To begin, I'll begin with the prices, I paid $2.25 for a 6pak of donut holes. I don't think anything could justify the price I paid for those. Maybe If I bought 10-12, maybe, yeah. As for the actual donut itself, it was ok. It was a little bland, generic and hit me with a bad aftertaste. Just to throw in, the person at the counter, gave me severe attitude when I mentioned I don't carry cash. There are just certain things that make you want to return to a business or turn your back altogether. Just down the street, Sweet-O-Donuts. Those have got to be some of the most god-damn best donuts Ive ever had. They serve you with just hospitality and have been running that place for ages. Cute and simplistic; your neighborhood donut shop. I was greeted right away and when I asked for a coffee suggestion, I was told to get the French vanilla cappuccino. It was pretty good - nothing high end but it was enjoyable. I also ordered a bagel and cream cheese. It came out nice and hot and toasted. I went in here to buy two small coffees for $2 each and one cake donut for $1.40, which the lady rang up for a grand total of $5.40. I was about to pay the amount using my credit card, but without a hint of explanation she demands I owe her $6.40 supposedly for a credit card surcharge of 75 cents. Having lived abroad for many years and visiting my relatives in California for the first time in a long time, as an unwitting customer, I paid the amount only to find out later that the maximum surcharge stands typically at %5 (27 cents). She didn't point to any sign that spelled out the policy. She seemed dismissive and curt. There are plenty of other California donut shops that provide better service. read more

I stop in here once a week for a raising roll or an apple fritter. The raisin rolls are great anytime but the apple fritters need some time to cool down in the early mornings. For some reason French fries and chicken are best straight from the fryer and donuts are not, maybe it's just me. They also have great yellow cake and carrot cake if you want something a little bit lighter. The girl that works here is is nice at first and then becomes super sweet after she gets to know you. Today I came to this place for the first time. Was helped by this Asian lady witch I will assume was the owner. She was rude and gave me the hardest time after I bought 4; coffees and I asked for French vanilla creamers I didn't know she was charging 10 cents per each each, she didn't mentioned it at all until it was time to pay. Since I like creamers I used 15 for the 4 coffee I saw her charging me for it. I asked her why didn't she say they were 10 cents and or why didn't she have a sign saying so. She got mad and gave me a very nasty sarcastic laugh and said if I didn't like it to go some were else. I asked to speak to her boss and she smirked and said she was it. Told her had really bad service and that it was my first time and my last. There is many doughnuts shops everywhere so I highly recommended that you stay clear of this place. She made me feel humiliated . These people live of customers buying from them. So what happened to taking care of the customer!! She acted as if we need from them and not the other way around. They have fresh donuts and there are so many to chose from, it makes it hard sometimes. I found this donut shop when I was driving by and decided to stop one morning. I am so glad I did. Nothing special. I picked up a sandwich for lunch. It was $5 and very thin on meat. The sign on the door says they accept all major credit cards but if you try to use one they will charge you an extra $.75. You'd think in 2017 this wouldn't be an issue but it happens here. Also, they play the guilt card by conveniently preparing your whole order before telling you about the extra fee--no sign at the register or anywhere in sight indicating that fee. I hope she wasn't just charging me. That would be blatant discrimination. After I ordered I politely asked for a cup of tap water and she refused and told me they only sell bottled water. I give a three star because the place was very clean and the lady was otherwise quite polite. read more

I came here here many times in the mornings to get some donuts and this place gets packed really fast all the time! I had good donuts last few times i visited there, so it made me so sad when i had "bad donuts" the other morning. We ordered 1/2 of dozen which costed us $4 and donuts weren't fresh! They were really hard & you can tell that it was pre-made the day before or even before that! We ordered several chocolate covered and several sugar glazed and they both tasted old... so we were disappointed... hopefully it was just that day that they gave out old donuts... :( read more
