Their donuts are great and smoothies , but what brings me back each time is their breakfast bagel sandwich. Been coming to this donut shop since 2009, when I started working nearby. At first I used to order their turkey sandwiches which are amazing, they dont skim on the turkey. Next I tried their gauge egg and cheese sandwhich with jalapenos, andit has become my favorite thing to eat for breakfast I've introduced vandys to many friends and they are also hooked on their sandwiches. To this day I get ready to work earlier and head to vandys for their bagel sandwhich. Friendly owners and they already know what I want when i walk in to their shop. I've had really good fancy donuts in Las Vegas that were amazing in their own right, but Vandy's makes Old School donuts so well that they're just melt in your mouth yumminess!! I've tried them all, you can't go wrong with any you pick! I am a bit partial to the big Crumb Twists, aaaahhh yummy, and their Rainbow Sprinkles, my favorite childhood donut that I couldn't find a copy for, Eureka!!!! I've finally found the perfect twin! Their chocolate cake donuts, vanilla & chocolate glazed, AND dozen flavors of Breakfast Sandwiches are also SUPER YUMMY!!! My only critique would be the jelly donuts.... not that the donut itself isn't amazing but the filling is a fruit gel-like stuff that isn't a real fruit filling or jelly=bummer! BUT, if there's fresh unfilled ones when you go, you can ask to have the regular glazed or powdered ones filled with custard=YES YES YES!!! I'm literally addicted to this place!! I accidently discovered this wonderful donut and sandwich shop on the way home from my chiropractor. Between his adjustments and Vandy's doughnuts, I felt so much better. The friendly greeting from both ladies behind the counter and the signs showing their sandwiches were a real motivation to return. And return we did. I bought my wife back and we had a delicious lunch with their sandwiches. She had a croissant pastrami sandwich and I had a turkey one on a bagel. They were outstanding in every way. The price was reasonable and the quantity of meat and garnishes made sure you did not leave hungry. They also offer a wide selection of freshly made drinks and coffees. Crullers galore and plenty of beverages to choose from. You won't find anything really unique about Vandy, like all the donut shops around here they stick to the traditional stuff. I've been wondering if all the shops around here buy donut mix from the same donut mix guy 'cause it all tastes the same. Just stopped by this place today around 10:30am and was greeted by a woman as soon as I walked in. A kind man helped me w my order of half a dozen donuts that were $4.95, an extra donut, and a medium coffee. My total was $7.50, and I'd say it was worth every penny. I love this place! Its a block away from my home and I go there often, more so before than now. But not because of their service or product but only because im trying to watch what I eat. My first time here. I must say the guy who works here is so friendly. I felt welcomed. He had a smile on his face! I have been to the other donut shop down the street (across from mcdonalds) and they were not friendly like Vandy donuts. I will come to Vandy from no on. Their donuts are delicious!!! I looked on yelp to find the best donuts with 5 stars this morning I was really excited to find this place and read all the reviews. However when I ordered a jelly donut and a ham and cheese croissant the man charged me on my credit card for only the ham and cheese and told me he had to charge me $.50 for the purchase because my purchase was under $10. That is fine .when he forgot my jelly doughnuthe told me he didn't put it on the first charge so he was going to charge me another additional $.50 to re-charge my card for something he forgot. The man standing in line behind me got so frustrated he just went ahead and paid for it himself.then when I got my croissant and started eating it it was cold with barely any cheese even though they said they warmed it and the raspberry jelly filled doughnut was just artificial Jelly.not one sign of a real raspberry in there.
