Delicious flavors!
K A.

These are the freshest macrons! They offer many flavors, including unique flavors taro, durian, peppermint, green tea, rose petal,pumpkin.... My favorites are coconut, chocolate, raspberry, espresso, but I love so many it's not easy to choose! I like to order the 42 piece box. They lay them flat and look so delicious, they're are a big hit at parties. I love to indulge in a 6 piece box for myself! You can buy them in advance and keep them refrigerated. They are a distributor to retailers so they are fresh! The have hours that open around noon, but call or check for special hours near holidays. I often order in advance for a later pick up. Grab a bite to eat at their family restaurant next door, they have the best garlic noodles! Located next to Cost Less store in Home Depot strip mall.

Was craving Macaroons and saw this location has them. Called the place and the owner pickup and took the order. Picked up the order next door and went home. These macaroons are a bit bigger than the one you would see at lettle. The ones I got were vanilla bean and sea salt caramel both were delicious. Sweet creamy middle and soft flaky crackers cover it Will come back when I have more craving or would want to share withe friends and family.

Delicious macarons! (5 out of 5)

The macarons here are amazing and prices are really affordable. I'm used to paying at least $2 per macaron but at XT Patisserie, it's only $10 for a box of 6! There are lots of flavors to choose from and trust me you can't go wrong with any of them. My personal favorites are passionfruit and taro. I saw that they have durian too, and I can't wait to try that next time. I chatted with the chef a bit and found out he's classically trained in France so you know this place is legit!

I got a dozen since I was nearby and wanted to try this place. Right now they have 25% off if you check in on yelp. A dozen is $19 but I got it for $14.25 ($15.46 w/ tax) They have a lot of choices to choose from: I got durian, 2 earl greys, 2 pistachios, rose, passionfruit, sea salt caramel, eggnog, raspberry, and coffee. My favorites were the rose and raspberry. The sea salt had an aftertaste that was weird. The durian really tasted like durian but it wasn't overwhelming, just don't smell it alot. They had some other flavors like peppermint and eggnog for the holidays, lemon, green tea, chocolate, taro, and vanilla with others too. They also have ice cream macaroons ($2.75) too. Plus they give a free sample of macaroon of your choice. The owner was nice and the place is clean. It's near Home Depot and Arco near the CVS distribution center off Lambert.

Had the following and they were all very good. Sea Salt Caramel Calamansi - it's a tiny citrus fruit Coffee Chocolate Strawberry Peppermint If I had to pick my top two, it would be peppermint and calamansi. $1 Off with your Yelp check in but I found that out AFTER I paid so the gentleman gave me a freebie instead. Very nice of him. XT is part of a large center with tons of available free parking.

GREAT bang for your buck place to get french macarons, or as I like to call it, little sugar hamburgers. We found this place at the very tail end of a strip mall parking lot. No clue what XT stands for but Patisserie peaked our interest enough to walk in. They lured us in all right, I was hooked immediately when I saw macarons for a fantastic price. I'm super picky about my french macarons. They have to be the right consistency and texture or else they are on my blacklist. Luckily, XT does their job right. The macarons we tried were all perfect. Flavors were great, perfect chewiness, and to top it all off, they have macaron ice cream sandwiches, the way to my heart. It seemed like the owners were the ones running the shop. They were very friendly. The place is small, but neat, clean, and not busy. The prices are well worth the pit stop when you're driving by.

M If you haven't been here - and the business hours are not usual as they are a little restrictive - but it's definitely worth it! This amazing grub-producer is housed a few yards to the east of Home Depot - off Lambert & Harbor - and next door to The Burrito Brothers. FIND IT!! TRUST ME ON THIS AS YOU DO WITH SO MANY OTHER YELPS! The place is small - I mean SMALL - and slightly hidden, but steer towards the gas station and look just behind it, next to the Chinese Food Spot. It's very clean. The owner was very nice. The Macarons look top notch and taste it as well!! Bring someone with you and chill on the patio. Or grab them up and meet some friends and share them!! Whatever you decide...COME CHECK THIS OUT!! Tell the owner Chef Will sent you!! Thanks for following me. And if you don't...WHY!? HELLO!! Get your grub on folks!! This I small place but they have so many great options! Looks like it's a family owned shop too! I was treated right away by the cashier who helped me pick out my macaroons. And like I said before, there are MANY MANY options! He helped me by telling me some of the best sellers! The place was not busy. I was the only one in there, but there are places to sit inside. I was referred to this place by my friend and was completely satisfied! I didn't finish my macaroons and placed them in the fridge and they were still fresh they next day.

Delicious macarons. The best by far!!! I have been going there for past 2 years for the same flavors. They are all delicious but my favorite is pistachio. The owner is very nice and friendly. The employees are good, except the language barrier, so you have to be patient.

The Great SoCal Macaron Throwdown Continues! In case you missed this: http://www.yelp.com/list/the-great-socal-macaron-throwdown-los-angeles Having tried macarons from the infamous Ladurée Paris side-by-side with 'Lette, I can confirm 'Lette defers to Ladurée in my head to head taste test. http://www.yelp.com/biz/laduree-paris-2?q=Roland I was compelled to write this review for XT Patisserie as part of "The Throwdown" because of JULIE L's review. Her review claims XT's superiority over 'Lette Macarons of Beverly Hills. She and I also had an exchange in which she claimed that XT supplies Pacific Bakery macarons. I have tried Pacific Bakery's macarons and I can truly claim that THEY ARE NO WHERE AS GOOD AS 'LETTE! For the record, I called Pacific this morning and asked if they make their macarons. The sweet mature lady told me over the phone that they baked them there twice a week and they did so this morning! =/ Furthermore, I have tried XT Patisserie's macarons, and they do not beat 'Lette either. They are actually a hair behind DoLy's Delectables. http://www.yelp.com/biz/dolys-delectables-long-beach#hrid:WuqoxY2eAJCzOe9-Znc6bQ I'm not going to claim that I am the "Be all...End all" authority on macarons but if you've been following me, you'll know that I've been pounding the macarons like it's nobody's business! Yes, I've spend over $125 on macarons the last 4 weeks and ATE EACH AND EVERY ONE! But a claim that XT is greater than 'Lette...now, those are fightin' words! Yesterday, I had the privilege of testing XT macarons by way of Essential Chocolate Desserts in Culver City. Flavors tested were Pistachio and Raspberry. What I liked about XT's macarons is that between my fingers, they feel similar to 'Lette. They also have a shell pretty close to 'Lette's shell. XT's pistachio macaron flavor is very good, but I found the filling to be pasty. Raspberry tasted and looked like jam and does not taste nearly as good as 'Lette's ganache. XT's raspberry filling was too sweet and tasted artificial, compared to 'Lette's which tastes like you are eating an actual raspberry! XT's cookie was not as moist as 'Lette. Here's a picture of two raspberry macarons, 'Lette is on the left & Ladurée on the right. Please notice the deep color and moistness of both cookies! http://www.yelp.com/biz_photos/KnYQGYFGINiesmlBiOGecQ?select=KU1x1-MYetDq5uXQoQ_ESg Now, notice that the cookie from XT is not as moist! http://www.yelp.com/biz_photos/AYsqFoiw1kgVvBZ9EBASjQ?select=FSWgmJPjCdGANE8iA4Lubw Final thoughts? XT Patisserie macarons are respectable. Are they better than Ladurée? Heaven's no!!! Are they better than 'Lette? Not close!!! In The Great SoCal Macaron Throwdown, they respectfully garner 3rd place behind DoLy's Delectables.

- Locale Destination - I was asked to taste the macarons for my buddy, so I haven't been to the shop. This review is strictly for their macarons. - Gluttony Expedition - Texture: Not gooey but soft. The best I've ever had - but I'm not that experienced like my yelp buddy, Gloria Z. *** Good *** Rose pedal: Great. I love anything "rose" flavor. My fav. Passionfruit: Full flavor, great filling. My fav. Orange blossom: Unique flavor. Vanilla beans: OK. Taro: Strong flavor. Good filling. I don't think it's a "natural" flavor since I cooked it by myself. Real taro root has a lot more subtle and "sweet potato" like flavor. But tasty nonetheless. *** Meh *** Chocolate: Nothing special. Earl gray: The filling was very bitter - almost too bitter. Green tea: Filling is good but little matcha flavor. Coconut: It's hard to detect "coconut" flavor. Hazel nuts: This tasted like "hazel nut syrup". It didn't taste "real". Sea salt caramel: Very strong caramel filling with a hint of salt. Interesting. - Conqueror's Deduction - 3.5 star because it's not bad, but not something I would crave. I'm not a macaron fan. Macarons are gooey and not so satisfying for the price/taste in general. I'm really careless about this dessert. I know it's a bit harder to make it than cookies, but I still think those are way overrated and overpriced like cup cakes. When does the sugar become so expensive in this country???? Sugar is freaking cheap but the sugar products are way over priced - especially for the quality. But I had a decent share of tasting them at many places due to my Yelp buddy who likes those stuff. ** Overall ** Texture: The best I've ever had - not gooey but soft. Flavors: very interesting, adventurous and Asian. They got some high notes on some flavors. Filling: a lot softer and flavorful than usual. Sweetness: A little too sweet for me overall. Not bad, though I'm not interested in finding the best one nor trying this place again.

I am so excited to report that it is finally opened last Saturday!! I have tried their Macarons before and love them. I have been waiting for them to open in our neighborhood. I tried a couple of samples and got two dozen assortments. My favorite is Taro. I don't eat too much sweet but these are not too sweet and have perfect textures. We can pick your favorite flavors or ask them to pick by their recommendation. They are perfect Christmas present!!! I am super happy that they opened their place in La Habra!!

If you have a new obsession for macarons, then look no further. XT Patisserie has macarons that will blow your socks off. They are available at various locations throughout Southern California so check out their website. I had the opportunity to try them at OC Wine Mart but they are also available on Sundays at the Farmers Market at the OC Great Park. My favorite so far has been passion fruit which has a wonderfully complex citrus note in it. The chocolate, caramel, and vanilla are also delicious. I really want to try the Earl Grey one of these days. I'll have to seek them out soon.

Every time I'm in the OC and I'm looking for a place for a sweet treat, Maison de Croissant was…read morealways high up on the suggested search results list. Only recently was I able to visit and try their croffles and other sweets. Did NOT know that this was inside the H Mart food court in Diamond Jamboree. Parking is horrendous and the driving there is horrendous as well. Probably the easiest and least horrifying option just to automatically default to is to just park in the overflow lot right next to the plaza. There's no indicator for the parking garage so on a particularly busy day, you can head all the way to the top, find nothing and navigate through the hell crowds trying to leave. Ambiance is a very casual, counter order business in the food court. There's seating there, but we ate really close by. Definitely something you have to eat immediately or the texture will not be optimal or it might get soggy. We got the tiramisu croffle and they toasted it and put it together for us there. The lady working there packed it up nicely in a to go box and we got some cookies (regular ones and almond crisp ones). It's a bit sweet, but they're dessert pastries so that makes sense. Goes great with a brewed cup of tea. Croffle had a nice semi-chewy texture and the tiramisu flavor added a bit of a coffee taste to it. Good balance of the cream and croffle. The cookie wasn't too bad either. Overall not a bad to go dessert spot.

Vibe: Girly and cute, the place is adorned with faux flowers on the wall, flower table cloths, pink…read morevelvet chairs. Definitely an overall Pink theme. It looks clean and spacious enough for a small scale tea shop. There are a-la-carte menu items (pastries, tea) and an afternoon tea menu. Price: $45 for the Royal Tea Experience package which is extremely reasonable considering what you get. There is a 90 mins max for each tea experience. They are pretty booked from what I saw. Food: For the Royal Tea Experience, each of us got: tea of choice, 5 tea sandwiches (Cucumber Dill Cream cheese, Chicken Salad, Egg Salad, Cranberry Turkey pinwheel, Roast Beed Arugula), 2 scones (Vanilla and Strawberry), Cream, Strawberry preserve, berries and some grapes, 3 desserts (mini muffin, Chocolate brownie, some kind of mini cake). The tea pots were a lot smaller than other places I've been to (probably enough for 1.5 cups of tea if filled to the rim). I love the heart-shaped sugar cubes, the size is just enough for a half teaspoon of sugar. They didn't have any milk for the tea set up like other places I've been to. I love the roast beef sandwich balanced flavor; the chicken one is really bland, a dash of curry powder would enhance the flavor more in my opinion; the cucumber needs to be sliced thinner as these slices are rather chunky; the scones are fine - I usually prefer my scones warm but only 1 place I know that serve it that way. The tea selection is decent, I went for Jasmine Rose. I feel that the scent and tea flavor was rather weak. There was barely any scent of each so it didn't leave a big impression on me. I want to try other ones in the future for sure. The staff was super nice to offer an extra tea bag if the flavor is too weak so I went for another bag. Service: Excellent! They were fast, courteous, and friendly. 2 staff made their rounds frequently to check on us and made sure we had enough hot water in our tea pots . Parking: This is where I docked up a star. The parking lot is shared with many businesses in the same strip mall. I came here at 10 AM on a Saturday and the whole parking lot was filled, there was no spot for me to park. My friend had to park all the way on the other side of the mall and I managed to find some parking in the back (side street). Avoid lunch time at all cost, there were cars waiting around as they couldn't find any parking. After the tea experience, we went somewhere else and upon coming back around 3 PM, half the parking lot is empty. If I would give anyone a tip on the parking time, it seems to be ideal around this time.
