Half dozen + some complimentary donuts. So fresh and delicious!!!
    Grace T.

My go-to spot for fresh, delicious donuts!! This is a family owned business, and the couple (and occasionally their kids) who work there are so sweet! As a regular who used to come by at least once a month, I love that the entire family remembers me and always adds complimentary new kinds of donuts for me to try on top of my order. Service is amazing, and I love that I get to support a small business while also satisfying my sweet tooth! Can't go wrong with anything here, but my favorite picks are all the filled donuts (Boston cream, raspberry, lemon), old fashioned donut (love that they offer an unglazed, plain version), chocolate glazed yeast donut with peanuts, orange glazed cake donut and bear claw (not made the traditional way with almond, but the apples in this taste SO fresh). You won't find anything too fancy here, but they do such a good job with the classics. I'm currently located in San Diego, so sometimes I bring these donuts back down with me, and they still taste fresh days later (you heard me right, I said DAYS later). The quality of these donuts rivals that of donuts from expensive, gourmet donut shops. Give them a try -- I promise you won't regret it!!

    Ham & Cheese Croissant for $4.50 each as of 4/24/24 and they're 2 or 3 x's bigger than Starbucks's makes them :)

-Hablan Español! Haha :) The wife that attended me is trilingual (she speaks English, Spanish, and her native language from Asia, I thought that was cool!) -These are 2x's, possibly 3x's as big as Starbucks's Ham & Cheese Croissants -$4.50 each as of Wednesday, April 24, 2024 -They're as yummy as Starbucks's croissants :)

Local donut shop, sweet asian couple have been in the area so long they've picked up enough spanish for light bantering with customers and staff. Loved watching the interactions while waiting for my order. Great communication and speed, they constantly were updating me on my order even though I was there no longer than 4 minutes. Parents and kids destroyed their savory croissant/ham/cheese. They offer croissants and toast for savory hot sandwiches, went for the toast since I rarely see it. The ham and egg was great for breakfast but in the future I would ask for no mayo. Glazed donut was not too sweet and slightly larger than normal. A good donut even a day later when donuts from other places would start turning hard.

Great tasting donuts, very friendly service. Clean business and family owned. Definitely need to try!

Nice ratio of custard to donut.

Recently, I decided to continue my tour of Donut shops within 10 miles of my in-laws home. So far, within 5 years, I've visited at least two dozen shops. Now, I can cross Vandy Donuts off my list. Finally got the opportunity to stop in. They are a nice mom & pop donut shop. Service was polite, and she wore a facemask. There was a large selection of donuts available that early afternoon. I chose two of my favorite kinds, and my wife chose a plain croissant. So what did we think? She liked her croissant, and said it was one of the better ones she's had from a shop anywhere. My Custard filled Chocolate donut was delicious. The custard to donut ratio was spot on. The Chocolate French Cruller was really good too. Do not French Crullers in most shops. Ones that have them usually do not taste too good. Vandy's makes a delicious one. I'm a fan of Vandys. If I lived in the area, then I would be a regular.

I heard about…read morethis place from coworkers and TikTok but every time I drove past there's ALWAYS a long line and didn't want to wait that long. It's a small mom and pop donut shop with a drive-thru, it's a bit dark and inconspicuous, especially at 4 am when I went. I ordered 3 of their blueberry donuts with a Vietnamese ice coffee. The donuts were fresh and warm with a nice blueberry flavor, extremely delicious. So they definitely live up to the hype! The donut itself weren't overly cakey and had a nice crunch to them due to the glaze that's over them but still very soft on the inside. However, the Vietnamese iced coffee was just okay as the coffee flavor wasn't strong enough and it tasted like a regular iced coffee with cream. Also, I wished the ice was crushed instead of cubed. You're off getting better Vietnamese iced coffee from 7 leaves or any other place. Maybe I had a bad batch so try it you may like it. Regardless, I won't be coming here for the iced coffee just the donuts. The gentleman taking my order was very nice and so sweet. He was quite welcoming and so happy, we had up a very small conversation. I think he may have been the only one working that morning so it took a little longer than expected like 7-10 minutes but I am not complaining as the donuts I believe are made to order and I was also the only one in the drive-thru line so I didn't feel too bad. I will definitely be back! I would like try more of their donuts and maybe a different drink.

Parking at the Anaheim district the evening we visited during the Holidays was super busy! We had to park a few blocks away and walk over. The moment I approached the counter in the food hall, I was pretty excited! This is one of the newer locations in Southern California for Randy's Donuts. My favorite is the classic glaze. Each bite of the classic glaze is soft and slightly sweet. The donut wasn't hard and had a light fluffy texture. The choices are not too extensive compared to other Randy's donuts location but it does have classic choices as well as some creative donuts. You can also get coffee here too! It's great to be able to get donuts and a hot drink, then sit in the courtyard at the Anaheim Packing district! Sometimes this spot can get relatively busy especially on the weekends, but I always have to get a glazed donut from Randy's donuts! It's one of my go to places while I'm in California for Donuts!

I'd always heard about Randy's Donuts, so while I was at the Anaheim Packing House for dinner, I…read morefinally decided to see what all the hype was about. I picked up a small assortment so I could get a good feel for what they offer. Before I even got to the donuts, I have to ask: why does the box have four holes in it? I understand it's probably meant to resemble donut holes, but it seems like an odd design choice. For donuts that aren't exactly cheap, I'd rather have a box that keeps them fresh than one with decorative cutouts. Now for the donuts: Chocolate Raised: The donut itself was surprisingly light, airy, and soft with a nice chew. The texture was exactly what I want from a raised donut. The problem was the chocolate icing. The first bite tasted good, but after a few seconds it left an almost burnt, slightly bitter aftertaste that became more noticeable with every bite. It completely overshadowed what was otherwise a really nice donut. Glazed: This was easily my favorite of the bunch. A good glazed donut is the benchmark for any donut shop, and Randy's did a respectable job. The glaze had a pleasant sweetness without being overwhelming, and the dough was soft and fresh. For some reason, though, it felt a little denser and heavier than the chocolate raised, even though the flavor was much better. Maple: The maple flavor itself was enjoyable and had a nice, rich sweetness without tasting artificial. The icing was noticeably thicker than I expected, almost like a layer of frosting instead of a thin glaze. While it tasted good, that extra thickness made the donut feel heavier and richer than I usually prefer. Blueberry Cake: This one just wasn't for me. The cake texture felt dense and dry compared to the raised donuts, and the blueberry flavor didn't really come through. Instead, it had an artificial sweetness that left me wanting to move on after just a couple of bites. Cronut: It's essentially a glazed croissant, and that's exactly what it tasted like. The outside had a nice crispness, the inside was flaky and buttery, and the glaze added just enough sweetness. It was enjoyable, but it also wasn't anything that really stood out or made me think, "I need to order this again." Overall, I'm glad I finally gave Randy's Donuts a try because it's such a well-known name, but I don't think it's a place I'll be returning to. The glazed donut was the standout, the dough on the raised donuts was genuinely good, but the flavors and overall experience just didn't live up to the reputation for me.

The setup is simple; walk up to the window, place your order, and try not to get distracted by the display case packed with donuts that look like they belong in a bakery competition. The employees inside were ready to answer any questions and worked diligently to get orders processed. There are a handful of outdoor tables if you want to enjoy your treats there, but be warned that it can get busy in the morning. After one visit here it's easy to understand why. What really sets them apart is their willingness to get creative. They have the classics, but the adventurous specialty donuts are where the magic happens. I tried the Girl Scout inspired Samoa donut, and it absolutely delivered. A soft, pillowy donut with a rich chocolate-coated bottom, topped with a generous layer of caramel and coconut. The flavors were balanced deliciously. The chocolate added depth, the caramel brought just enough buttery sweetness, and the coconut gave it texture and a slightly nutty finish. Best of all, it wasn't overwhelmingly sweet. Going back for this one soon! If coconut is not your thing, but you enjoy chocolate and whip cream I recommend the whipped cream stuffed chocolate Long John. The chocolate icing had a nice cocoa flavor without being overly sweet, while the whipped cream filling was light, airy, and pleasantly smooth. What really stood out though was the donut itself because it was soft, fluffy, and fresh. The freshness was obvious from the first bite. The donut had that perfect texture--light and airy inside while still substantial enough to hold all of those toppings. It managed to feel indulgent without becoming heavy. Even the atmosphere here adds to the experience. Standing outside with a fresh donut and coffee in hand while watching the steady stream of customers come and go gives you the feeling that you've discovered a local favorite rather than a chain trying to imitate one. If you're the type who usually grabs a plain glazed donut and moves on, this is the place that might convince you to branch out. Between the creative flavors, fresh ingredients, and consistently delicious execution, it's easy to see why people line up in the morning. Some donuts satisfy a craving, these donuts create one!
