Not sure what the hype's about.. came here on a Saturday at 8:30am and they were out of their blueberry donuts, so I got their next best selling donuts according to them, the chocolate oreo and m&m donuts. Neither really were anything out of the ordinary. Dry donuts. Came again at 11:35PM on Saturday and waited at the drive through for 30 minutes (still hating myself for doing so). The line got stuck at one car for over 10 minutes... Blueberry donuts were not worth the wait... they're $3.50 each. I think the fact that they're a bit crispy is what makes people hype them up. Took my boyfriend here as this was one of my favorite spots when I used to live in OC. The only caveat about this place is how ridiculously long the line gets every night it opens. We arrived right before 9PM when it was scheduled to open and there was already a line formed cutting through the parking lot that is shared with a grocery store. There is a walk up line that you can order from but drive through seems to be the most favored. Even with being 5 minutes early, we still waited about 40 minutes with only six cars in front of us. I feel like for the price point and how good the donuts actually are, I don't know if I can justify the wait time. I know it's a couple who run the whole show but if I plan on coming back I definitely will try to come earlier since waiting after the open is a pain. So I stuck to the plan, woke up early, drove to Anaheim - when I got there (right when they opened) there was 1 car in front of me. The glaze on the blueberry donuts is so thin, light, and not too sweet, whereas the actual cake donut itself resembles almost like a fresh blueberry muffin. There is no artificial flavor at all, and you can really taste the freshly baked blueberries! It was a delightful donut, and I easily ate 2 of them in a row and I don't generally like cake donuts at all! I visited this infamous donut drive thru twice in the same weekend. First time was a Friday night at 9:42pm and we waited over two hours in line only to be told they could only sell us six blueberry cake donuts. Yes, six pieces. Imagine our shock and disappointment. The donuts came in a pizza box, they were warmish-hot with the glaze shiny and wet. They were thick, with a nice crunch on the outside and moist dough on the inside. I was pleasantly surprised how not overly sweet they were (my halmoni would approve).
