Sorry I just yelp about this place while we come eat here since I came to US on 2001. The quality of food, the quantity of food and their service say it all why they still at business after few decades. Nothing I find can beat their com tam on south, central and north California!!! This is the OG spot that i've been going to since i was young. You know its legit because this place still serves the pork chop rice with the little fried pieces of fat (most places nowadays don't include it). Definitely recommend it. One of the best com tam places in Westminster. Their soybean milk is good, too. Take cash and credit card as payment. Good amount of seating, and if you have to wait, it wouldn't be too long of a wait. Parking lot can get crowded but not impossible to find a spot. read more

3.5 stars After two failed attempts for lunch at pho eateries (lines were insane), we stumbled upon Com Tam Thanh. We came a little before 11:30am to beat the lunch rush - the restaurant was already filled at capacity so we wrote our names down. Luckily, we were the next party and seated in less than 10 minutes. Ordered #23 Com Tam Thit Nuong Cha ($11.95) & #13 Com Tam Tau Hu Ky Thit Nuong ($13.50). The plates seemed a bit deceiving as it was quite large but portion sizes were just okay - each plate comes with a side of pickled vegetables, bowl of soup, and nuoc mam (fish sauce) with fresh chili paste already included. I liked the grilled bbq beef (thit nuong) on our plates and the steamed egg (cha) that I had ordered, but wasn't much a fan of the tofu skin (tau hu ky) as the skin was almost overly crispy and tough. Not the best com tam but will do the job. We had two people in our party share a plate since they were not that hungry and the waitress taking our order seemed very unhappy which was quite unprofessional as she didn't hide her annoyance. My husband thought adding chili oil/sate saved it a little. Portion was decent for the price. - The com tam and the soup was great. Meat was marinated well, not to sweet or salty. Fried shrimp paste in tofu skin was delicious. Pickled vegetables was decent and rice was cooked well. However, the fish sauce was terrible in my opinion and ruined the meal. I'm used to all kinds of fish sauce, strong, weak, sweet, fishy, but this fish sauce sadly tasted like chemicals. Skimped out on the meat, so it was pricy for the portion. This is my second time trying the same com tam dish. The first time I was hoping they just made a bad batch of fish sauce but after trying it again, sadly this is just how they make their fish sauce.
