I ordered an Expresso Milk Tea.. the flavor was bland. I myself wouldn't come back for this specific drink. Strawberry Jasmine was a okay drink. It's nice they use organic milk.

This Boba Guys is a small, rustic store located in The CAMP, so be warned: parking is a mess. Theres valet, but I know people don't usually like dropping an addition $6. Ordering is straight forward, it's just a self-serve kiosk. I know there's a counter up front, but this place is more of a quick grab and go kind of spot. Any time I've interacted with the employees to grab my drink, they're friendly and courteous without fail. I'm a fan of their Strawberry Jasmine Fruit Fresca with chia seeds and the Strawberry Fields drinks. I haven't tried their other toppings, but you can't go wrong with boba. I know Boba Guys helped put Strawberry Matcha on the map stateside so maybe I'll give that a try for my next visit.

You'll find Boba Guys at the Camp in Costa Mesa, basically an adult playground full of cool spots. Boba Guys may be the coolest if their anteater logo has any say in it. I was shocked at how good their drinks were. The pretty pink strawberry jasmine may be my new favorite thing. It had just the right blend of strawberries and Jasmine Green Tea for a not-too-sugary but incredibly flavorful caffeine-fueled tea. I was going to order the Shaken Cold Brew but it's actually no longer on the menu (website needs updating) so had their new Asian Iced Americano instead. I was jolted by the deliciousness of this coffee - stunningly delicious. Legit astonishingly delightful drinks that I will undoubtedly be back for again soon.

Cute little boba place at The Camp.

This is a cute little Boba place inside the shopping center called The Camp. The vibes are excellent. I had the black sugar Hojicha with Boba. It was the perfect blend of bitter and sweet. Sweetness did not overpower the hojicha. The Boba serving was generous. There are plenty of places to sit.

This Boba Guys is my preferred store and located in The Camp. Parking here is not very convenient but to me, it's better than their Long Beach store (at 2nd & PCH). We like their Strawberry Matcha (w/ boba of course). Customer service is always friendly. Kai was very helpful and super nice.

Love Boba Guys. This location is at the camp in Costa Mesa. A little bit harder to get to on the weekends when the parking lot is packed. Self ordering kiosk. You get a text when your order is ready. They carry my favorite Foodologie ube brownies and cookies! Must have. My favorite is the strawberry matcha latte and the lychee oolong tea. The Korean banana milk and Hong Kong milk tea are also good. Drinks are out pretty quickly. They're made well.

Finally checked out Boba Guys. I ordered the strawberry matcha latte with almond milk. It's perfectly creamy, though I'd say the sweetness is on the higher side for me, with the matcha flavor being more subtle/mild. The staff was friendly and the service was quick. This will absolutely be my go-to spot when I'm craving a strawberry matcha in the area.

Boba Guys: 8/10 Aesthetic & Ambiance: 8/10 - Cute spot tucked on the corner in The Camp. Nice open seating, for just a couple of tables. Not too many people there staying to hang around lunch, but just a another grab-and-go like myself. Service: 8.5/10 - Service was quick only took a few mins to get everything and go, also the individual taking the order was helpful in guiding flavors and patient with the changing drinks. Strawberry Matcha Latte: 8/10 - I can see why a lot of people like this one, it was delicious with a nice sweet but earthy taste. Dirty Banana Milk: 8/10 - This one was delicious. A bit more banana forward than I anticipated, but it was great, and the "dirty" gave it a nice balance.

Boba Guys in Costa Mesa is such a fun stop for high-quality bubble tea and cozy vibes. Located at The CAMP, it has a trendy atmosphere, easy ordering, and great outdoor seating. I tried their Matcha Latte, made with premium-grade matcha from Tea People layered over milk and sweetener and it was SO good. Perfect balance and just the right caffeine boost.

HANDS DOWN, my fav boba joint in OC!!! I fell in love with Boba Guys when I first tried it in SF, so when I heard that they were finally expanding down to SoCal, my foodie heart legit jumped for joy..I almost cried happy tears. My SF besties got me hooked on the strawberry fruit fresca with almond jelly. I love both strawberries & jasmine green tea, so this was a perfect marriage combo. Add in the almond jelly and I'm in foodie heaven. The drink is not sweet at all, so no sugar level adjustment needed. I do request for light ice, so that I can get more tea for my buck. You can truly taste the fresh strawberry puree that they use and the good quality of tea. Their boba is perfectly soft and chewy. Ugh, now I'm legit craving one, as I'm writing this review. Definitely always my go-to refreshing drink when I'm in the Costa Mesa area. Even my hubs loves this drink here and he's not a huge boba drinker..so it says a lot when he asks if I wanna stop by Boba Guys. The store is located in The CAMP. Parking can be a bit crowded during peak lunch/dinner times, so beware & plan accordingly. The boba store is located it a quant corner of The CAMP and it's lobby/sitting area is decorated with cute Instagramable hanging egg chairs and out-doorsy decor & trademark anteater logo. GO TRY THIS PLACE, if you haven't already!!!

Black Sugar Hojicha Latte and Terranga Matcha Cloud

Tried this spot on a Saturday afternoon for a quick pick me up drink. Ordered Black Sugar Hojicha Latte and Terranga Matcha Cloud and they're both pretty good but I liked the Hojicha better. Their boba is what amazed me. You can tell they use good quality of Boba in their drinks. The drinks came out fast as well and I liked how chic the interior of their shop looked.

I lived in the Bay Area for 7 years, yet never visited Boba Guys in the Mission due to the constant line out the door. I guess they've since expanded a lot through California because when I visited this Boba Guys location, I was greeted without a single other patron in the store. This one seems to be a more casual store, with only kiosk ordering and a couple of tables in an open air setting. Tie Guan Yin Oolong, 24 Oz Iced, Half + Half, House Syrup, 50% Sweet, Less Ice w/ Boba ($7.30) - Starting with the tea - the TGY is nicely fragrant, not the strongest of tea flavors, but better than a lot of boba shops. The sweetness isn't harsh at all and instead blends with the half and half and tea to create a very nice sip. It's just a well balanced drink without any particular weak spots. The boba is excellent in terms of flavor, clearly soaked in syrup for an extraordinary amount of time, making the exterior soft and velvety and giving great sweetness and flavor. Unfortunately the texture is a bit lacking. The pearls are too firm with rough interiors that exhibit a bit of a bite. The bounce is less than ideal due to the firmness. Milk Tea Rating: 4.5/5 Boba Rating: 4/5 Hmm... I can't say that this is exactly the transcendent experience that all my friends, who were more patient than me, boasted about back when the first Boba Guys opened up. As it stands, this shop does serve good drinks, but with all the competition around nowadays, is it still the best?

    Brian L.

I feel like Boba Guys as a brand has been on a sliding slope down since its heyday as one of the original more premium boba options, and admittedly now that everything is premium these days, they've sort of lost the differentiating factor. To be fair, their prices were always a lot, but compared to everything else, they're amusingly right in the middle now. They've always been known for their unique flavors and great tasting boba, but I found none of that in my most recent visit, where the drink tasted watery and the boba was fine but nothing special. I'll give their classics like the strawberry, banana, and horchata a try before calling it quits, but the Hong Kong milk tea, which was special to get outside of a cha chaan teng, was a real disappointment. TIP: Go somewhere else for boba and not deal with the parking situation at The Camp.

Even as the ice melted, it still tasted great, which is rare. The Torrance location was just as good! Parking was easier, the space is bigger, and the service was still super friendly and fast. My husband got the cold brew "Nook way" and finished it in like 10 minutes. He said it tasted like Golden Grahams cereal. Highly recommend both locations and especially the Spanish latte.
