Honestly, best donuts in town! Been coming for over 8 years, and they've stayed consistently amazing. We used to be die-hards for Jax Donuts in La Habra, but I would happily make the drive to this Donut Star in Fullerton. Their classic old-fashioned, double chocolate, crumb, and blueberry donuts are some of the best we've ever tried. They always have a great selection, too. And don't forget the milk! The "mean" woman who works here has always been so kind to me. She remembers me when I come in, asks how I'm doing. I can tell she works incredibly hard and puts in long hours. They have all the classic, original donuts here that'd you find when going to a donut shop (donut holes, maple bars, old fashion, glazed, sprinkles, etc etc). They've been at this location for YEARS and the service is always friendly and quick. The indoor seating is nice and they have milk, coffee, and other beverages that you can buy there too to pair with your donuts. There is no indoor restroom however and that's just something to note. This review is purely for the service. I came in planning to buy a bunch of donuts. First I wanted a few donut holes so I asked the employee how much they are. This lady, in her 50s or so, was rude to say the least. She was wearing a mask so all I heard was mumbles from across the high display. I couldn't make out the words so I asked a second time. She got irritated quickly and pointed to the menu above her head. I'm like, OK fine I'll look. But I didn't see them listed. I asked her where on the menu does it say "donut holes"? She mumbled some more which I still could not understand, but basically she was visibly agitated that I was asking a simple question that she could've just said "$1" or whatever rather than throwing tantrums like I was bothering her. I'm sorry, is this a bad time? Is there a good time for a customer to ask you how much something is? There were no other customers in there! I finally heard some words she said to me, along the lines of: "You asked me I answered you I don't know what you want." Huh!? When did you even answer me? I never got a direct, simple answer to a simple question. I got so annoyed I walked out without buying anything. Just wow. I haven't experienced rude customer service like this in a long time. A colleague of mine brought donuts from Donut Star one day and it was soooo good. I didn't realize DS is a chained company but I'm pretty sure this location makes it better than the others. I've frequented this place a few times in the last month and everything I've tried has been delicious! Their donuts have a dense cake-like texture, some are soft on the inside and other ones have unique flavors. A few favorites are maple/glazed buttermilk, crumb tiger tail, chocolate sprinkle over a round chocolate donut...etc.!
