Churro waffles were definitely something to come back for! Wish I discovered this place sooner! But so glad I trusted my friend's judgment on this spot. From the outside it looks trendy and maybe even gimmicky. We have ordered this twice so far through Uber Eats on a Sunday morning. The first time, we tried the Famoso burrito and the chilaquiles burrito. Both come with some fresh chips and a side of salsa. I've been to Cafe Cultura before and never had an issue, but this visit was honestly disappointing. While my wife was ordering, I stepped away to use the restroom. When I came back, I sat at an open table to wait--there was no one there and nothing indicating it was reserved. A server then came up and told me I had to get up because the table was reserved. It wasn't just what was said, but how it was handled. Being asked to move like that in front of others felt embarrassing and unnecessary, especially as a returning customer. I'm also diabetic, and during the situation I started to feel faint. Instead of feeling welcomed or accommodated, I felt uncomfortable enough that my wife and I decided to leave without ordering. I understand if a table is reserved, but there should be clear signage or a better way to communicate that. The churro waffles had the perfect mix of crisp and soft, and the bananas foster pancakes were rich without being too sweet. There was a bit of a wait for the food, but the chef surprised us with a waffle on the house to apologize. We didn't ask for it, and we really appreciated the kind gesture. We were in the area and found this place on yelp while trying to decide where to eat. Upon arrival the place is very cute & nicely decorated. It's not table service so you'll order at the front and then seat yourself which was nice. It wasn't busy + it was a nice day so we sat in their patio. Ordered a bottle of champagne which came with two very very small carafes of orange juice.. consider being more generous with the plain OJ when customers order a bottle. Also ordered the licuado pancho pantera which was SO good and flavorful! For food my man got the churro pancakes with a side of eggs, he rates the pancakes 6/10 I got the breakfast torta which was soooo good. So filling and flavorful. My partner doesn't drink caffeine, but they tried the horchata decaf latte and were genuinely impressed (which says a lot). The flavor was there, but it tasted like the cinnamon was added after cooking and then left on the grill a bit too long, giving it a slightly burnt finish. That said, everything we saw coming out to other tables looked amazing. It honestly made us excited to come back and try more of the menu. TLDR: Amazing food and lattes! I found this place online when I was looking for somewhere to get a breakfast burrito. Everything on their menu sounds good, but I decided on a horchata latte, a bean and cheese burrito, and the vegan breakfast burrito. All three items were excellent! The horchata latte is one of the best I've ever had, with a strong horchata flavor and topped with cinnamon and almonds. The bean and cheese burrito is crusted with a toasted cheese exterior and comes with a yummy salsa. Finally, the vegan breakfast burrito is packed with soyrizo, vegan egg, and potatoes and was so delicious. The chips that it comes with are really fresh and crispy as well. I am already dreaming of coming back to try more and get that breakfast burrito again! The cafe itself is very cute with ample seating, but the parking lot is pretty small and can fill up. read more

I love Cafe Cultura! I usually get the Chipotle steak quesadilla or the Famoso breakfast burrito. This time I got the steak quesadilla and the Rompope latte. One thing I will say is that Cafe Cultura is always consistent, and consistently delicious at that! I love that they provide dipping sauces with their meals as well! The steak in the steak quesadilla is tender and good quality meat. The flavor of the chipotle sauce they use is flavorful and savory. Their coffee drinks are very good also. In the past I have had the Abuelita Latte and loved it. This time the Rompope latte was okay but not super flavorful. It was advertised as having Mexican eggnog which I could not detect any flavor of that in my drink. So here I was pulling my husband in, I won him with espresso coffee. I would wish they gave more of the tres leches liquid. The amount they give is very little and while I ate the pancakes, they were dry. Cashier was already announcing to new customers that kitchen was closing or closed so I didn't feel right in asking for more or some syrup to finish the pancakes at least. Now with that, pancakes tasted average, nothing special as what I was expecting. But we did enjoy the coffees. They do have High chairs and they do have a parking lot, but not too big. It is limited. The wife and I shared a plate of chilaquiles, which are some of the best I've ever had. We also shared a plate of Abuelita pancakes with our friend. I had read the description and thought they would be sickeningly sweet but they were perfectly sweet and cooked to perfection too. There was ample searing, both inside and out. We sat outside to enjoy the rainy weather under the pergola. Although the outside seating was along the driveway of the business center it's in, it wasn't overly noisy. The dulce de leche latte also was a little stronger and not as sweet as the one in Santa Ana. Idk Maybe the cook just had an off day? It happens. The parking is a small lot but FREE and that's a lot better than Santa Ana. Both locations are small, a few tables inside and outside. The service was great though. Cashier was helpful and polite.
