I honestly have no idea what was going through my head when I decided to have breakfast here. The only reason I stopped by was because my wife was getting her hair done nearby and I needed somewhere to kill some time. Big mistake. I ordered a sausage egg cheese bagel and an iced black coffee. First of all, the amount of cheese on the bagel was laughable. I had to double check that there was actually cheese in it. Second, the price is absolutely ridiculous. A bagel and an iced black coffee came out to almost $15. For what? It felt more like getting robbed than buying breakfast. To make things worse, the service was far from professional. The lady with glasses came across as cold and uninterested. She just made the whole experience even more uncomfortable. Overall, this was a very unpleasant visit. There are plenty of better places nearby that offer better food, better service, and better value. I definitely won't be coming back. I drive past Modoo all the time while working in the area and have heard they have great donuts! It's a small place but it was easy to find parking. Inside they have the usual long glass pastry case with lots of donut options. It was quiet and empty in the store when I went, but people say you should get here early for the best choice of fresh donuts. I chose to try a chocolate chip roll (I think that was its name). My pictures show what I had. It is soft on the inside and topped with chocolate, packed full of chocolate chips. There is a cinnamon flavor inside as well! This was very good and quite a large donut! All the donuts were nice and fresh and the crowd was building before the rain. I got a mixed donut plus one ham n cheese, one jalapeño ham and cheese and another cream cheese croissant. Stand out flavors raspberry fritter (looks just like an Apple fritter), French crueler, sprinkle donut, pink glazed, red velvet. I was very surprised at how good the donuts were. This hidden gem is located in a strip mall. I've never struggled to find parking, but take that with a grain of salt, since I usually go in the evenings after work. The store itself is really clean (very cute little mom & pop establishment), and we've had our cream puffs in-store prior to COVID. These days, we normally select a box to-go (they offer additional savings if you get 6, 12, or 18 and there's an evening special as well!), since we don't live in the area. We popped in around 8 PM last Saturday to pick-up some donuts for our friend's birthday celebration, and the blueberry cake donuts were a huge hit. We got an assortment of 18, and the owner kindly threw 3 in for free on top of the evening deal! Definitely will go back for smoothies which Boba can be added for .$50 more. The customer service was kind and prompt so we didn't have to wait long for assistance. They seemed at full staff for a Sunday morning. I had read about the Cream Puffs so we bought four at .$50 each. They were very good. The dough nice and soft with a slightly sweetened thicker whipped cream inside. The outside had lots of powdered sugar so I'm glad the filling wasn't overly sweet. We enjoyed them! They do keep them refrigerated. I purchased one Blueberry cake donut and one Chocolate cake w/chocolate icing and nuts. The blueberry was very moist, loaded with flavor. It also had a light icing drizzled over it. Truly worth every calorie. My caked donuts were nice and thick. My chocolate caked donut was very good as well. I thought it was just a tad bit dry compared to the blueberry donut, but still yummy. My husband bought a blueberry caked donut and a Boston Creme. He said he thoroughly enjoyed each one and thought the Boston Crème had plenty of filling. Also we usually have a tummy ache after eating donuts and they revisit us throughout the day, but these have not upset our stomachs which is a very good thing. Aaron was the employee who served my daughter and I upon our first time here, at this shopping center. We just happened to be curious, "what is in this place"? My daughter ordered their Honeydew Smoothie which cost $5 and was a large and explosively delicious, smooth and maybe it was powder but it was blended well in their Ninja blender. We saw in their mini display section, a sign that read "$4.99 cream puffs for a dozen", so we were curious to try it because we heard they were good. Hence, the employee was surprised we never tried them? Each cream puff alone is .50 but he so was confident we would want more, he allowed us to taste it. My daughter and I bit into it and were surprised to find, it had a cold texture we bit into inside that wasn't so sugary and the outside was dry like a donut but moist. Ultimately, we wanted more and ordered the dozen! Aaron, thank you for being so welcoming to these new customers that we had to post this compliment to you and this MooDoo Donut place.
