So yummy! My fiancée took me here on a weekend morning because I'd never had it (his job caters Vandy Donuts on Saturday mornings and has been doing so for the past ten years). Anyways, he took me here and the front lady was so nice. She had so many recommendations. I purchased 2 donuts, a chocolate bar and a citrus round donut. For someone who is not a huge fan of donuts, I really liked these. They weren't overly sweet and it wasn't too heavy on my stomach. We also purchased a croissant jalapeño ham and cheese. Guys!!! This was so good! It wasn't overly cheesy. I get so thrown off from overly cheesy foods and will usually stop after a few bites if something is made with too much cheese. I shared this but ate a substantial amount. A lot of people came in while we were inside and there were many people at the table. My go-to spot for fresh, delicious donuts!! This is a family owned business, and the couple (and occasionally their kids) who work there are so sweet! As a regular who used to come by at least once a month, I love that the entire family remembers me and always adds complimentary new kinds of donuts for me to try on top of my order. Service is amazing, and I love that I get to support a small business while also satisfying my sweet tooth! Can't go wrong with anything here, but my favorite picks are all the filled donuts (Boston cream, raspberry, lemon), old fashioned donut (love that they offer an unglazed, plain version), chocolate glazed yeast donut with peanuts, orange glazed cake donut and bear claw (not made the traditional way with almond, but the apples in this taste SO fresh). You won't find anything too fancy here, but they do such a good job with the classics. I'm currently located in San Diego, so sometimes I bring these donuts back down with me, and they still taste fresh days later (you heard me right, I said DAYS later). I stopped in around 7 AM for the first time and was greeted by a sweet lady right away. I got a dozen mix for just under $20 . Their donuts are some of the best I've had. Local donut shop, sweet asian couple have been in the area so long they've picked up enough spanish for light bantering with customers and staff. Loved watching the interactions while waiting for my order. Great communication and speed, they constantly were updating me on my order even though I was there no longer than 4 minutes. Parents and kids destroyed their savory croissant/ham/cheese. They offer croissants and toast for savory hot sandwiches, went for the toast since I rarely see it. The ham and egg was great for breakfast but in the future I would ask for no mayo. Glazed donut was not too sweet and slightly larger than normal. This is my go to for donuts around here. They are the best. I think they may use a coconut oil in their donuts that give it a little better taste than all the rest but not positive. One thing is for sure the man and woman that run this place are so nice and hometowny. I think they are trilingual and speak an Asian language, Spanish and English, so cool. They know everyone that comes in there and always are so nice to me when I go in around once a month. Also they are not stingy like some places. I think almost every time I go they throw in an extra donut. The only downside is not due to them but the economy. $1.50 for a glaze donut is WILD. Just last year it was $1. Recently, I decided to continue my tour of Donut shops within 10 miles of my in-laws home. So far, within 5 years, I've visited at least two dozen shops. Now, I can cross Vandy Donuts off my list. Finally got the opportunity to stop in. They are a nice mom & pop donut shop. Service was polite, and she wore a facemask. There was a large selection of donuts available that early afternoon. I chose two of my favorite kinds, and my wife chose a plain croissant. So what did we think? She liked her croissant, and said it was one of the better ones she's had from a shop anywhere. My Custard filled Chocolate donut was delicious. The custard to donut ratio was spot on. The Chocolate French Cruller was really good too. Do not French Crullers in most shops. Ones that have them usually do not taste too good. Vandy's makes a delicious one. I'm a fan of Vandys. If I lived in the area, then I would be a regular. read more

Probably the best donuts in the area. The lady was super friendly and assisted my toddler son and I. We didn't order too many things, but one of the measuring sticks I use when trying a donut place is how good their old fashioned glazed is. BEST APPLE FRITTER EVEN BETTER SERVICE! I absolutely love Vandy Donuts. I first stopped off here because my boyfriend's nickname is Vandy and I wanted to take a picture of their sign and maybe pick up a glazed donut. I walked into a warm and cozy little shop and was instantly greeted with a smile. Despite being busy with customers, the owner greeted me and took the time to say good morning and repeatedly thanked me for my patience while waiting a whopping 2 minutes for him to finish up with the customers ahead of me. The people who work here are genuinely kind people who clearly love what they do. These donuts are fresh and delicious. Today I picked up the apple fritter and was FLOORED. My favorite apple fritter used to be from Bob's Donuts all the way in LA at the Grove. Vandy's are even BETTER! These dark brown mounds of joy are fluffy and moist on the inside, crispy and sweet on the outside with a huge punch of cinnamon that instantly tastes of autumn. Really great doughnuts. We usually go to DK down the street cause it's SLIGHTLY closer to my house but we decided to try a new place. But DK makes my stomach hurt and I was in the mood for doughnuts. It's Friday after all ‍ Anyway, I got a half dozen: classic glazed, chocolate glazed, chocolate glazed with sprinkles, glazed twist, chocolate twist, and jelly. I also added a cinnamon roll doughnut. Just by looking at them, the doughnuts looked tasty and the staff was very friendly. They taste as good as they look. Nice and fluffy. I wanted to find a donut spot that was on my route to work and the ones I have seen (either by my house or work) are usually loitered with homeless people. I've been stopping by here frequently in the past few weeks and it has gone smoothly. I always order 1 or 2 plain croissants (warmed up) and if I'm feeling a bit naughty I'll sometimes get a chocolate cruller or chocolate bar. Since I usually come around 7 in the morning they are always well-stocked with yummy goodies. I love their croissants. They're big and fluffy but the exterior is so nice and toasty--the best combo. I'm sure the sweet lady behind the counter remembers me since I have a pretty boring routine =) Aside from their donuts and pastries I also saw a menu for breakfast sandwiches. I will need to try one someday. And as usual, they have coffee and cold beverages. I usually pay cash but I believe they offer card with a small fee. The service is always friendly and welcoming and the place looks clean and organized. They also treat everybody the same. It's a very nice little donut shop. read more
