Quick food stop before getting back on the road. The fried chicken here had such a great crispness. Very moist and I love the accompanying sides of rice and picked veggies that come in the box. I wish the garlic flavor was a litter stronger as some bites lacked it. Got garlic noodles to-go and WOW! amazing buttery, garlic flavor, tasted really good reheated as well:)

This is how 50 pieces half and half is packaged. Excellent. Impressed at the size of the wings. (larger than normal)

Craving Mama's again only 15 days since my first try of the Garlic Shrimp. It's still amazing, but the SPICY is a bit too much for me and if you know me... I LOVE GARLIC. The breading on the spicy seemed thicker and not as appealing and the garlic sauce was way overkill. I had to peel off the breading this time and there was a lot of wasted sauce on the bottom of my to go container. Half the amount would have qualified IMO as "spicy"... Even though I'm a garlic LOVER, I prefer the regular over the spicy...

Step aside American and Korean-style wings, it's time to try Vietnamese-style wings! We went on a Sunday at around 1pm. Like the limited parking in the front, the shop was packed! It's a casual dining area with many occupied tables. We were lucky to snatch a table to sit after ordering at the register. Despite being busy, it didn't take too long for our number to be called. We ordered the box with half original garlic butter and half spicy garlic butter wings, which came with two generous scoops of rice. Both flavors had a Vietnamese-inspired dry rub where the spices really stood out. The wings were crispy on the outside and juicy and meaty in the inside. They were very garlicky, so be prepared. Both had a garlic butter base, but the spicy wings had a slightly different flavor with a nice kick that left a lingering tingle on your lips. We also ordered the garlic noodles, which felt more like a rich, cheesy pasta than traditional noodles. The thicker noodles were heavily coated and a bit heavy. The garlic flavor was strong and somewhat overpowering. The taste was decent, but the texture was not my favorite. Overall, it was a solid meal, and I would come back to try other flavors (fish sauce and salted egg yolk). I also saw someone eating the hot chicken sandwich and that looked delicious!

Spicy Garlic & Salted Egg Yolk- Preferred spicy garlic over the salted egg yolk. If you really like salted egg yolk then I would recommend it. Garlic noodles- One of the best garlic noodles. The cheese on top made the dish so good. It is heavy if you were to eat all of it.

This place deserves all the continued hype and business. Great spot to feed a crowd or be the talk of your next party. Fish sauce wings were hot & juicy and the unexpected star of the show were the truffle tater tots! Soooo delicious & fragrant. Can't wait to come back & order everything else!

This hype wing spot is in the heart of Little Saigon and it absolutely delivers. Mama Hieu is not playing around! These wings are PACKED with flavor to the point where you're eating down to the bone. No meat left behind. I ordered a box of the garlic butter wings, and it came stacked with two scoops of rice, sweet chili sauce, and pickled veggies. Let me just say that everything on that plate had a purpose. The wings were insanely juicy and tender, and had that garlicky goodness. You can tell they're using fresh minced garlic and tossing it with green onions because every bite had that bold, aromatic punch. And the skin???? It was Perfectly light and crispy. No sogginess here. I was literally scooping up every last bit of garlic and green onion and piling it onto my chicken and rice. It was that good. The sweet chili sauce had a thick, sticky texture with just the right balance of sweet and heat, and the pickled veggies added a refreshing crunch. The vibe is hip, the staff is friendly, and the whole experience feels like Vietnamese style hot wings done RIGHT. It 100% lives up to the hype. Only heads up, parking can be tough since it's right in the heart of Little Saigon, but trust me it's worth it. This place is bomb. Period.

Mama Hieu's is a small casual Vietnamese restaurant in Westminster. It's not a big restaurant and has seating for about 30 guests. They're known for their crispy chicken wings with Vietnamese flavor influences but have other offerings like noodles and sandwiches. We previously ordered party trays from here and loved the food so we wanted to come eat at the restaurant. We ordered the original garlic butter, spicy garlic butter, salted egg yolk, and fish glazed chicken wings. We also ordered the mama style fries ($8) and spicy garlic shrimp noodles ($15). Of the chicken wings flavors, my favorite was the spicy garlic butter. The wings were crispy and I liked that they were full-sized wings and not the tiny ones you might see elsewhere. The fries were on the sweeter side due to the mama sauce and I think it could've benefited from something spicy or sour like pickled jalapeños or pickled onions. Some meat might've been welcomed too. We loved the garlic noodles and its buttery-ness. Overall everything was great and had strong flavors. The prices were actually pretty reasonable and I can see why they have such long lines.

We get chicken wings for family events from here throughout the year and its worth the drive everytime! The service is friendly and the food is even friendlier with my taste buds. This is love at first bite type stuff. The vibe inside is cool and clean. Best $120 bucks ever spents for an order of 100 chicken wings.

I love small successful local businesses like mama hieus that does one thing perfectly: vietnamese style fried chicken, served with two scoops of rice and a side of pickles, in a paper carryout box. Simple and delicious. Perfect for a quick lunch. This is a cherished addition to the takeout rotation.

I ordered the House Box Salted egg yolk wings which comes with 7 wings and 2 scoops of rice. I ordered thru Uber Eats and was surprised how good it was. The wings were still warm and crispy. They were not dry and was marvelously well-seasoned with a slight spiciness. A slice of lime was included in the box but it is not needed unless you really like your wings tart. I was not sure what to expect with the salted egg yolk, but it did not disappoint! Each wing was sprinkled with just the right amount of salted egg yolk bits and not overpowering. The salted egg yolk is so good with everything I am surprised that they don't offer salted egg yolk tots on the menu! Don't let this place fly over your head! It's wing-credible!

Omg sooooo good! I got medium spice and it was definitely a kick with thai chili peppers. The balance of the fish sauce and sweet was perfect with the rice and mama sauce. I would totally recommend and come back! The staff was so nice and the food came out fast. I came around 12:30 which was perfect because it got super busy and swamped around 1pm for a saturday. Parking is rough though so prepare for that.

Wanted to update this review to a 5 star based on the customer service I received from Jimmy. Long story short, I ordered from wings wednesday and was largely disappointed when I received certain wings that left more to be desired. I'll just leave it at that. As I was scrolling late at night on IG, mama hieu's IG story caught my eye. I decided to leave a comment not expecting a reply as I know that brand store IG accounts rarely comment back. Much to my surprise, Jimmy understood my problem and aimed to make it right again. After explaining to the cashier, I was very happy with the resolution. Additionally I wanted to talk about the Andy's Special House Box and revise my review to 5 stars based on this new offering. Andy's Special flavor is reminiscent of Asian Weddings where one of the dishes include a lobster and noodle garlic, green onion (scallion) mix. It is quite delectable. Somehow, Mama Hieu's has incorporate this flavor into the chicken wings to create the most satisfying crunch as each wing is covered in this batter, drenched with this sauce. It is a shame that you can only get this through the house special but nonetheless, this flavor is very tasty even in the house box.

Finally got to try mama hieu's after hearing so much about it! I really liked the fish sauce wings and the pickled veggies. They were pretty busy so I recommend ordering on the phone or app. While the wings were good, they weren't anything super special in my opinion. But, the wing trays are a great deal if you're looking for something to bring to a potluck!

Is there an a la carte wing option?

    Minimum 5 wings though.

Best if you can order a couple days ahead of time, however I think 1 day in advance is ok. I'm answering from previous orders I've made. However, during Super Bowl they were taking orders a month ahead.

What the current methods of payments accepted @ the new 9090 Bolsa location?

Do your chicken wings have eggs in them?

Yes our product does contain eggs in them.

Can we eat in? Take out only?

Only take out, it's a phone order then set a time for pick up. It's homemade food made in her kitchen and there's no place to eat in.

I'm allergic to seed oils. What kind of oil do you use? Also is the chicken breaded at all?

We use canola frying oil. Our chicken in lightly breaded. It’s also gluten free

    Do they have delivery service?

Yes but a private one place an order on insta (dm them) and then schedule a delivery time :) or I think you could just call the number then place the order from there :)… Read more

This isn't just another bacon-egg-cheese wrap pretending to be special. They use tater tots instead of regular potatoes, so you get crispy + soft instead of mush. The sausage is the real twist, Vietnamese style, like bún chả pork: slightly sweet, savory, garlicky, lightly caramelized. Then the surprise: pickled veggies inside. That acidity cuts the richness and balances the whole burrito so it eats lighter than a typical gut-bomb breakfast burrito. It ends up tasting like a true Viet-American diner take on a SoCal classic, comforting but aromatic, familiar and sooo goood. Nice to finally have a worthy breakfast burrito option closer to home.
