A late-night spot I had bookmarked for a while, and we finally had the chance to go after a concert! They sell a variety of desserts like brownies, cheesecakes, and crepes with different toppings. We got the Lotus cheesecake and the Fruity Pebble crepe. The cheesecake was very smooth and rich; the Biscoff topping gave it an additional yummy crunch along with the cheesecake's original crust. My personal favorite was the crepe, as it was actually stuffed with strawberries and Nutella. The Fruity Pebbles gave it a great crunch and complemented the crepe really well. The only concern was the ice cream add-on (which was an additional $4), since it seemed to be low quality (very icy and the vanilla flavoring tasted a bit fake). I think whipped cream would be a better replacement, but I'm not sure if it's something they offer. We'd probably forgo the ice cream next time. I feel like that's to be expected considering this place is called the chocolate spot, however, I did not really feel like there was a balance. When I saw how they assembled my crepe...they put in basically a whole carton inside! I have small hands so about 2 of my handfuls. And it took a bit for them to make it and after receiving it was much worth it. My crepe was $19+$2 for the raspberries and this honestly looked AND TASTED to be worth more than $30 at most places. My bf and friend got the chocolate Dubai strawberry cup and it so amazing. The chocolate wasn't too sweet and each bite had a nice balance of crunch, sweet, and silky smooth. The Dubai brownie was the best I've had. The ice cream was so soft but they gave us the wrong flavor (we ordered cookie dough, they gave us vanilla). Other than that the brownie was very warm and tasted like hot fudge. The pistachio butter they gave is a dark green which I have not seen before. It tasted very good and REAL. All I have to say is, they know what they're doin over here. We ordered the Dubai strawberries and Dubai style vanilla ice cream (3 scoops in a waffle cone bowl topped with pistachio cream, knafa, chocolate). The strawberries were averagely priced, 18$ similar to what you would expect from other establishments selling similar items. The ice cream was 12$, which was more than enough for 1 person, I personally was not able to finish it myself. I've only gotten dubai strawberries from Chocolate Bash and the OC Fair and can surely say that this place has much more pistachio cream and knafa than them. I appreciate how late the store closes, we came around 12:45am and there were a few new customers coming in every few minutes or so.
