for fresh in house chilis, but they weren't be able to provide that. But if you were to dine-in, fresh chilis are available by request. We visited brodard while we were in socal this past weekend. My boyfriends cousin lives in Irvine and she found this place. I'm glad she put us on the waitlist but I think the wait is only long if you have a big party. First impression of this restaurant is that it was a bit disorganized. Even just checking in on their yelp was a mess. You have the same line for people putting their name down and people wanting to check in for their table so it was just a bit messy. On top of that the line for their to go counter also bleeds into the check-in line so so you can only imagine how many are in one area. This place can get busy especially on the weekends. We didn't have to wait to long because we had already put our name before even heading into the restaurant. We ordered the chicken spring roll, egg roll and pork vermicelli, lemongrass vermicelli and steak and rice. I would say all the food we got was actually pretty good. The spring roll was decent but it was the vermicelli bowls that we enjoyed a lot. I definitely enjoyed the lemon grass vermicelli. It is definitely worth the try I would say, food and is good. I also appreciate that we had a couple of folks who checked up on our table to make sure we had everything we needed. read more

We've been here so many times and have loved all the dishes. There is truly no dish that can go wrong unless you have a specific preference for certain meats or noodles/rice. A staple order would normally be: spring rolls (nem and bo bia are my favs). Luna cakes are honestly like little banh xeos in bite size form. We tried the banh hoi today and it was tasty. Close enough to something home cooked when you're missing family. We tried at least one new dish each time we're here. All the veggies are fresh, desserts and dessert drinks are always refreshing. Not too sweet. You can expect the mediocre average service and environment of most Asian restaurants. Although, most waiters are nice even if they don't speak much English and are always willing to help/answer questions. One complaint today is the host was rather inconsiderate of our baby stroller. It's a weekday late afternoon, while busy, not packed and many tables were open for seating. The host kept asking myself and my husband if the stroller was foldable. The first time he asked me, I let him know no issue folding it up to keep it away from the aisle. He then proceeded to ask my husband who answered the same thing. We get to a small booth and he proceeds to ask again if the stroller can be folded. This person spoke enough English to know we acknowledged his question so I'm not sure what was the matter with him. It honestly was a nightmare to try to squeeze ourselves with the folded stroller in the booth and then also putting the baby seat onto the freaking table?! Like what choice did we have. We ordered plenty of food and drinks, it was so sad how we were treated. When you have a baby and are trying to survive/have a nice meal, at least be aware not everyone at the restaurant will know how to make you feel comfortable. 3.5/5 Stars I think Brodard's quality has gone downhill a bit. We initially came for spring rolls to go, but decided to dine in and try some of their dishes since it has been years. We ordered a Bun Thit Nuong Cha Gio and it was good but the portion size was SO SMALL for the price you're paying. We also got the curry seafood noodles and it was good but also on the smaller portion size. Unfortunately, I think it's not worth coming here for their entrees anymore. Well. Online ordering via Toast is super easy, but it feels and looks like they changed the way they make their fresh shrimp and pork spring rolls. Brodard absolutely lives up to the hype. The fried rice was one of the best I've had, perfectly seasoned with great texture, generous shrimp, and a balance of savory flavors that kept me going back for more. The real standout, though, was the spring rolls. Both the classic pork sausage rolls and duck rolls were easily 10/10. Fresh, packed with flavor, and paired with excellent dipping sauces, they're worth the visit alone. The menu is extensive, making it a great spot whether you're already a fan of Vietnamese cuisine or looking to explore it for the first time. The noodles were delicious as well, though the fried rice and rolls stole the show. A few tips: join the Yelp waitlist before arriving, as it gets very busy. Parking can be crowded, but the lot is large enough to usually find a spot. We were seated quickly, though dessert/take out lines were long. Service was limited due to how packed the restaurant was, and the atmosphere can feel a bit rushed during peak hours. That said, the food more than makes up for it. How long do the pork and shrimp rolls last for? Can I get them a day in advance for a party or will it not taste good overnight?
The rice paper gets hard and dried out but maybe if you put a moist towel over the tray it will help. I'd call the restaurant and ask to be sure but I wouldn't recommend it. And the sauce is served warm.
As of July 17 2022 does brodard have outdoor dining?
Unfortunately they do not. But because of the location it's best that they don't. You would be overlooking a Parking Lot.
