Omg omg omg Let me tell you . No seats no table kinda place. Go order or call in or online your order. The BEST Banh Khot I ever had in my life. Crispy outside and warm and satisfying filling . They use small Shrimp though. It's only to go. And just eat in the car make a mess! Support small business. Go try it and you'll keep dreaming of the taste well after you have eaten it. Banh Khot Lady !! GO you will be so satisfied you'll cry!!!
This place is insanely busy, but I'm glad we finally got to try the food. The banh khot remained crispy even though we did take out. I like their sauce, it was sweet with a tiny bit of heat. It's a perfect takeout restaurant. Service was quick and easy. There was a promotion today? $1 per banh khot. My husband went to order right when it was opened and there was already a ton of take out orders. He tried calling before he went into the restaurant to order, but he didn't get through. I wonder if people order the day before for 11am pick up? But yes, prepare to wait. Everything comes out hot and fresh.
I can't believe it's taken me so long to try this place, but I finally made it out here. First off, I didn't realize how incredibly small the interior was. There's one table and some stools to sit facing out the window inside, and two tables on the outside. This place gets super packed inside. For the food, I got the 5/2 combo which came out to about $14. This includes 5 banh knots and 2 egg rolls. The pictures are deceiving because the portion size is a lot smaller than anticipated. The wait for the food was 15-20 minutes and it was still crispy when we picked it up. In terms of the taste, everything was good. The banh knot was small but crispy. Had a nice coconut flavor to it and was substantial for its size (dense and not light). It paired nicely with the herbs and the thick fish sauce. The egg roll was also good too, but not as memorable as the banh knot. Overall, I would bring my friends here but I wouldn't frequent this place due to the portion size and the price.
I ordered the 5pc banh khot with shrimp and pork. I didn't realize you could order ahead and pick up so I would recommend doing that since they're made to order. It took about 15-20 mins after ordering to get my order. It's more of a pick up and go place. The inside is pretty small with very limited seating. There were a few seats outside but it was pretty hot. The employee was really friendly. The banh khot was tasty and tasted really good!!!
Deliciousss!! :D I've never had banh khot before, but my friend was raving about this place as it is his go-to spot! We came on a Friday afternoon, and it didn't look too busy. The inside didn't really have a lot of seating, but they also have some outdoor small seats. We were told it was going to be an hour wait, so we just went ot a cafe nearby. Because of this, I would also recommend ordering beforehand. When we picked up the banh khot, it was super crispy and fresh! The lettuce and pickled veggies were refreshing. I would go here again, but would just order before coming. YUUUMMM

Perfect for party. Everyone loves Banh Khot from here, the crispiness of the batter last for several hours so we did not need to warm it up ( which is convenient for road trip/ out door party as well). Me and my friends prefer this combo of Mini banh khot and Egg roll. I like that though this is fried food, it is not too greasy. ( some places that I ordered before the togo box was soaked in oil) +1 for presentation. Their fish sauce is pretty good too!
Pro tip is to order ahead via online. This will save you lots of time. This is a small mom and pop biz so they get a lot of orders and do their best to fulfill online and in person orders. Packaging and presentation is sooo cute. I ordered the 15 Bánh Khot & 5 egg rolls combo box $36.49. Everything was made to order and fresh. Bánh khot was nice and crispy. Got a handful of lettuce to eat the Bánh khot and egg rolls with. Everything was delicious!! Recommend!! Worth the hype.
BEST Banh Khot Ever!! I was aware of the business but I haven't had the chance to come by until recently. I was reminded of them during the evacuation of garden grove and surround areas due to toxic chemical leaks. Banh Khot Lady kindly donated food to the shelters, and I heard they also donated food during the LA Fires. What a kind business. I believe in supporting businesses that support the community. Banh Khot Lady is located in the same small strip mall as Binh Dan. They have limited parking so I actually parked on the streets nearby and walked over. There was 2 small tables outside and a small seating area along the small edge of the front of the store. Their business model seems to be more for to-go orders. They had a lot of party tray options on their menu. In addition to the banh khot, the also have eggrolls here. Yum. And even better is that they have this 5/2 Combo ($13.99) where you can get 5 banh khots and 2 egg rolls with accompanying fresh veggies. What a deal! The cashier was really nice. She warned me it would take about 25 minutes. I didn't have pressing plans that day so I was able to wait. Next time I would preorder for pick up. Lesson learned. The food was ready a little earlier than the estimated time. I really appreciate their thoughtful packaging here. The had high quality lettuce to wrap with the banh khot and egg rolls. There was also the pickled carrots and daikons. It was THE PERFECT BITE! Wow the banh khot is crispy on the edge but still soft in the center. SO GOOD!! I will definitely be back! I'll have to order some party trays for the family to try!! That's the biggest compliment I can give a restaurant... the feeling when I love it so much I want my loved ones to try it too. This place has been on my radar for sometime! They are known for their banh khot but we got the combo 15 banh khot, 5 eggrolls box. It came with fresh veggies and herbs, pickled carrots and daikon, and fish sauce. I enjoyed the crisp and crunchiness of both banh khot and eggrolls. The eggrolls were pretty standard, and also had a shrimp tail sticking out, making it pretty fancy. The banh khot was more coconut forward, so a bit sweeter than my liking. The fish sauce was perfect! Not too stinky lol! I also do wish they put more veggies and herbs, because we didn't have enough lettuce to wrap up the banh khot. Overall, very nice presentation though. It was nice that we got to order online and arrange a pickup time. We were maybe 15-20 minutes early, and they didn't have the order ready yet, which was totally fine. They started working on our order promptly, which was very considerate. Service was overall very friendly. The restaurant is small, and there's limited seating, so it's more of a to-go place. Small like shop that basically only makes banh knots and eggs rolls. Ordered - Shrimp Banh Khots - Edges were really nice and crispy. They were a little bigger and deeper than the ones my mom makes at home so I felt like there was a bit more batter to shrimp ratio. I felt like their shrimp was on the slightly smaller size but I appreciate how if it was a small shrimp, they would give you multiple shrimps. Banh Khots were served with various greens, pickled daikons and carrots, and fish sauce. I appreciated how the daikon and carrots were cut into a thin circle shapes instead of strips because it was nice to just lay the circles on the banh knot. It was a bit of a wait. We got there about 10 minutes they opened on a Friday. We ended up waiting about 40 minutes until our food was ready. It seems like they get a lot of online orders so that contributed to the wait. Would probably recommend ordering online next time. Staff were nice and food came out really hot and fresh so I didn't mind the wait too much. Seating is a bit limited though. They had one table inside and a couple inside.

Be prepared for a wait anywhere from 20-40 minutes, but it's honestly worth it. I ordered the 10-piece banh khot, and the portion size was huge! The banh khot was crispy on the outside, soft in the middle, and had such a good savory flavor with the perfect crunch. The inside is super cute and simple, though probably better for smaller groups rather than big parties. Overall, such a good experience and absolutely worth the wait! Would definitely come again!!

Delicious!! We called ahead and placed an order. We got the 5/2 combo. It was about a 20-25 minute wait so it wasn't bad at all. The actual place is small with very little seating. It definitely is a take out place. They packaged it with care, ensuring the food stayed crispy. I live about 45 minutes away so I can confirm the food stayed super crispy and it was still delicious when I got home. Highly recommend! read more

Honestly one of the crispiest banh khot in oc. Its a very small shop so there's maybe like 3 tables and a bar for seating. I would recommend putting an order ahead of time. When I went for 20 banh khot, it was around a 20 minute wait for maybe a 2-3 more parties came it was an hour plus wait for them. The food was very filling, I was worried the 20 banh khot wasn't gong to be enough but I think it can comfortably feed 2-3 people. I comes in a pizza box style take out with fish sauce, veggies and pickle carrots/daikon. The plaza itself doesn't have a lot of parking but park in the neighbor next to it. Please be patient, its a small shop with small staff ! read more
If you're in the area you need to stop by. You can call in your order to avoid waiting, it's made to order. We phoned in a 20 piece and she gave is a 25 minute wait on a Saturday around 3pm. We already had lunch prior to picking this up and took it home but we also didn't have it right away. It was still extremely crispy even after sitting for 4 hours. Veggies were fresh and banh knot were flavorful, crispy and easy to eat. Might be more of a pick up to-go kind of place unless you want to dine there. They have 2 short squatting style tables outside with mini stools. But it's much more comfortable eating it home personally. read more

I've been loving banh khot lately, and Banh Khot lady specializes in just that! They also have egg rolls and some chips and drinks, but that's about it on their menu! You order banh khots and egg rolls by the piece or as a combo box. They're nicely presented in a pizza box, so they're perfect for gatherings. For the banh khots, you can get it with shrimp only, pork only, or shrimp and pork. They are so nice and crispy! It also comes with a bag of lettuce and herbs, pickled veggies, and the tastiest fish sauce! I like that the veggies were fresh, and putting all of the ingredients together creates the perfect blend of textures and flavors! Highly recommend! read more
I loved it! They are a hyped up spot for good reason. I had wanted to try Banh Knot Lady for a few years now. I would periodically see social media posts of their food and always wanted to try it. They are located in a small complex neighboring the Chase Bank. Parking is limited but there is a street parking in case you need can't find a spot. The location is small but does have indoor and outdoor low seating. The staff were really welcoming and patience. I had seen online the banh knot and egg rolls in a pizza box for catering orders. Since we never tried these we went with the 5/2 combo. 5 Banh Knot and 2 Egg rolls. We've had Banh Xeo before and these Banh Knot are bite sized mini versions. We opted for the Shrimp & Pork. The order was ready in under 10 minutes. We ate inside and these were so good. Freshly made and still hot. The flavors were tremendous. The crispness in each bite was memorable. You get a good audible crunch each time you dig in. They are served with pickled veggies, mint leaves, lettuce, and fish sauce. Enjoy them any way you like. We left happy and the whole time the staff made us feel right at home. I wouldn't mind driving here again and again to eat these. Sheesh! Next time we might just get a combo box. Finally, I made the time to try this place! I used to eat homemade banh khot when I was younger, and when I saw this place on Yelp I had to save it to my bookmarks. It took me forever to finally go, but I'm glad I did. I was going to place my order online but I noticed that there was no availability for the same day (that day). So, I decided to call and was able to place an order for pickup. I ordered the 30-piece Shrimp & Pork Banh Khot. I figured that it would be enough for my girlfriend and I, and boy, it was more than enough! I arrived to the restaurant at my desired pick-up time and had no trouble finding parking in the small parking lot. I'm sure if I had to I could park in the neighborhood as well. The restaurant is small with minimal seating inside and tiny tables (literally, tiny!) outside. I approached the counter and received my order in a pizza style box. How was it? - Shrimp & Pork Banh Khot: My 30-piece order looked beautiful. Neatly arranged in the box with vegetables and fish sauce. Each banh khot was cooked to perfection, crispy on the outer edge. The fish sauce was so good, if I could order a gallon I would. I ended up using my leftover sauce for a homemade meal with rice :D. Everything tasted so good! Service was good. Both people I interacted with were very friendly. Definitely a place to try and revisit! read more
Tried the banh khot and they have pork, shrimp , or pork & shrimp. Got 30 pieces to go and they give you fish sauce, lettuce and carrots togo. Each piece has a shrimp and pork meat. The yellow cupcake thing was crispy but soft towards the middle. I dont know how much other places cost but its about $1.55 a piece so its not bad considering theres a shrimp in each piece. service is a bit slow as there's only one person working the front, so I'd recommend placing an order on the phone for pick up instead of dining in. the wait for 20 banh knots on a Sunday at 130p was 1hr! Banh khot (20pc to go box): 9/10. Subtracting 1 pt since it's expensive af ($35.49 for 20pcs) but it is otherwise so fresh & crispy & has the perfect hint of coconut. So you either have to call to order ahead of time or place your order online on their website their website is available if you go on Yelp. This spot is located in a small plaza so parking is limited. I ordered the 15 piece combo with the five shrimp and pork egg rolls and the 10 bahn khot with the shrimp and pork. They came in a pizza box with the fresh vegetables and a separate bag, the sauce and a separate container in the pickled veggies in another bag and oh my God I've never had anything like this before The banh khot has a very nice custody texture on the inside and the outside is perfectly fried. I want to say they use some kind of a coconut oil which makes it so delectably crispy. Unlike anything I've ever had even though these things are fried it's just absolutely phenomenal the way they do it here. It is a mom and Pop shop so you know it's good and believe me it was 1 million out of 10. I would definitely come back again. read more
Bánh khọt is one of my favorite hidden gems of Vietnamese cuisine, and I'm always on the hunt to find new places to add to my list. When I saw Banh Knot Lady on my Yelp, I knew I had to check it out. Overall, after finally visiting, I was pretty pleased with my experience, although there were a couple of things they could improve on. AMBIANCE: This is a very no-frills, hole-in-the-wall place with small, cramped tables. There are traces of Vietnam throughout the space, with local music playing and Vietnamese snacks for sale on a counter. We opted to dine in because, as you know, bánh khọt is best when it's made fresh! FOOD: I ordered the shrimp-only bánh khọt (20 pieces), which took 20 minutes to prepare. It totaled to around $37. The bánh khọt was delicious with a thick, creamy, and crunchy egg batter. I also appreciated how plentiful and plump the shrimp was. The nước mắm was the perfect ratio of sweet and salty. Pair that with the vegetables provided, and you have the perfect Vietnamese culinary experience. One concern: I thought it was very strange that they do not have a public bathroom. As someone who loves to eat bánh khọt with lettuce wraps, I found it rather unsanitary not to be able to wash my hands before eating. They could benefit from providing hand wipes if they aren't going to have a bathroom available for customers. OVERALL: not my favorite but a solid spot to hit! read more
3.5 but the owner 10 stars! I've had Banh khot lady on my hit list for a very long time. Somehow I stumbled upon Banh khot Vung tau first and it's hard not to compare the differences, hence the 3 rating. I'm not in HB/Westminster/FV/GG area that often. I'm usually there once a month for a pedicure. So after my pedicure my cravings always hit for Banh khot or Banh cuon or Spring rolls .If I can have all 3 at once that would be my death row meal LOL. Anywho I wanted my Vung tau, I came in an hr before closing and the owner had a sign out the door about closing an hr earlier for his daughter's birthday, which I respect wholeheartedly. I was going to go home defeated but I was like oh yea let me try Banh khot Lady ! It was only a mile and a half away. I pull up and my Lord the parking lot is a clusterf*ck. School was out so trying to pull in with the herd of teens crossing was overwhelming, somehow I got the last space right up front. It was Banh khot Wednesday so they were busy as hell!!!! The owner asked if I had a pick up order, I didn't, then he asked if I ever been there, also no. He broke it down, very straightforward menu. He had personality plus was so awesome to everyone coming in. I ordered 9 banh khots , a five piece egg roll and a bag of Chicarron. Wait wasn't too long for me but after it was for others placing their order right there. Fantastic timing on my part. I was starving so I opened the bag of chicarron and OMG CRAAAAACK!!!! I couldn't stop eating them. I had to force myself to stop so I didn't get sick. These were small crackling type pieces, not big puffed chicarron like a liquor store pork rind. I'd totally get it again! 10 stars! Got home, cracked open the Banh khot, I tried one naked without the lettuce mint cilantro fish sauce. Their Banh khot is drastically different than Vung. BKL banh khot were shrimp and pork together. The batter was thick like a mini pancake and spongy, a tad bland. I was too spoiled with Vungs banh khot, their BK are thin and crispy, like a delicious crispy shrimp crepe and lots of green onions and crack pepper sauce along with fish sauce. BKL could definitely use a pepper sauce and go heavy handed with the green onion to top. The texture just wasn't for me. Now the egg rolls! Those were damn delicious!!! Packed with protein. **May 2021- November 2025: Various Weeknights and Weekend Pickups** I first came across this small business on instagram during the pandemic and wanted to support as many mom and pop shops. I remember ordering from them and picking the Banh Knots up from a warehouse in FV and now they have a brick and mortar shop! I think I've ordered from here and also have referred so many of my friends to order here for potlucks throughout the years. My friend recently picked up a box for our most recent Movie Night and it was a hit. The 50 pork/shrimp Banh Knots have a crispy exterior and the proteins give it a nice bite and I love that the box also includes pickled carrots/daikon as well as fresh lettuce, assortment of herbs, and the house special khot sauce. I think if I'm only eating and nothing else at a party I probably would eat about 10ish. Enjoy! read more

This is my go-to place to get bánh khọt for myself and for potlucks to introduce my non-Vietnamese folks to more Vietnamese food (no, it is not a quiche!). The price is a little expensive, but the food is made fresh to order. If needed, you can pre-order online because it can be a 20+ minute wait if you go in person. These bánh khọt can be topped with juicy shrimp or ground pork. Eat them while they're hot because you'll get a satisfying crisp from the batter, and you can wrap them in fresh lettuce and pickled carrots and radish to add a burst of flavor to your bite. Love banh khot lady! Came here on a Wednesday morning and the person taking our orders was SUPER nice and awesome. I don't eat pork so got shrimp banh khot and it was absolutely delicious. The banh khot is super crispy, so flavorful, just amazing. On wednesdays they have a special where each banh khot is $1 and i think the sides are like $2? Something special like that. She's famous for a reason! We did a quick phone order for 15 pcs banh khot with 5 eggrolls since it was only for two people. It came with the dish sauce (nuoc mam) and a bag of fresh washed lettuce and greens like cilantro etc. IYKYK. Oh man so fresh so yummy! The banh khot was everything I imagined! This was one of the best banh knot I've ever had! Walked in was a bit of a wait but definitely worth it. The hype does not disappoint. Came here because TikTok said to... and it did NOT disappoint. Such a cozy spot! We ordered the pork & shrimp bánh khọt with the egg roll combo and everything came out hot and super flavorful. The bánh khọt was soft and tender, and the egg roll was perfectly crispy without being greasy (which is rare). Love the veggies, pickled veggies and sauce that came with them. What is the smallest amount of eggrolls and/or banh khot that can be ordered?
5 is the minimum order for either one. Banh khot is about $10.50. Eggroll is more expensive
Is Pork only still an option?
Yes, you can customize the protein to pork only, shrimp only, etc. Give them a call if you don't see that option online.
They used to have a 5-piece online. It's now only an add-on. (if i buy 20, I can add 5. No standalone order) Please bring it back?
I think the 5 pc Banh khot/ 5 pc egg roll or just 5 pc can only be ordered in person. I think you can try to call and order on the phone so you don't have to wait when ordering in person. Hope this helps.

It's not spicy at all. And the most amazing sauce ever. There are chilis in it, but it's not spicy because of the vinegar in it.
