I don't like pastries or desserts that are too sweet or heavy but their donuts are light, fluffy, airy and not too sweet and not too oily. They have both cake donuts and the regular fluffy kind of donuts and both kinds are so good. I just came here for a little Sunday pick me up, we got 4 donuts 2 ham and cheese croissant one with jalapeños , and a Vietnamese coffee all for under $25. We sat inside to enjoy our warmed up croissants and it was so delicious paired with the Vietnamese coffee. If you want a little spice try the one with jalapeños! It's a cute little donut shop on the corner of Brookhurst and Lincoln. They have a few tables inside. I saw their menu has breakfast deals smoothies and much more besides donuts and coffee. While being in there, a man came in maybe under the influence demanding ice and they handled the situation in a calming matter to make the other customers feel safe and comfortable to prevent the man from getting further agitated as he already was before coming in. CASH ONLY - ATM INSIDE Came here on a slow Monday afternoon for a quick pick-me-up after a friend suggested this donut shop in Orange County. This friend is always on point with her food and drink recommendations, so I didn't take the recommendation lightly; I was off to the races. I had another Yelp event at Hapa cupcakes in Fullerton, so this Brookhurst / Anaheim location of Granny's donuts was perfectly en route on my way back home! There seem to be other locations in Orange County, one in Garden Grove and another in Costa Mesa. I wanted to try the basics first, so I gave the raised powdered sugar and brown sugar crumble donuts, which were just $1 each! Added a milk tea with boba which was prepared in a flash and I was ready to go in a jiffy. The donuts were airy and fluffy and I had sugar all over my face the moment I sat down in my car (no, one donut didn't make it home). Stopped by this hole in the wall on the last day of a conference because I saw a sign for smoothies while heading to breakfast. The sign is a bit misleading, I wouldn't say they had a huge selection of smoothies. In fact I ended up getting a taro bubble tea, which I was more excited about than a smoothie. The taro bubble tea smoothie was AWFUL!! I've had some mediocre taro before but this was terrible and the boba was flavorless and probably had been sitting out for quite a while! I did however decide to order some doughnuts (while I waited for the smoothie) for my wife since the reviews were so great. I ended up with a cake doughnut with chocolate frosting and a twist... I packed them into Tupperware and flew back to DC with them and they were eaten that night (at 16+ hours after purchase) and my wife raved about them!!
