I stepped out headed for Lee's Sandwiches another 8 minutes down the road but got lazy when I saw they had bfast, seating and Vietnamese Iced Coffee, my whole reason for heading to Lee's. I stopped in, the manager or maybe the owner, greeted me in a friendly manner and we chatted a bit as i ordered. I got an egg, turkey and cheese croissant which was huge and yummy. A fried egg wrapped over cheese over meat, warm and gooey. I also got an old fashioned donut, yummy but still regretting it as I type this, ;) and the topper, the iced coffee. Man, that was good. Solid good! I sat in a corner and ate, watching people flow in and out. I gotta give the staff here props. Really nice people, to everyone. We were in the area getting gas, when we noticed the familiar donut sign on a building. We decided to check out B & B Donuts. In addition to have a store front, they also have a drive thru. Chocolate cream filled, chocolate bar, blueberry, chocolate sprinkles, and a M&M's one. If you couldn't tell, my family loves chocolate. Love this donut shop. I drive by it all the time and finally decided to stop in. I've gone in twice now and both times were a little before 11am on a Sunday. There are always people inside but not crazy busy, and the little line moves quickly. Came here for something different. I was hungry and was on the 91 freeway near the Harbor exit and my hubs recommended a sandwich from B&B donuts. I said, well that's random? So I agreed instead of going to the usual drive thru. We shared a combo ham, turkey, cheese and salami sandwich. It came out warm and the French roll was crunchy on the outside and warm and soft on the inside. The meat to bread ratio was perfect. It came with lettuce, tomato, mayo and mustard. It was so delicious on my first bite! If the rolls are made in house I would buy some to make other types of sandwiches at home. They are quick, take credit cards and Apple Pay for a half dollar charge. The only downsides are that you need to come early or your favorites run out like the mini apple fritters. I visited this shop for the first time today! I chose the donut holes priced at 12 for $2.50 and to get an iced Vietnamese coffee $4.75. Both items were a 10/10. The doughnuts still tasted very fresh for a middle of the day snack and the coffee was perfect addition. I would definitely come back and get the same combo!
