If you bought a bag of the coffee bean, you will have one complimentary drink. I visited in the next day and had the pullover. Although they have the machine but the barista still hand craft the coffee( they have the pull over machine). Most of them have been a miss sadly :( The fruit lattes and drinks from their seasonal menu usually has actual chunks of fruit in it which makes it hard to drink and you have to chew while drinking a latte ;( not my fave. I got there, got a new earl grey lemon loaf from the bakery, got my blueberry Yakult matcha latte and sat down to try. Sadly, it didn't hit... the blueberries are still super chunky so I had to use 2 different straws because my first one got stuck with blueberries in it. The Yakult foam was really good but the blueberries weren't :( I HIGHLY recommend when making fruit syrups for coffee, boil down the fruit and blend it or strain out the big pieces. I sadly have stopped really coming to Smoking Tiger so often because I haven't been impressed and other coffee shops have been popping up that has better quality now :( Smoking Tiger has been focusing more on quantity of stores rather than quality of their food and drinks.

When I tasted it, it wasn't cold, so I politely asked if it could be transferred to a clear to-go cup with ice. The staff said they couldn't provide a clear cup with ice because of store policy. Honestly, I was surprised by the response. It was such a simple request, and I wasn't asking for anything unreasonable. A little flexibility and customer service would have gone a long way. I visit coffee shops almost every day, and if you look at my reviews, you'll see that I'm usually very generous and understanding when it comes to coffee shops. Those tend to come out grainy, aggressively dark green, and honestly a little artificial-tasting to me. Little Ox is smoother and cleaner. You taste the tea, not a powder. The Genji matcha latte was my favorite. It's been sold out indefinitely, which I'm still a little sad about. These days I reach for the Okumidori matcha latte instead. My husband and my brother both usually order the brown sugar hojicha. Always with the salted cream top. We haven't found better versions of these anywhere else. It's also a great spot to work or study. Comfortable enough to settle in for a few hours. They carry nice merch too -- matcha sets, and recently Genji matcha tins if you want to make it at home. Highly recommend, especially if you've been disappointed by the trendier places.
