I rarely ever give 5 star reviews, but this place definitely deserved it. Everything was perfect! My friend and I came for lunch here on a Sunday at noon. Plenty of parking right out front, convenient location in a great plaza on the corner of Brookhurst/McFadden, Little Saigon area with so much going on. Ambiance is beautiful inside, spacious, plenty of seating, and restrooms were really nice and clean too. We ordered the Garlic Lobster Noodles & Waygu Steak with Mushroom Sauce. Food was absolutely delcious. Portion sizing was perfect with respect to pricing, reasonable since those two dishes for two were really filling and just enough that we wouldn't have to take any to-go. Overall dining experince was really enjoyable. Service was good too, I spoke Vietnamese to them (Southern region accent). I would highly recommend this place and would definitely come back! read more

I came to Petit Corner Saigon at least 4 times to dine inside the restaurant. Other times to buy the yummy mien xao tom cua to go...bean curd noodles with shrimp & crab and just to by my favorite cafe phindi hanh nhan...VN almond coffee drink. Besides the mien xao, the goi xoai & muc...mango squid salad, fried shrimp & crab eggrolls accompanied w/veggies, vermicelli, VN fish sauce were a big hit with my relatives. My husband enjoyed the bo kho w/banh mi... VN beef stew with baguette. As for the service, the staff and owner are so friendly & alert to our needs that make the ambience of this cute restaurant more comfortable. As u can see, the food & service is so good so that's why I keep coming back. read more

It comes loaded with juicy marinated beef, a perfectly runny sunny-side-up egg, and rich pâté--all sizzling away in garlicky, buttery pan juices. But the real star of the show? You can add their salted egg sauce on top, and it is ridiculously good paired with all those savory, rich flavors. I always try to support new spots around my area so I came here to check it out. We ordered the Wagyu Steak with salted egg sauce $22, Mi Lobster Xao Toi garlic lobster noodles $26. Che Thai $8 and Che Thap Cam Com Ngoc $7.50 Food was pretty good overall. Nothing too special but everything had decent flavor. The wagyu steak was actually really good , soft, tender, and the salted egg sauce made it taste richer. I also liked the Che Thai, it was refreshing and not too sweet. The lobster noodles tasted fine but it was a bit oily for me. If it was lighter, it would be better. Service was kinda messy when I went, but not a big deal. Parking was easy, lots of space when I got there. Overall, pretty solid place. I'd come back and try other dishes. read more

We tried this place after seeing it featured on the Little Saigon Instagram page. We love bò né, especially from Sip Cafe, so we were excited to try somewhere new. Unfortunately, the food here was pretty underwhelming. I'll start with what they did well. The restaurant is clean, aesthetically pleasing, and has a nice atmosphere with light jazz playing in the background. The salad they brought out tasted fresh, and the bread that came with the Wagyu dish was decent. We ordered the bò Wagyu sốt tiêu đen and cơm gà xối mỡ. The Wagyu dish was the biggest disappointment. It was surprisingly bland while also being very greasy. For the price, I expected either much better flavor, better quality, or at least a more generous portion. Unfortunately, it didn't really deliver on any of those. The cơm gà xối mỡ was better, but still nothing memorable. The chicken and rice were both decent, but one of the pickled vegetables tasted extremely sour in a way that made me wonder if it had spoiled, so I stopped eating it. At $17, the dish also felt overpriced for what you get. You can get a very similar meal, and honestly one I think tastes just as good or better at the "$1.99" restaurant for considerably less. Overall, you're paying a premium for the ambience rather than the food. The restaurant itself is clean and attractive, but based on the two dishes we tried, the quality and flavor just didn't justify the prices. Maybe other dishes are better, but based on this first visit, I don't think we'd come back. read more

The foods was good. I would order to-go rather than being there. The service wasn't so good, I'm not sure if she was the owner. She was wearing a dress with an apron. She rushed us to order, she only had a post it to take orders. We order two appetizers first and then some entrees after. Tell me why half of the entrees came after the appetizer and one of the appetizer never show. We thought it was never put in, but in the end they charged us. One of the entree came late, we asked about it, she told us because we ordered a little later and they have a lot of orders ahead. I really think they forgot it just like the appetizer. They should just admit they messed up. Even asking for a follow up on an order felt like an inconvenience to them, they took awhile to come to update us. Honestly, two stars are just for the foods. Updated review: Came on opening day (third visit) and soon realized I shouldn't have . The place was noisy, chaotic and full of confusion. We wanted to try hot pots but none of them was available so we ordered Pho sườn bò, miếng xào lòng gà, mực xốt me and drinks. The pho came out quickly but not very hot. I would not order this again because it was decent but not worth $17. I was afraid the orders might take longer to come out but we had to finish the pho because it got cold. Lo and behold while sitting there watching the waiters bringing food to the wrong tables and other dinners got their food ready when they just came I decided we should just go somewhere else. The cashier lady was so lost it created a line: it seemed most of the bills did not match any table. It's a shame they were not prepared for this because some people would not come back after experiencing this disaster. First time coming here for breakfast and food, ambiance was awesome. We got the Bo Ne (sizzling Wagyu beef) with egg yolk sauce, chicken cartilage Hong Kong style, and almond coffee. The beef is so tender and juicy. Chicken cartilage is crispy and full of flavor. Our most favorite is the coffee, it tastes so great with coffee jelly and they put it in a can, which is a really nice touch. The restaurant is clean, well decorated with lots of parking. When we asked what the difference was between the Bo Wagyu Dac Biec and the Bo Wagyu with Mushroom Sauce, her response was simply, "one is creamier than the other," which was not helpful at all. When the food came out, both dishes literally looked exactly the same--no noticeable difference whatsoever. On top of that, I don't appreciate them calling it "Wagyu" when it's clearly just regular meat. To make things worse, we asked for extra plates and they were brought out dirty. Foods had been brought to a wrong table. Went here with my wife as we wanted to compare the banh mi chao/bo ne to our other favorite spot, SIP. I ordered the bo wagyu sot trung muoi and my wife got the bo wagyu sot tieu den. We both liked it better than SIP as there was more sauce and the sauce had more flavor. The beef was a lot more tender here than SIP too. My only criticism was the sauces on both dishes were a little too salty, but it is only a small criticism. Service was pretty good and the food came out much quicker than SIP. All in all a great place to eat if you like banh mi chao/bo ne. Would recommend. read more
