3/2026 don't miss out on their sweet treats
    Jen S.

It's so easy to pass by this counter, it's very unassuming, but hopefully their beautiful macarons and the Tanghulu catch your eye! Just about every TikTok worthy treat I could wish for is here! Macarons Tanghulu *candied strawberries, grapes, tangerines Chocolate Mochi Wrapped Dubai Chocolate Dragon Beard Candy (available in Oreo filling or peanut and sesame seed filling) You don't want to miss this spot. I could take most everything home and they still tasted delicious and kept their structure. The only item I had to eat right away was the Tanghulu. The candy coating melts into a sweet syrup if it's warm out, so to enjoy the addictive crispy crunch and the juicy strawberry/fruit, definitely enjoy it on the spot. Can't wait to be back!

If you've ever been to Japan and had the privilege to try the Tanghulu (candied fruit), you know what I am talking about. We came to the Source for my daughter's birthday per her request, and this was one of the stops we came to. The strawberry tanghulu was 4/5 pretty close to the ones we've tried in Japan. The tangerine tanghulu was alright, it was bland, it would be better if it had a sour or sweeter taste. This was a 2/5 for me. I should've bought the grape one instead of the tangerine one. Strawberry Tanghulu $5.50 Grape Tanghulu $5.00 Tangerine Tanghulu $5.00

Cute little store in the source OC. They have plenty of sweets but the tanghulu was one that caught my attention. You dont really see many tanghulu spots around in SoCal and the ones I have tried in this area was not very good! FOOD: Strawberry Tanghulu - $5.50 (5/5) This was sooo good! I've tried tanghulu in Japan and Taiwan and I would say this is very close. The sugar coating is perfectly crispy and does not stick to your teeth. The strawberries were HUGE and pretty sweet as well. Grape Tanghulu - $5 (5/5) These grapes are bite sized and if youre not feeling like chewing into a strawberry, this is perfect for you. The grapes are sweet and crunchy and sooo good Dragon Beard 10 pc [oreo] - $10 (5/5) TS was soo good. Its kinda like cotton candy but denser if yk what i mean. I ahd this once in japan and I do be craving this. IDK anywhere else that sells this but this was amazing and tasted soo good. They had a sesame flavor but I think the oreo was pretty good (americanized dragon beard loll). I love this i demolished in one day There arent many tanghulu spots around and this place does! They also make it great and satisfied my craving for these. Dragon beard as well! I think putting them in the freezer will keep it soft for longer.

A cute hidden desert spot located in the shopping outlets of The Source. It is hidden and a nice little spot that has things within reasonable prices. The lines are not long but come in waves. This spot is delicious and cute because of the many macaroon options it provides. I would suggest the crystal fruit due to the flavor and options. 8/10 in deserts in this location .

Who doesn't want a delicious treat after a delicious meal? Met my sister and family here for lunch and to spend time together it was our last day before our Grandma and Aunty leave back home to Arkansas. We had a wonderful time together and all of us wanted to get a treat before we left and this is our favorite place to stop and get a treat. I did get more stuff but I didn't get a chance to take a picture of everything. I ended up getting the Dragon beard Oreo treat, it's so amazing and baby girl wanted the grape Tanghulu but she ate it before I could take a picture lol and we all got a bunch of Macarons. I really like coming here they treats. The girl took our order and rang us up was so kind and sweet and patient with all the kids. Thank you so much for excellent service and always delicious treats. Have a beautiful day, be kind to everyone :) Aloha

    $16 Dubai strawberry chocolate

$16 Dubai chocolate strawberry cup is not worth it: chocolate was way too sweet AND the chocolate hardens within 2 minutes so it was really difficult to dig out the strawberries. 4 ppl shared 2 cups for $30 and we all agreed it was not worth it. Also, not enough pistachio flavor at all: there was less than 10% pistachio in the cup. *Request: offer dark chocolate option to offset sweetness; and use chocolate that does NOT harden solid when cooled off. $5 tangerine tanghulu was cute and worth it. Will come back to try other fruits. This is a walk-up window order. Service was fast and friendly.

Stopped by for some macarons. They were okay, but nothing special about them. They have a variety of desserts here. There was a long line earlier in the day, but no one there at night time since it was close to closing time. Okay service.

Got the early grey macaron and it was delicious. The macaron shells were too soft, but the flavor and butter cream were so good! Very strong in taste.

This wasn't my first time visiting--I've been here before and previously tried the strawberry, grape, and tangerine Tanghulu. They were really good, though definitely on the pricey side, but that's expected given the current hype. This was my first time trying their Dubai chocolate-covered strawberries, and I went with the cup that includes pistachio cream. Honestly, I wouldn't spend $15 on it again. The chocolate completely overpowered the pistachio flavor, and there wasn't much cream to begin with. I probably would've enjoyed it more if I had just gone with the regular chocolate-covered strawberries on their own. They also offer other treats like macarons, which I've tried and found to be pretty tasty. Overall, everything I've had here has been good, but it's definitely on the expensive side--so it depends on what you're willing to spend for the experience.

I went back and got more flavors! Red velvet was divine! Green: matcha 7/10 Red: red velvet 9/10 Black and white: earl grey 10/10 Pink: birthday cake? 5/10 Nutella: 7.5/10 The flavors were nice

This location is located on the first floor of the source and it's pretty easy to find. I came for their French macarons and I loved their chewy texture! They have regular and special character/animal macarons. I think they use buttercream for the filling and my favorite was the cookies and cream. I didn't give 5 stars because the earl grey macaron shell didn't have much "feet" which resulted in a less chewy/hollow cookie. Service was quick and friendly. There is a bell at the register to ring for assistance if no one is standing up front. Overall, a solid spot for French macarons and I will be back!

Tried the strawberry tanghulu and some of their macarons here. The strawberry tanghulu isn't really worth it, you get three strawberries coated in sugar shell for $5. The sugar on the outside is also kinda thick compared to ones that I had in Asia. The thick sugar made it too sweet, however for the macarons the earl grey and salted caramel ones i got were delicious.

The plaza has plenty of parking and houses a few other ethnic restaurants and spas, so it's very easy to get to during a Disneyland trip. Inside, there are tons of stuff from the Levant, spices, halal gummies, imported chocolates, homemade Dubai chocolate, and a huge selection of Turkish delights and roasted nuts made by them. They also have a wide variety of baklava and fresh knafeh right there ready to cut, which is a sweet cheese dessert with a fun kataifi crunch. The gentleman who helped me was very kind, though there was a slight language barrier. He let me try a bunch of nuts when I inquired - and I sort of had to, since several varieties were unlabeled, or just had a sign for what they were, or what the flavor was, but not vice versa. The nuts were good and seemed like a good and healthy snack to bring into a theme park or to have at home. I thought the flavors I tried were hard to distinguish from another after a while, and subtle. I had the fresh Dubai chocolate and thought it was pretty nice, distinctly bitter, nutty, moist, with tons of fresh kataifi crunch. You do have to keep it refrigerated though, as I assume it's made with ingredients that wouldn't hold well together at room temperature - typically a better sign in terms of paleo diets if you've ever made paleo chocolates for yourself. It's a bit atypical from other Dubai chocolate as the filling quantity here is uniquely generous. It's very rare to see a cute, almost timeless shop like this, containing lots of traditional and authentic goods. Would enjoy revisiting to try their coffee and the nearby food.

TAWDI appeared highly rated, but it was also basically the only choice. Walking in to Mickey Mouse greeting you, it's a very homely, organized, and oddly empty shop with some Middle Eastern influence. They are big on marketing for their Dubai chocolate offerings, which I did try. The lady who helped was very kind, offering us each a sample by the chocolate type we liked. As she explained how they make chocolate in the back daily, I had to inquire about popular selections and what some flavors were. Basically, they seem to focus on Dubai chocolates and have some imported goods from Lebanon. While I trust that they make chocolates daily, I have to question how much, what flavors, and what is being turned over, because the sample I ate and the chocolates I opened up later certainly had obvious chocolate bloom, and yes they were stored at an appropriate temperature and eaten on the same day. At the price these pieces were, they certainly shouldn't have chocolate bloom nor taste like old chocolate. The filling of their Dubai bar was nice, crunchy, and moist, but the exterior chocolate shell didn't really have a taste. I am fine with paying a premium for premium-tasting chocolate and often do it, but I would have preferred eating grocery store chocolate, honestly. I'm not sure what others are tasting or whether people reviewing TAWDI are actually into chocolate, but I was disappointed when I didn't enjoy these.
