Banana Blast Latte with Soy Milk!
    Canary H.

Ryo Coffee & Tea is located in Fullerton! It was quite easy to pull over and park here for a quick coffee fix. There are a couple of parking spots in front of the store, on the street. I'm not sure if there is a parking lot or any other parking spots nearby. Upon walking inside, it was bustling with other patrons playing a card game. It was nice to see liveliness inside the cafe on a calm morning. I can see how this place would be a hit with the college students. They offered pastries and ramen noodles for patrons, which would be the perfect hang out or study meal. We ordered on the kiosk and got to look at their drinks with pictures next to it. I opted to try their banana blast latte that was a bit over $6 in price. We sat down and waited quite a bit for our drinks. There was only one person manning the front, so it was understandable. He was very kind and approachable when we had ordered. My banana blast was definitely banana. I actually got soy milk as an alternative and I could taste that, too. The best part is amidst the banana and soy milk, I could also taste the coffee. Not bad! We would definitely come back to try their other drinks whenever we're in the area!

I came across this spot on social media and bookmarked it for the next time I was in the area. We happened to be nearby, so I knew we had to give it a try and I'm glad we did! Ordering was easy through the kiosk, and I appreciated that the menu highlighted the best sellers and recommended customizations. We ordered: * Banana Matcha Cloud * Matcha Bliss * Banana Blast Latte (recommended with oat milk and vanilla cold foam--trust the recommendation!) * Mango Breeze Every single drink was delicious. The flavors were well-balanced, refreshing, and exactly what we were hoping for. The Banana Blast Latte with oat milk and vanilla cold foam was especially good. The drinks came out quickly, the prices were reasonable, and the overall experience was smooth from start to finish. We'll definitely be back to try more of the menu. Highly recommend if you're in the area!

Stumbled into RYO near Cal State Fullerton and instantly understood why people keep talking about it. The vibe is super chill, fun, and has that perfect college-town energy where everyone seems to be either studying, catching up with friends, or hunting for the perfect Instagram photo. I ordered the Banana Matcha, and wow!! it was smooth, rich, creamy, and somehow tasted like a matcha and banana decided to become best friends. The inside is also designed perfectly for a quick photo op with your drink..so don't be surprised if you leave with both caffeine and new profile pictures Great drinks..cool atmosphere.. and definitely worth a visit.. I'll absolutely be back for another matcha adventure.

It really gives off mom & pop vibes. It was nice seeing the interactions of the students who came to support the owner (who teaches at fullerton college and now owns Ryo Tea). The owner is also really funny. When the drinks came out, he jokingly said "don't even ask me which one is the ube". The ube was really strong and the matcha itself was yummy. It is on the sweeter side. The london fog was light but good.

This place is one of my favorite places to get a Hojicha latte!!!! This place has great vibes, clean, easy to find, and service is always great! If I could, I'd come here everyday!

There's a kiosk at the front, but you can also order directly with the cashier. There's plenty of seating inside, making it a good spot to study or get some work done. The Uba Matcha Cloud with ube coconut milk was really good, though it was on the sweeter side. I wish there had been an option to adjust the sweetness level. The Creamy Matcha wasn't as creamy as I expected, but it did have that rich, slightly chalky matcha texture. I just wish it had been a bit creamier overall.

I never realized how close this place is to Fullerton community college! You're in for a treat if you go to school there. They specialize in their matcha drinks I believe, but I'm personally not the biggest fan of matcha. So, I got their phoenix milk tea, which is actually dairy-free! They use a non-dairy creamer and oolong tea, which you can really taste in the drink! I got 50% sweet to get more of the tea flavor, but if you want it a little sweeter, definitely do 100% sweetness. I also got their crystal boba with the drink, which has to be one of the tastiest crystal boba pearls I've ever had! You do order from a mini screen, but the service was very good when they bring your drinks out. The shop itself is pretty small and they do have board games for you to play as well. I'm happy I finally got to try this place!

    Waiting area

This place was easy to find as it is facing the busy street of Chapman Ave and it is right across the street from Fullerton College. Parking was easy to find, as there is parking in the back, behind the building. And you can park in front of the street if there is any available. When I got there they were a bit busy as it was a long line in front of me. I saw one of the QR codes that said "order online and pick up in store." So I ordered on line and finished my order before actually getting to the self order kiosk and it gave me a pick up time. As I was taking my pictures and waiting, I noticed that the girls behind me in line got their order even before my order was called out. As my pick up time was approaching, I went to go check on my order. And it was already done just waiting in the back. I am not sure how the pick up ordering service works, but I am pretty sure they usually have drinks finished before a pick up time. I felt like I waited all this time when my drink was already ready. I really enjoyed the Phoenix milk tea. Oolong milk tea is one of my favorites. I also like how this is one of the few drinks where you can make adjustments. I am not too sure about the texture of the Boba, as it is not your regular round tapioca balls. I wanted to try the genmaicha latte because I was curious how it would taste in latte form because I drink genmaicha tea everyday. I like how they notify you that this is not a Matcha drink. But when I ordered it, I got Matcha foam on top.The drink is very genmaicha forward. And when you mix in the matcha cream foam, you get hints of that matcha upon every sip. It was delicious and I loved it! I like the ambience of this place. It has a very modern feel with a few tables and chairs as well as benches where you can sit and hang out. They also have some games for you to play while you are waiting or if you want to hang out with friends. It is also a nice study place as it is quiet inside. Very helpful for those students across the street. Definitely a place I would like to try again.

I got the Phoenix Milk Tea and liked that it had a strong tea flavor. I personally wish it was a bit sweeter, but I tend to prefer sweeter drinks, so if you like something more balanced or less sweet, you'd probably enjoy it as is. The service was good and the cashier was friendly. Parking was in the back, but it was a bit tricky to find at first since it's tucked away in the area.

Nice service. Good seating area that was a clean and had board games for guest use. Friend got a chocolate croissant. Banana Latte was good but a tad sweet for my preference. Still great coffee flavor.

This coffee shop offers a unique and delicious selection of drinks! My personal favorite is the Almond Delight Latte with Black Sesame Cold Foam! The shop is cute and comfortable great for any occasion! Located across FCC, it makes a fantastic place to study! The baristas have always been friendly and helpful!

I ordered three drinks, and they came out pretty quickly even though the place was busy. It's a nice little spot to study, and parking was very easy with a lot in the back. The Sesame Bliss was good, but I was hoping for a stronger black sesame flavor or a bit more cold foam overall. It felt a little subtle compared to what I expected. The Banana Blast Latte was the standout for me, with a really nice banana flavor that didn't taste artificial. I also ordered the Phoenix Milk Tea with boba. The oolong tea itself was very light in flavor, but the boba was great and perfectly chewy. For the price, it definitely wasn't bad, and I'd try more menu items if I'm in the area.

Came here to get a little work done during the day with my husband, and it was such a great spot! It is super close to Cal state Fullerton convenient for students! There's parking both in the back and on the street. The café itself is really cute with plenty of seating. It is perfect for studying, working, or just hanging out. Ordering on a tablet, which quick and easy. I ordered the pistachio matcha latte, and my husband got the banana milk latte. Both were incredible! The pistachio matcha was SO green and so flavorful. The pistachio blended perfectly with the matcha, giving it a nutty yet still earthy balance. The foam on top was creamy, thiccc and delicious! My husband's banana latte was also amazing! The banana flavor tasted natural, not artificial at all, and it complemented the coffee really well. We'll definitely be coming back to try more of their drinks!

I ordered the blueberry lavender matcha with oat milk and banana toffee foam, and we also got the coconut cloud matcha with chunky coconut water. The coconut cloud matcha was by far the creamiest, most delicious, perfectly made matcha I've ever had. It was so good I wanted to go back and re-rate every other matcha review I've written. We didn't try any of the snacks or desserts. They just didn't look very appealing, and the cooler where the desserts were kept seemed dirty and not well maintained. The vibe inside was nice. Several tables were full of people catching up with friends, while others were working or studying. It felt relaxed and welcoming. That said, there are two things that are a poor reflection of the café--and both are easily fixed. First, we asked for a small splash of additional coconut water to top off the drink. The staff told us we would need to order a whole new drink for that. Every other place I've been would have handled such a simple request without issue. Second, the café needs better cleaning and organization. The bathroom looked like a public beach bathroom--it was really bad and honestly disgusting. I walked in just to wash my hands and was shocked at how dirty it was. In the hallway there's also a big pile of supplies just thrown together that looks messy and unsightly. The matcha was outstanding, but the cleanliness and the inflexibility on a tiny request left a sour note.

Just be aware of parking signs in the area. There is a good amount of seating inside but availability can be limited during busy times. There are two screens people can order from or if you have cash, you can order at the register. In addition to their drinks, there are some various food options such as muffins, spam musubis, and a breakfast burrito. We ordered a double matcha, matcha einspanner, and a breakfast burrito w bacon to share. The drinks were decent but I've had a better matcha einspanner elsewhere. We had to wait a bit until our burrito was heated or made. It was surprisingly pretty good!

There was matcha powder on top, but absolutely no matcha filling inside. I'm not sure if they changed the recipe or simply missed the filling in ours, but for something sold as a matcha cruffin, I expected an actual matcha presence beyond the topping. The Three Cheese Bagel, made with cheddar, cream cheese, and mozzarella, had good flavor but the texture was much too hard. We were dining in and had it warmed up, yet the bread was still tough and the cheese inside had already hardened. Service was fine, but nothing stood out.
