Service is good and I like the convenience since it pairs well with my grocery shopping for Korean food. Best bakery shop in the area, hands down. My dad has been enjoying their breads for years now and today I tried their sweet potato cake and corn bread and both were phenomenal. Sweet potato cake is popular in Korea and consists of sweet potato mousse layers with sweet potato crumbs on top. My family is pretty picky with desserts/sweets and they loved it. Cake was so moist it reminded me of castella. The cake consisted of three layers of cake and mousse each. Mousse had a texture of buttercream and had tiny bits of sweet potato for extra texture. The cake had a pleasant aromatic scent to it whenever I went close to take a bite, it was heavenly. And of course, the ultimate millennial-style dessert compliment: it was not too sweet. The corn bread reminded me of a corn biscuit - it had the taste of sweet buttery corn with the flaky texture of biscuit that I oh so enjoy. I love buying my Korean breads here when I come to Hannam Chain for my weekly grocery shopping. They usually have a large variety if you go early enough in the day. We bought these breads last 2 days ago. One of them had molds in it so we brought it back to the store and asked for a refund. Staff said she can't give us the refund since we didn't store it correctly. It was supposed to be refrigerated but there was no such instruction provided when we purchased the item. I wanted to watch the world burn when I found out that Paris Baguette discontinued their Sweet Potato Cake. It was my college roommate's favorite type of cake, and I really wanted to get her one for her birthday. Thanks to Yelp, I found We Bakery which had sweet potato cake photos and a few reviews (although dated ~2 years back). I called them to make sure they had it, and they did! We Bakery is located towards the back of the Korean supermarket. It also smells so nice, like fresh, sweet bread. I bought a whole sweet potato cake (~$30, average price), which they boxed and provided a plastic cake knife + candles. The staff was so nice and patient as they completed my order (you might have to be patient too because their English is just okay). In my opinion, the sweet potato cake tastes better than Paris Baguette's. The cake is sweet but not too sweet. It's light. It has mini chestnut bits inside. THIS STORE DOES NOT DESERVE EVEN A STAR. if a negative was possible then that would be what I would put. The old lady at this store is just absolutely rude. She does not know how to treat customers nor does she have COMMON decency. As I went up to pay for my bread, I decided to put one back, but this old lady started talking about how she hates customers who "pretend" they're going to purchase bread to just put it back in the end. Mind you I was buying other bread and was just putting back one and either way I do not see the problem with that. She started talking about how some customers always make a mess by putting some bread in the wrong sections which is why her customers sometimes misunderstand some of the bread prices. I don't know I was not listening after a while. I just wanted to purchase my bread and go home. Nearby Hannam chain there are other bakeries like 85 or Paris baguette. Even if these bakeries are just the SLIGHTEST bit pricier, I would much rather pay a bit more for BETTER quality bread (they tasted horrible when I ate them at home) with much more of a variety than going to this bummed out rag store with poor ventilation, at the fish section of the market, poor quality bread and sanitation, and most of all: this utterly rude old lady that DOES NOT know how to treat customers. DO NOT BUY any bread if you have any food allergy. As u see the ingredients, there is no nuts. So I got it for my son who is allergic to nuts. On last Sunday, my family went to the Beach and my son ate it. Right after, he had allergy reactions on the Beach. He could not breath and lips got swollen. Luckily I had allergy drop and Epi-pen so he could save his life. But he was very suffered and my family time got ruined. Today I showed the same bread to the owner and told him that there is nuts even if the ingredients said No Nuts. I happened to stop by this cute bakery inside hannam chain. I got a slice of their sweet potato cake, which tasted really yummy and fresh. Two days later, I came back for a whole sweet potato cake, and my whole family loved it. We all agreed that their cake is way more fresh than Paris baguette as well as being more affordable. Good bakery located inside the hannam chain supermarket in buena park. I buy bread here from time to time, as well as their huge loaves of bread. It is cheaper than the Paris baguette next door, although the variety of bread is slightly less and less fancier too. The bread is very simple. They have the red bean bread, the sesame bread, coffee buns, croquette, the gombo bread, and the chestnut manjoos, etc... They are very good and cheap too. I can buy like 20 of the breads and it still wouldn't be that expensive. The cakes are cheaper too, which is very good. Good, kind owner lady who smiles each time I visit. I love food. I love Almond pastries whether it's almond croissants or brioche (Kiari West). We Bakery has 1 of the best almond pastries I've ever tasted in their Almond Bun. I've never had anything quite like it. If you are lucky, it will have minimal breading inside so that it's just a crunchy, slightly sweet shell with a thin layer of breading inside that is soaked with a rich almond butter/paste. If you've purchased it over 1 day ago, please listen to me and toast it in a toaster oven (for Breville toaster ovens, 2 minutes at 340 degrees); it'll be difficult to stop at just one and you can thank me later. At $1.50 for each, this is a great bargain (much like the 85 cents cheese rolls at Portos). Their brick toast is quite good also. Even if I found a hair inside the bread, I'd still eat it (and spit out the hair of course). That's how good it is. Treat yourself; you deserve it. read more

Variety of yummies. Always polite and friendly service. Their price is ridiculously low compared to pastry prices at popular and leading bakeries/coffee shops. With a $2 Croquette (backed potato bread, price as of 10/22/2021) fills me up when I need a simple and quick meal. I buy several at once then freeze them, then put it in my toaster oven, and it comes out like the first day of picking it up. Yum!!! I try not to buy their milk bread, a loaf of it can be gone in one sitting, sooooo good. My husband's favorite is the one with crumbs with a hint of peanut better taste. Walking around the shopping complex, we decided to go and check out the market and we were glad we did cause we discovered We Bakery located inside the market next to the seafood area. The cakes and bread are very tasty and can't go wrong with any choice you make. We plan on trying everything one at a time but so far our favorite is the blue berry cake, it was moist and not way to sweet. They lied to me! For my birthday, we ordered a cake from here. They gave me a sample of chocolate cake and told us that they would make a big dome shaped one for our order. However, the cake we received tasted horrible and was very dry, causing everyone to choke on it. It was not dome shaped and I was very disappointed in it because it had tasted so good when we sampled it. The cake I actually got was completely different from the sample by the way. Definitely wouldn't recommend the cakes there at all. The only good thing is that the bread is decent. read more
