Best part: no wait on a Sunday, but still many customers! Parking is not good, shocker (this city always has cramped parking). The food was significantly better when I was in high school. Now it's alright. I wish that they gave us water during our meal (we asked, but it remains one of life's mysteries). Had to ask at the register again when I was paying because my grandma was actually in need of water. She liked her food, so that's what matters at the end of the day. We always pay tip, but please don't do that again to any table. Family friendly restaurant.

Came to dinner with friends. I didn't think the food was as good as previous times. The meat was not cooked as asked. Did not finish my plate.

Ngon! I consider it to be one of the best places in OC for cơm tấm! Although the restaurant is known for its broken rice dishes, the menu also offers a wide range of other items like vermicelli items and soups. * Cơm Tấm Tàu Hủ Ky Bò Nướng Dồi: 9/10 - everything was freshly made and the portions were decently sized Be sure to bring cash because they don't accept cards or Apple Pay! The prices are a bit high, but the portions are a lot bigger than the other places I've been to. The interior is a bit small, but it is capable of fitting a decent number of tables and customers. The workers are always very nice, and the food comes out almost instantly. Everything is great except for the fact that they're located in Liberty Square Plaza, which is known for being very packed usually. One of our favorite places to eat at!

One of my top 3 places for Vietnamese rice and pork chop "LA/OC" Walking out very satisfied. Will be back again

One of my favorite Vietnamese pork chop n rice places to eat in Westminster. I'm from LA but there's nothing in LA that can compare to this place. Walked out satisfied on this visit

This restaurant used to have a line out the door when I was last here before the pandemic. It's still busy but luckily no lines this time when we visited on a weekend for lunch. We were seated and our orders were taken within minutes. They are known for their Com tam (broken rice) dishes so that's what we ordered. Funny enough our food took awhile to come out. Portions were large and my pork chop was delicious. Very flavorful and still moist. I was a little disappointed in the Tau hu ky (shrimp mousseline). It was a little plain and oily. The stream pork cake was ok.

This is a staple in my family. We keep coming back after trying so many meh broken rice places in Little Saigon. There's another popular spot where the wait is always 30+ min and the grilled pork rice plate isn't as good (way too sweet). The grilled pork here is seasoned perfectly. Not sure if they use honey or condensed milk, but the sweetness works really well with the rest of the seasoning. Always worth the 45 min drive from SGV. Service could be improved though.

Came in on a rainy Thursday for lunch, place was a pack house, luckily got seated right away and I ordered right there also. I ordered com tam thit nuong tau hu ky lap xuong. The food came out less than 5 minutes. All I can say is the com tam was pretty basic and decent , the tau hu ky wasn't good, not that much shrimp in it, the thit nuong had good flavor but I didn't really taste the char or grilled flavor. Nothing too special, the best thing was the nuoc mam/ fish sauce. Oh yeah they charge $1 for using credit card. Parking can be tough also. Overall 3/5 rating for me, nothing special that would make me come back, especially with so many other Com tam in Oc.

Second time trying this restaurant because everytime we go to the other com tam places there's a long wait. This one is also a full house but the wait isn't as bad. Taste wise the food is delicious. However the portions are tiny compared to other places. For $17, it's not worth it. Cashier is also pretty rude. We won't be back because there are so many others to try.

Nothing beats their pork chops, not even my mama's! Our family has been going here for years. It's a Bolsa staple and favorite with excellent food, quick and friendly service ...and now a more modernized restaurant. I love seeing people from every culture and background eat here too! Yummy for all to enjoy.

Don't you EVER let ANYONE tell you that Com Tam Thanh isn't the BEST com tam in California. I've been coming to Com Tam Thanh since I was a little boy. Nothing hits the same as Com Tam Thanh. I don't know what they put in their food, but I never get ngan. I will keep shoveling the rice in my mouth even if I am full. I can perfectly picture how each ingredient and topping taste in my mind. The scallion oil. The egg on top. The juicy grilled pork. Bi. Cha. Tau hu ky. The nuoc mam with just a hint of spice to it. The little crunchy bits of fried pork fat scattered throughout your plate. How every individual grain of rice feels on your tongue. It's perfect. I had it yesterday and the leftovers for lunch today and I STILL want to eat it again tomorrow.

this was my first time trying this place with loved ones. there is a tight parking lot that can become packed on the weekends. the customer service is quick and efficient. they work with tablets to take your order. the com tam plates were not very appealing to the eye. i thought my meat was a little oily and the soup was not too special. overall i thought it was a decent spot with average prices. the interior was modern and cozy.

I heard Thanh was the gold standard for com tam, so I was excited to finally have a chance to try it! I ordered the broken rice plate with BBQ pork, steampork cake, and fry bean curd. I also ordered egg rolls and a plate of cucumbers on the side. Everything was solid, though nothing stood out. My favorite dish was probably the egg rolls, but I think Golden Deli in SGV still wins. Service was fine in the beginning, but we were forgotten about, with 0 water refills or check ins, after we received our food. Price is very reasonable, and the portion sizes are good. I wouldn't go out of my way to come back.

Came for dinner and my family enjoyed our meals. My kid said his plate was "gas" so that says a lot. Service was good. With me being able to speak some Vietnamese. Im sure they could tell right of the bat I don't often. I had better fried shrimp cake wrapped tofu elsewhere but it still hit.

Yelp menu picture taken 4 months ago says sườn/thịt nướng, chả, tàu hủ ky $13.95 but Yelp order online says $15+. What's the price so I can bring enough cash?

I was just there today and paid $16.50. The restaurant does take credit card now.

    Do they accept card?

Also, I'm so hyped that the Cháo Sườn Quẩy is FINALLY back on the menu! It came out piping hot and is just as comforting as I remember. Bánh Ướt Đặc Biệt - $14.50 Steamed rice sheets topped with pork patties, fried tofu, and fresh vegetables, served with a house fish sauce. The sauce leaned light and slightly sweet, which may appeal to some but felt a bit mild overall. Bún Chả Hà Nội - $16.50 Rice vermicelli served with grilled pork, pork patties, fresh herbs, and house fish sauce. Similar to the other dish, the sauce was on the lighter side in terms of flavor. The protein portions also felt a bit small for the price. Service My party and I were greeted and seated promptly upon our arrival. A server brought menus and returned shortly after to take our order. However, they did not check-in throughout the dining experience. We arrived about 30 minutes before closing and the food came out quickly. Payment is processed at the register near the back by the kitchen. The standout for me was the flaming wagyu ($18), torched tableside. For how thick the cut was, it was incredibly tender and soft. Definitely go medium rare. The ponzu dipping sauce really enhances the richness of the beef. We also tried the shaken beef ($21), which came with plenty of caramelized onions and bell peppers that added a subtle sweetness. The beef was slightly charred, bite-sized, and super satisfying--especially with rice. The combo pho ($25) came loaded with a variety of meats, all tender and melt-in-your-mouth.
