Wanted to try the banh it ram but it was very oily. About $15 for 4 pieces. This was a trending food but I will pass next time. Their bun bo hue always hits the spot though.
I ordered this to go. It took around 15-20 minutes to be ready but they were quite busy at the time. The banh it ram was delicious even after driving almost an hour to get home and eat it. It was chewy and crispy at the same time with a shrimp/pork filling. The filling was savory and so yummy. Eating it with the sauce elevated it to the next level. I dream about these dumplings. I wish it wasn't so far from me, I would get it more often.
I was here to try the Vietnamese street food Banh Beo. Ordered 8. COMBO BANH BEO - LỌC - NAM Combination of number 6, 11 and 12 $13.90 Salty Lemonade -refreshing Banh Beo dish is usually prepared in a tiny ceramic bowl. It is simply flat steamed rice cake with sprinkled of shrimps, scallion with oil, crispy pork rind, and shallots. To eat it, just pour chili fish sauce over the rice cake and eat the whole steam Cake quickly. It was delicious and savory... In the middle of the dish were BANH NAM and BÁNH LOC TRAN. It was delicious as well. Service was good and ambiance was nice and clean.
Saw banh it ram on the menu and had to try it!! They are made fresh to order so there is a bit of a wait but well worth it. The crunch was there, good amount of filling to mochi ratio, and overall delicious. Also ordered the mi quang but it was okay, too much noodle imo
After watching Ben Ngu's video on YouTube, I'm going to check out this location with my family because I'm visiting Garden Grove. We arrived on Saturday afternoon and were the first customers there. After we arrived, people began to arrive, and the various tables quickly filled up. I believe that everywhere we go, we bring customers to the store, therefore if you want to be busy with customers, contact me. Anyway, we ordered a lot of food, and the one my family and I enjoyed the most was number 13 on the menu, which is named Banh It Kep Banh Nam. It consists of steam mochi dumplings filled with pork and shrimp, topped with ground shrimp and scallion, served over fried mochi dumplings with fish sauce. We enjoy this dish a lot. Although the costs are reasonable, the portions are small. So far, the food has been very delicious. Definitely worth checking out!
tried out the viral dish and was given a texture overload! the rice on the bottom was very crispy and the dough on top had the perfect mochi texture. dish was quite heavy and filled me up!! also tried the mi quang which was filled with seafood and pork with a nice broth. i liked the egg noodles! they give you so many veggies to put inside as well which was perfect! dishes are made fresh and are yummy. inside has a good amount of seating and is nice and open. service is very good and they are very nice!
We are happy and would love to come back and try more food items on the menu! We stopped in for Bánh ít Ram! They were bigger than I thought, very very crispy and chewy dumpling on top! Great flavors, fresh, and the crunch lived up to the hype! We couldn't stay just passing through this time, but created with friendly staff and calm atmosphere. I could see this as a nice go to spot for casual dining
Parking is spacious. There are a lot of tables inside, but it was fairly empty for a weekend. I placed an order via phone for very trending banh it ram, and it was ready within 15-20min. The portion was generous and the inside actually had a good amount of filling (pork slices and small whole shrimp), compared to other places! It was made fresh, so the bottom was also well crisped. Nuoc mam fish sauce was seasoned well. 5 stars for the banh it ram, which you can try here without a line around the building.
The bun Bo hue was super loaded with toppings which was great. Soup had a clean flavor, and the accompanying veggies were fresh

There is also a generous portion of fresh veggies to add to your bún bò huế! Service here is pretty quick, we received our food not too long after we ordered. Surprisingly, the restaurant was not crowded during Sunday lunch. The restaurant is located in a small plaza with shared parking spots.
Everything was pretty good. We got the app sampler, bun Bo hue, and another dish. All were good! Barely any people on a Thursday evening so service was quick.

If you are wondering the difference between the 10 piece banh beo chenand the banh beo in the number 8 combo. There is a big difference. The Chen option is much thicker and can tell is freshly made. The combo banh beo you get 3x the amount but they are thinner and not as satisfying. You might not think 10 thicker ones will get you full but I promise it was a satisfying amount. I liked the banh nam I tried but didn't really care for the banh bot loc or the $1 nem chua. Parking- smaller sized lot but not too busy
There's plenty of parking in this strip mall so that was awesome. I hate fighting for parking. The inside of the restaurant is clean. Luckily for us, they weren't that busy but then again, we were there on a weekday. So there are so many viral videos going out about bánh ít ram and since I love mochi and anything with tapioca basically, I knew I had to try it. I also got to try the mì quảng which was very tasty and flavorful. Everything tasted made to order and oh so good. I would definitely recommend that you eat the bánh ít ram when it is fresh and warm and get plenty of fish sauce too to dip it in. I thought the prices were reasonable but we were also very full and had plenty of leftovers too since there were only two of us. I would definitely come back again, maybe with more people so we can share more and try more dishes. read more

More information on Bến Ngự on Garden Grove blvd. 1) This is what they put in their bún bò Huế $14. The beef sliced very thin and all crumbled, and very few pieces. 2) The boned in pork chunk was very thin as well. 3) They gave a small amount of noodles. I bought one bún bò Huế to go and very disappointed when I poured in a bowl to see what kind of crap they serve to me. It looked good in the bowl BUT when I separated everything... very HORRIBLE. The WORST restaurant in town. This is the HONEST truth... GOD is my witness. IM NOT COMING BACK HERE TO GIVE THEM MY BUSINESS ANYMORE EVER. read more
Back in town visiting my kids and came here for dinner. This place been here for 10 yrs and I didn't know. This place has there hue spicy noodles is good. Food here they have few items on menu but their specialty is hue spicy noodle. They have two size to choose, small or big bowl. Service here is ok. They're very nice and friendly. Ambience here, they have a lot of tables and chairs and you can come in a group as well. read more

This is my favorite spot in OC to grab Bun Bo Hue or just any Hue food! They're really consistent from the many visits I have come hy and dined. The service is pretty standard for a Vietnamese Restaurant. Just take your order, and if you need anything, just flag any of the staff down. When I go, it's usually not too busy, but they have the TVs on for the news and Vietnamese music playing in the background. read more
Ordered the Banh Ram It because we were in Orange county on our way to San Diego and were craving it. Saw an Instagram social media influencer talking about it and decided to check it out. So glad we did! Called ahead and guy said it would be ready to pick up in 30 minutes. We also ordered the Banh Beo and decided to try it too, because my son loves those from Banh Beo Tolan in San Jose. Oh my goodness, the Banh Ram It were HUGE! The only ones we've ever had were from Hue Restaurant in San Jose, and these were like twice that size. The only thing was, they were just a little too crunchy/hard on the bottom. Had they been cooked/fried a little less, it would've been 5 stars. But the inside was chewy and filled with savory shrimp and pork belly. Each was served with fish sauce and chili. Wow, Delicious though!! The banh beo was really good too, and I thought that because they didn't scatter dried shrimp between each layer, that there would be banh beo without any shrimp on it, but that was not the case. There was still enough dried shrimp that every banh beo got some! Very delicious! 4 orders of Banh Ram It and 2 orders of Banh Beo cost $88. Kids ate it so fast, totally forgot to take a picture of the Banh Beo! read more
One of my usual spot for BBH because my mom likes this place. The taste is a little bland for me. I love the veggies they give, very fresh and clean. The banh rang is good here but I hardly eat them. Banh Bot Loc and banh nam are good but the fish sauce isn't the best. The service is fast and the place is spacious. No problem with parking. I am ok with going here. They are on my top five choices for BBH at this moment. read more

1. I ordered a small Bun Bo Hue, and it was a generous portion! The coffee was strong but not too bitter! 2. The spot has fun casual vibes! Interior is big with good spacing with the arrangements! 3. There are only indoor seatings! There are a lot of tables! 4. The staff was friendly and timely with our order! The items came out in the following order: drinks, BBH, and then the Banh It Ram! 5. Parking is easily available! Spots are single-lined and not compact! Note: There is a restroom available for customers! Super solid spot for bun bo hue! The price is great for a very filling bowl ($12.90 for a large!). Restaurant is spacious with plenty of tables. Service is your typical Vietnamese restaurant but they bring everything out quickly and efficiently. The bun bo hue itself is very good! Clean broth with lots of toppings and veggies. We also ordered an iced Vietnamese coffee ($4 for 12 oz); strong flavor with a slight nuttiness to it. I think this is our new go-to place! read more
After watching all the YouTubers dining here and reading reviews about Ben Ngu, I decided to try it out today. :) Had the Mi Quang. It was actually very good. Generous portion of protein, which included pork, 3 large shrimps, and fish cake. The bowl was filled with a good amount of braised pork, chopped up into small pieces, perfectly seasoned and very tender and delicious. The shrimp and fish cake were also very tasty. I ordered the small size bowl and couldn't even finish it! I love it that they served it with a large plate of veggies and herbs on the side. Restaurant was clean and since it is far away from the hustle bustle of the Little Saigon, you can enjoy your meal quietly if that's what you'd prefer. Service was good. They had plenty of to go orders while I was there. Will be back again soon to try other dishes. They all look and sound yummy. read more

First time trying this place. Plenty of room. Menu is in English with detail descriptions. Yummy soy bean milk is just perfect. Wow the sauce on #16 is super tasty! The shrimp is cooked just right. Must order #5 it's their signature dish. I like it with chili oil n fish sauce. read more
Still my favorite place for Vietnamese central region food. Never have to wait and plenty of parking. Prices went up a little bit however still very reasonably compared to other restaurants in Westminster. See new updated menu attached. read more

Nice little mom and pop shop that serves a variety of Hue or Northern style dishes. Primarily they are know for their Bun Bo Hue. They have been around for quite a while. Food was delicious, this is one of the few places where they don't skimp out on protein and the banh beo plate was good as well, for the what we paid for, it was such a deal. Will definitely be back. read more

The foods came out very quick and friendly staffs. Reasonable price. I ordered Bun Bo Hue and the combo Banh Bèo, Bánh Nậm and Bánh bột Lọc Everything was delicious and some items were outstanding, there was plenty of seating. The restaurant remained comfortable even in the heat wave we are having. read more
