I picked up a half dozen of donuts this morning! I figured I'd bring them to work and see who wants one. It's nice to have treats on Friday's and the end of a long work week. And I hadn't had donies in a while! These were fresh and delicious. Yummy! My glaze twist was everything I hoped it would be lol It brightened up my Friday and helped me get through the day lol My fellow colleagues in office today appreciated the treat as well. Score!

Half dozen + some complimentary donuts. So fresh and delicious!!!

My go-to spot for fresh, delicious donuts!! This is a family owned business, and the couple (and occasionally their kids) who work there are so sweet! As a regular who used to come by at least once a month, I love that the entire family remembers me and always adds complimentary new kinds of donuts for me to try on top of my order. Service is amazing, and I love that I get to support a small business while also satisfying my sweet tooth! Can't go wrong with anything here, but my favorite picks are all the filled donuts (Boston cream, raspberry, lemon), old fashioned donut (love that they offer an unglazed, plain version), chocolate glazed yeast donut with peanuts, orange glazed cake donut and bear claw (not made the traditional way with almond, but the apples in this taste SO fresh). You won't find anything too fancy here, but they do such a good job with the classics. I'm currently located in San Diego, so sometimes I bring these donuts back down with me, and they still taste fresh days later (you heard me right, I said DAYS later). The quality of these donuts rivals that of donuts from expensive, gourmet donut shops. Give them a try -- I promise you won't regret it!!

    Ham & Cheese Croissant for $4.50 each as of 4/24/24 and they're 2 or 3 x's bigger than Starbucks's makes them :)

-Hablan Español! Haha :) The wife that attended me is trilingual (she speaks English, Spanish, and her native language from Asia, I thought that was cool!) -These are 2x's, possibly 3x's as big as Starbucks's Ham & Cheese Croissants -$4.50 each as of Wednesday, April 24, 2024 -They're as yummy as Starbucks's croissants :)

Local donut shop, sweet asian couple have been in the area so long they've picked up enough spanish for light bantering with customers and staff. Loved watching the interactions while waiting for my order. Great communication and speed, they constantly were updating me on my order even though I was there no longer than 4 minutes. Parents and kids destroyed their savory croissant/ham/cheese. They offer croissants and toast for savory hot sandwiches, went for the toast since I rarely see it. The ham and egg was great for breakfast but in the future I would ask for no mayo. Glazed donut was not too sweet and slightly larger than normal. A good donut even a day later when donuts from other places would start turning hard.

Great tasting donuts, very friendly service. Clean business and family owned. Definitely need to try!

Nice ratio of custard to donut.

Recently, I decided to continue my tour of Donut shops within 10 miles of my in-laws home. So far, within 5 years, I've visited at least two dozen shops. Now, I can cross Vandy Donuts off my list. Finally got the opportunity to stop in. They are a nice mom & pop donut shop. Service was polite, and she wore a facemask. There was a large selection of donuts available that early afternoon. I chose two of my favorite kinds, and my wife chose a plain croissant. So what did we think? She liked her croissant, and said it was one of the better ones she's had from a shop anywhere. My Custard filled Chocolate donut was delicious. The custard to donut ratio was spot on. The Chocolate French Cruller was really good too. Do not French Crullers in most shops. Ones that have them usually do not taste too good. Vandy's makes a delicious one. I'm a fan of Vandys. If I lived in the area, then I would be a regular.

Parking at the Anaheim district the evening we visited during the Holidays was super busy! We had to park a few blocks away and walk over. The moment I approached the counter in the food hall, I was pretty excited! This is one of the newer locations in Southern California for Randy's Donuts. My favorite is the classic glaze. Each bite of the classic glaze is soft and slightly sweet. The donut wasn't hard and had a light fluffy texture. The choices are not too extensive compared to other Randy's donuts location but it does have classic choices as well as some creative donuts. You can also get coffee here too! It's great to be able to get donuts and a hot drink, then sit in the courtyard at the Anaheim Packing district! Sometimes this spot can get relatively busy especially on the weekends, but I always have to get a glazed donut from Randy's donuts! It's one of my go to places while I'm in California for Donuts!

And I'm like, girl I don't work here. All the donuts were set out close to each other so the tiers were not clear. I've never been more stressed just picking out donuts. Awful experience. Too greasy, weird aftertastes, terrible terrible heartburn and upset stomach after... And with these, I didn't experience any of that(a little burpy after, but I mean, it's donuts... LOL) We only tried 3 different donuts, but they were all so bomb. The churro donut was my favorite. Crispy on the outside and soft on the inside just like a real churro, but didn't get soggy. The Nutella Malasada was full of Nutella and it was actually my first time trying a malasada... bomb! The cookies and creme mochi was a nice surprise too. The cream was actually very flavorful and not just like a plain creme with Oreos thrown in like I've often seen. I'm sure all of the donuts would be really good here. I will definitely make a trek here again one of these days.

Churro was super hard and stale, salted caramel literally tasted like nothing, blueberry tasted like sweet artificial fruit, carrot cake with cream cheese frosting was the best one. I really love how hospitable he was and decided to try some of their items. The ambiance is very down to earth, chill, and typical like any donut shop you can think of. There is a lot more room than usual and they also have more food items than what I recall with other donut shops. I saw what seemed like a crepe rolled up pastry with different toppings on it and found out they call them "burrito", but is a dessert type. I got myself one of those "burritos", a bear claw, and an original crueller. "Burrito" - 4.5/5 the flavor was fine and I got the apple topping with cinnamon. Flavor was on point. The texture was a bit hard for my teeth, but nothing horrible. I just prefer softness when it comes to sweets/donuts. Bear Claw - 5/5 It was so moist, perfectly sweeten, and I don't know how they made it look so perfectly portioned to where it actually did look like a clean looking bear claw, but that definitely helped when I was pulling each "claw" and enjoying each bite. Definitely a must have. Crueller - 5/5 it was extremely soft and moist on the first bite. I devoured that thing like nothing in one sitting. I plan to come back and try their other flavors.

The setup is simple; walk up to the window, place your order, and try not to get distracted by the display case packed with donuts that look like they belong in a bakery competition. The employees inside were ready to answer any questions and worked diligently to get orders processed. There are a handful of outdoor tables if you want to enjoy your treats there, but be warned that it can get busy in the morning. After one visit here it's easy to understand why. What really sets them apart is their willingness to get creative. They have the classics, but the adventurous specialty donuts are where the magic happens. I tried the Girl Scout inspired Samoa donut, and it absolutely delivered. A soft, pillowy donut with a rich chocolate-coated bottom, topped with a generous layer of caramel and coconut. The flavors were balanced deliciously. The chocolate added depth, the caramel brought just enough buttery sweetness, and the coconut gave it texture and a slightly nutty finish. Best of all, it wasn't overwhelmingly sweet. Going back for this one soon! If coconut is not your thing, but you enjoy chocolate and whip cream I recommend the whipped cream stuffed chocolate Long John. The chocolate icing had a nice cocoa flavor without being overly sweet, while the whipped cream filling was light, airy, and pleasantly smooth. What really stood out though was the donut itself because it was soft, fluffy, and fresh. The freshness was obvious from the first bite. The donut had that perfect texture--light and airy inside while still substantial enough to hold all of those toppings. It managed to feel indulgent without becoming heavy. Even the atmosphere here adds to the experience. Standing outside with a fresh donut and coffee in hand while watching the steady stream of customers come and go gives you the feeling that you've discovered a local favorite rather than a chain trying to imitate one. If you're the type who usually grabs a plain glazed donut and moves on, this is the place that might convince you to branch out. Between the creative flavors, fresh ingredients, and consistently delicious execution, it's easy to see why people line up in the morning. Some donuts satisfy a craving, these donuts create one!
