I personally wish it was a bit sweeter, but I tend to prefer sweeter drinks, so if you like something more balanced or less sweet, you'd probably enjoy it as is. Came here to get a little work done during the day with my husband, and it was such a great spot! It is super close to Cal state Fullerton convenient for students! There's parking both in the back and on the street. The café itself is really cute with plenty of seating. It is perfect for studying, working, or just hanging out. Ordering on a tablet, which quick and easy. I ordered the pistachio matcha latte, and my husband got the banana milk latte. Both were incredible! The pistachio matcha was SO green and so flavorful. The pistachio blended perfectly with the matcha, giving it a nutty yet still earthy balance. The foam on top was creamy, thiccc and delicious! My husband's banana latte was also amazing! I ordered three drinks, and they came out pretty quickly even though the place was busy. It's a nice little spot to study, and parking was very easy with a lot in the back. The Sesame Bliss was good, but I was hoping for a stronger black sesame flavor or a bit more cold foam overall. It felt a little subtle compared to what I expected. The Banana Blast Latte was the standout for me, with a really nice banana flavor that didn't taste artificial. I also ordered the Phoenix Milk Tea with boba. The oolong tea itself was very light in flavor, but the boba was great and perfectly chewy. For the price, it definitely wasn't bad, and I'd try more menu items if I'm in the area. read more

I've been eyeing this place for a while and finally got to check it out since I was in the area. It's a small cafe with minimal seating, but still a nice place to hang out with friends or study if you get lucky with seating. We didn't get much staff interaction since we ordered on a kiosk, but service was prompt and efficient. I ordered the genmaicha latte (at 75% sweetness), which is a Japanese roasted brown rice green tea. This drink has a distinct nutty and roasted flavor which reminds me of hojicha, but a lot stronger. Wanted a really nice coffee and found this place on Yelp! There are street parking right in front of the store and there were also additional parking in the back. Ordering was super easy on the pad and I ended up getting the Caramel Bliss which had cold foam and caramel drizzle. I've been on a lifelong hunt to find the perfect hojicha dealer and Ryo Coffee & Tea is definitely a top contender. I ordered both the iced and hot versions, and while this is a rare occurrence, I think I fancy their iced version more. I even added sesame cold foam, subbed oat milk, had light ice, and modified sweetness to 75%. I think it could even be lowered to 30 - 50% and still be perfect. Came back here on the weekend for their 1 Year Anniversary celebration, so we were able to participate in their bogo deal and get one matcha for free! The workers here are very friendly, welcoming, and kind. We both got the Creamy Matcha. I didn't make any adjustments to the sweetness. It was very yummy! The flavor was strong and creamy like the name suggests. I also appreciate the size of their drinks and how they don't put too much ice. *Note: TDLR at the end of the review Sesame Bliss: 8/10 Has double espresso, but you have the option for 1 shot espresso as well. I got the double shot and ofc it was very strong. It has a nice subtle sesame flavor, but not super apparent when mixed. The sesame foam itself is super thick and it's sweet with a strong sesame flavor. Coffee is on the sweeter side and it's creamy especially when mixed. Just to note, it does take a little bit of time to mix because the foam is so thick. Service: 8/10 The two women at the front seemed pretty busy. Not really any service because I used the little screen at the front, but drink came out fast. Ambiance: 6/10 I came around 9am and the music was super loud. Not particularly my favorite thing first thing in the morning. Aesthetically, it's cute, sleek, and clean. Very very limited seating. A better hangout spot than study spot. It's right across Fullerton College and parking was remotely easy. There's a couple street spots, but I parked in the parking lot in the back. It wasn't very clear to me if I was allowed to park in the parking lot next to them but based on the signs I think you can (Chapman Ave and Lawrence Ave). I also wasn't sure how to access it when I was going down Chapman Ave, but I believe you can access it from E Wilshire Ave. Service: I used the iPad to place my order. They made my drink pretty quickly despite how many orders they had in person + delivery services! Ambiance: the store itself is very cozy, limited indoor seating as well as outdoor seating. There were some people with laptops studying, but I can see how it can quickly fill up! Great study Café for a quick coffee pick up spot in Fullerton. The owner is always here to greet you with a smile. It sometimes gets backed up when it gets busy, but I don't mind :) They have lots of indoor seating tables with a few outdoor patio seating. The parking is in the lot behind the store or you can do short term street parking. I love their Sakura Matcha latte. I think it's their seasonal drink. I get full sweet. Vanilla latte with oat milk is also a great option. I like how they keep the shop super casual with lots of seating. It's a good place to work out of or sit and yap. As many other yelpers have reviewed, their phoenix oolong really does taste somewhat similar to the beloved, now closed Orobae in Irvine. Orobae was hands-down my favorite milk tea. It's similar but i wouldn't say it's an exact replica of Orobae's version. Good alternative and also very reasonable pricing! The only thing i would comment on is that the boba was a bit harder. Not as soft as I would've liked so I think they could improve on making their boba. I'll come back to try their Sesame latte. read more

I started ordering my drinks for delivery since we started home renovations -- my search started and stopped with Ryo. I mean just look at the paper filter to keep the drinks from leaking? We love thoughtful packaging. I make my own oat milk strawberry matcha lattes every morning since it can get pricey to buy one on the daily and was worried I would be hard pressed to find a suitable replacement for the time being, but Ryo came throughhh. The coffee, the tea, the matcha, the slushies? Everything slaps. Sweetness and ice levels are adjustable, I'm pretty happy with 75% and less ice.
