Since we had already looked at the menu beforehand, we knew what we wanted and placed our order pretty quickly. For the first round, they provide a list of items you can choose from. My husband and I both ordered vermicelli bowls, and we each decided to try an order of all the proteins available. Our food took a little longer than expected to come out, but it was also a busy dinner hour, so it was understandable. When the food finally arrived, we were surprised by how much was served in the first round--the portions were huge! We started getting full pretty quickly. If we came back, I think we would do it a little differently. We'd probably order one vermicelli bowl to share and then order more proteins to really get our money's worth--or even just split a single meal. Sooooooo glad that I decided to get a plate of Com Tam today. I got the #33 Combo which has Tofu skin wrapped Shrimp, Pork Chop, Shredded Pork Skin and Steamed Egg Loaf. This is what I usually get with Broken Rice plates. I did not expect this to be one of the best places I've ever been to. I was just blown away by their flavors. Even the Nuoc Cham (fish sauce) was amazing. It's definitely on the spicy side and not overly sweet like most other places. They also include some pickled cabbage which is an excellent palate cleanser. Lastly they give a great clear soup garnished with some fresh green onions. They give you a chance to order a second round. The portions are incredibly generous. When the platters of meat started coming out, we were honestly shocked at how much food there was and wondered if we could finish it all! The restaurant is pretty small inside, bit many tables, but the service was good. They came by a lot to ask if we needed more meat. The bo was a bit more dry. However, it was delicious and had a nice char taste to both. There was a good amount of bi in the dish itself. The cha was decent, nothing too special. The tau hu ky was very delicious. It was STUFFED with shrimp in the middle, compared to other places have a lot of air pockets in the middle. The broth that accompany it was better than I thought because it looked clear so I was skeptic. Overall, I love this place and I would come back again. From the bright and clean interior to the friendly staff it just adds to the amazing rice dishes they serve here. That's if you're in the mood for rice, if not they have a variety of cold vermicelli dishes to suit your palette. I think this place is probably better for the AYCE option that I saw a handful of people eat while I was there. I was initially hooked on this spot after a family member introduced me to it. For a while, I came alone and was consistently treated like a king. The food is phenomenal; huge portions of delicious, comforting, home-style cooking. My usual order is the massive rice plate: grilled beef ribs, chicken, fried shrimp cake, mixed veggies, and a side of soup. It's a huge plate, and I always loved it! Everything changed when I came in for a simple to-go order. I ordered at the counter, and the cashier (who spoke a little English, assisted by his manager) took my order. Out of habit, I sat at my favorite table to wait. That's when a staff member told me to move to the designated waiting area. I was surprised she didn't recognize me as a frequent diner she had personally served at that very table. Then, after she brought my order to the new table, she demanded to see my receipt. I showed her, and she proceeded to give me a dirty look before walking to the cashier to confirm I had actually paid and was the correct person. This level of suspicion and disrespect from someone who should know me is appalling customer service. The food earns 5 stars, but the service disaster brings my overall rating down to 2 stars. I stopped coming here immediately and am now looking for a new Cơm Tấm spot. read more

They have a small piece of paper for their AYCE that you order from that gives you two rounds to eat. They raised the prices from last time I went ($20 to $25 for their first option and $25 to $35 for their second option) so heed that if you expect the original prices but I think it's still a great deal. Food: 5/5 So, this place is known for their broken rice plates and I actually came here right before they started doing AYCE com tam. The rice plates were some of my favorite out of the OC area. The rice was really good and the meat had a great char to it, nice and smoky from the back where they cooked it. When they started doing AYCE, I took the chance to try out some of their other meats. The sausage is AMAZING as it is nice and crisp with a good bite, the beef is charred well and cooked with a good marinade, and the porkchop was nice and fatty with lots of flavor. I usually do the first round with a vermicelli and the second round with a broken rice because I need to get my veggies in but their vermicelli and veggies is AMAZING. They put a lot of basil and mint in the vermicelli bowl along with lettuce, pickled daikon and carrot, and bean sprouts. It help cut away a lot of the greasy meat and refresh the palate. Overall: 4/5 I've been coming to this place for nearly a year but I have no real issues with it. My son recommended this place cause he loves broken rice. The didn't noticed it until I decided to give to a try. I walked in a greeted by the only male server he's very friendly. He asked if it's our first time and he showed us how to use the tablet to order. I like that so we don't feel rushed. Went here yesterday I will not lie when I saw the Ayce I was a little skeptical about the idea that it was only two rounds from the paper I went with a party of four and thought the pork chops would be the small American size at the grocery store but boy I was wrong. Not only did the food taste great I remember someone else writing that the chili alittle goes along way and they were not wrong if you are sensitive to spice but very little or non at all. The service was the only downfall of this experience it was very hard to get a server before ordering the food. And if you do go with a big party make sure to right the numbers in the box not check it off that was the mistake that I made.
