Got to try their salted egg yolk bo ne and it was very flavorful. The meat was tender and it was a solid portion. The bread was super fresh and came out piping hot. I also really enjoyed their duck noodles, tender and the herbal soup that it came with was great.

Amazing food on Saturday morning beautiful decorations Big portions that's why their food a bit expensive

I always try to support new spots around my area so I came here to check it out. We ordered the Wagyu Steak with salted egg sauce $22, Mi Lobster Xao Toi garlic lobster noodles $26. Che Thai $8 and Che Thap Cam Com Ngoc $7.50 Food was pretty good overall. Nothing too special but everything had decent flavor. The wagyu steak was actually really good , soft, tender, and the salted egg sauce made it taste richer. I also liked the Che Thai, it was refreshing and not too sweet. The lobster noodles tasted fine but it was a bit oily for me. If it was lighter, it would be better. Service was kinda messy when I went, but not a big deal. Parking was easy, lots of space when I got there. Overall, pretty solid place. I'd come back and try other dishes.

The foods was good. I would order to-go rather than being there. The service wasn't so good, I'm not sure if she was the owner. She was wearing a dress with an apron. She rushed us to order, she only had a post it to take orders. We order two appetizers first and then some entrees after. Tell me why half of the entrees came after the appetizer and one of the appetizer never show. We thought it was never put in, but in the end they charged us. One of the entree came late, we asked about it, she told us because we ordered a little later and they have a lot of orders ahead. I really think they forgot it just like the appetizer. They should just admit they messed up. Even asking for a follow up on an order felt like an inconvenience to them, they took awhile to come to update us. Honestly, two stars are just for the foods. Oh and the chopsticks were dirty, still have foods stuck it.

Petit Saigon Corner. Located same parking lot as Kei Coffee. Walked in. Got help immediately. Plenty of staff. They were all nice Bo ne is what we came for. Waygu beef. Eggs. Pate. Special sauce. On a sizzling skillet. Bread was very good. My eggs got over cooked. Everything was just ok. To me. And big let down. No butter to eat with bread. How can you serve breakfast with bread but don't have butter ! Chicken curry was actually very good. Flavor was on point. Yams and potatoes cooked well but honestly this dish needed to be hotter. Just wasn't warm enough. Overall decent good. Tighten up the little things and it will be a 4 star

Food was delicious and the price was really good. Interior design is elegant and tasteful. The choice of smooth jazz music made the experience even better. Service was also top notch. The servers were very polite and attentive. New favorite place for Viet food! Try the Viet coffee it's delicious!

Updated review: Came on opening day (third visit) and soon realized I shouldn't have . The place was noisy, chaotic and full of confusion. We wanted to try hot pots but none of them was available so we ordered Pho sườn bò, miếng xào lòng gà, mực xốt me and drinks. The pho came out quickly but not very hot. I would not order this again because it was decent but not worth $17. I was afraid the orders might take longer to come out but we had to finish the pho because it got cold. Lo and behold while sitting there watching the waiters bringing food to the wrong tables and other dinners got their food ready when they just came I decided we should just go somewhere else. The cashier lady was so lost it created a line: it seemed most of the bills did not match any table. It's a shame they were not prepared for this because some people would not come back after experiencing this disaster. I would come back though to try other dishes but only when they're not busy.

The food was delicious and full of flavor! The duck noodle soup (Mì Vịt Tiềm) was especially good--the broth was rich and flavorful, the duck was tender, and the noodles had a great texture. I also tried the Vietnamese iced coffee with condensed milk (Cà Phê Sữa), and it was smooth, creamy, and perfectly balanced. Great food, generous portions, and authentic Vietnamese flavors. Definitely a place I would come back to and recommend to friends!

I hate writing bad reviews, but I wasn't very impressed with this place. The flavor was good, and the French bread tasted fresh with a nice sizzling touch--that was definitely a highlight. However, the portions felt small for the price, like we're living in an inflation world. I also didn't like the ordering experience--I pointed to exactly what I wanted (which they had pictures on Yelp), but the waitress kept questioning me and trying to steer me toward something else. It felt like an unnecessary switch-up, and I know what I like. If you're craving bánh mì chảo wagyu, I'd recommend Nep Cafe instead--they set the standard. This spot has potential, but missed the mark for me.

The chicken was crispy and the dipping sauce gave it that extra yummy goodness. The dish also came with a side of broth that had chicken bits in it, was nice to help digest your dish. I also loved that they gave you pickled veggies & fresh veggies. We also ordered the Loi's Fusion Saltado, upgraded the rice to garlic egg fried rice. The beef was soft and tender, the fries were nice and crispy and the fried rice was fresh. You 100% need to get the Thai Tea. A lot of place add too much cream/half and half diluting the tea flavor, they do not skimp on the actual tea in their drink. The color speaks for itself on the dark orange hue!

I'm a bit late getting around to writing this, and unfortunately, they are already closed, but I still felt like I had to share my experience. I'm not completely surprised that they closed, especially after trying their bò né. I've had this dish many times at different places around Orange County, and unfortunately, this was probably the weakest version I've come across. The first thing that stood out was the presentation. As you can see in the picture, there was this purple-colored sauce on the meat itself, which honestly did not look very appetizing. To make things worse, the sauce was cold and did not heat in time with the skillet, which really took away from the experience. The flavor itself wasn't terrible, but it also wasn't anything memorable. It was just okay, and when you factor in the cold food and the presentation, it made the whole dish disappointing. With so many places around Orange County serving bò né at a much higher level, I would probably recommend spending your money elsewhere. If you were wondering whether you missed out on some hidden gem, don't worry, you didn't. This one felt more like a piece of coal than a diamond. That being said, every restaurant has its journey, and with more time, maybe they could have found their footing. Hopefully, they can take this experience as a lesson, refine their recipes, and bring something better in their next venture. I am rooting for you Loi!

Be prepared: this place is incredibly popular, especially during peak hours. Parking can definitely be challenging because of how busy it is. The last time I visited on a Monday, the lot was completely full, and I ended up parking on the street. The restaurant is also primarily cash only, so come prepared. They open early, making it a perfect breakfast spot for an early bowl of pho. The pho broth is exactly what I want when I'm craving comfort food--clean, flavorful, and incredibly soothing. However, the star of the meal for me was the chả giò. Wow. Although they arrived after our pho, they came out at the perfect temperature. I was hesitant to take a bite right away because freshly fried food usually burns my mouth, but these were just right. Crispy, airy, savory, and absolutely delicious. Paired with their fish sauce, it was perfection. I enjoyed the egg rolls so much that next time I'm definitely ordering the egg roll vermicelli bowl. Service was friendly and prompt despite how busy it was, and it's clear the staff works hard to keep things moving. One thing I love is seeing all of the awards and accolades displayed on the walls. Phở 79 received the prestigious James Beard America's Classics Award, and it's easy to understand why after one meal here. This restaurant is truly an Orange County icon. The restaurant will soon be moving to a new location, as signs throughout the restaurant announce the upcoming move. While I'll miss the original spot, I'm excited for the new space--hopefully with more parking! Some places are worth the wait, and Phở 79 is absolutely one of them.
