I've always had good experiences at Sunright, so I was disappointed by my first visit to the Fullerton location. I ordered the Sunright Boba Milk Tea through the self-order kiosk, which normally comes with boba. When I received my drink, I noticed there wasn't any boba in it. I waited until someone was available to ask, and the employee told me they were out of boba. My issue wasn't that they had run out... things happen. It was that there was no indication of this on the kiosk, and no one informed me before making my drink. I've had a similar situation at another Sunright location in DTLA when they were out of boba, but they let me know before preparing my order so I could decide whether I still wanted the drink or wanted to change it. That's the kind of customer service I was expecting. When I mentioned that I wished I'd known before ordering, the employee apologized, but it felt so dismissive, as though it wasn't really a concern and they wanted to get back to what they were doing. If you're out of a core ingredient like boba, especially at a boba shop, there should be a notice on the kiosk or customers should be told before their drinks are made. A good spot for boba that's consistent with the other locations. There's a decent amount of parking out front and nearby the store. They have indoor seating available with countertops as well as some more comfortable seating with couches. There's also a shelf with books and games for people to use while in the store. Only 1 of 2 ordering kiosks were working when we were there. The one that was working was on the slower time and took its time to load. I appreciated that this location had a lot of the drink varieties in stock rather than marking them out of stock. The customer service experience was not personal; instead of engaging with a cashier one-on-one, I had to place my order through a screen. This made it challenging to ask for recommendations or to find out what drinks were popular on Yelp. Nevertheless, my drinks were ready in about 8 minutes. I ordered some drinks through uber eats from a further location of this tea house. I do this quite often these days. Hubby asks why I don't order from the ones near our home. I guess I am always so excited from ordering uber eats and forget about checking out the location of the place! LOL I have tried watermelon chamoy frostie, mango yakult and Thai tea with oat milk. I am a Boba addict and have my set list of favorite spots. I can now say this is one of them. The passion fruit green tea with fresh squeezed orange juice is one of the best drinks I've ever had. They're not bad, just sweeter than my preference, but thankfully you can adjust sweetness levels next time, after trying it for the first time. Came here recently for there blanket giveaway. It sits in a weird spot in the plaza next to a Lee's Sandwich but there's plenty of parking around. We were a little early before opening but all the lights were off and the door was open so we thought the building was abandoned or something. I haven't been to Sunright in a while and decided to come in on a hot day to cool down with a nice beverage. Even though you order at the kiosk, this location takes an extremely long time to fulfill orders. I got the mango yakult and the strawberry frostie. The mango drink was refreshing and good, but the strawberry frostie was not good at all. There was no strawberry flavor and it tasted just like the foam despite mixing it. read more

You can get traditional milk tea, fruit tea, cheese cap foam, frostie ice blended, special brulee latte, and coffee. This is the only location where the sweetness of drinks is a hit or miss, depending on the baristas. Generally, other Sunright location's drinks aren't normally super sweet. However, I got a Mango frostie once at 25% sweetness, which still tasted super sweet. I can't imagine what a normal sweetness tastes like. My fave drinks are: - Cheese Foam White Peach Oolong: I like sipping it (unmixed) from the top and gradually mixing it to get a creamier tea taste. - Fresh Taro Frostie: Sunright uses real, fresh taro--none of that artificial purple powder stuff. It's creamy and so satisfying. - Jasmine or Matcha Brulee Latte with Oat Milk: I consider any of the Brulee Latte with Oat Milk series a dessert drink. The special creamy brulee swirls around the cup is decadent and turns the drink sweet. So whenever I order a brulee drink, I always adjust the drink sweetness down to 0% or 25%, otherwise, it'll be overly sweet. (If it isn't sweet enough, you can always ask to get it sweeter). - I prefer Agar boba topping over regular boba because it keeps well in the fridge when I can't finish it. Boba gets hard when it's refrigerated. When I try to order at the register, they always refer me to order at the kiosk. Call me old school, but I still prefer ordering my drinks with a human. This isn't my first time at Sunright Tea Studio for a refreshing sip. My usual go-tos are the Oolong Milk Tea at 25% sweetness or the Brown Sugar Espresso Boba Oat Latte at zero percent sweetness--both safe bets I'd recommend. This is, however, my first time trying their Matcha Milk Tea. I got mine at zero percent sweetness with oat milk (Sunright usually runs sweet for my palette and I wanted to taste the matcha). Right away, the color of the matcha told me this was going to lean more bitter and powdery (like the flavor of culinary matcha). After their recommended 17 shakes, the first sip tasted more like a light green tea with oat milk. Not bad, but since I got it at zero percent sweetness, I was definitely missing that distinct matcha flavor. So, if you're looking for a traditional matcha flavor, I'd skip this one, but I'll still be back for the drinks I know and love. read more

Really cool atmosphere and easy parking in front. Subtracted a star for my visit last month when I unfortunately experienced the annoying kiosk in the back next to the "out of order" bathroom. The touchscreen only works 10% of the time that I used it, but it is one of 2 kiosks, so this effectively leaves only one working kiosk. I didn't know and I wish I just waited in line for the first kiosk instead. Drinks are solid, I got my favorite Mango Frostie, which is my go-to at Sunright. The mango bits are so delicious! And the frostie is so nice on a hot summer day. The service was fast too, which is always a huge plus when the order is fast but accurate. Love that they have a thoughtful station with straws and napkins right next to the area you pick up drinks at. Unfortunately bathroom is out, which probably explains why no one stays in the shop even though their decor is just so darn amazing! Their interior is clean, modern, and well lit. Great boba shop in a super convenient location! Definitely glad that there's a good boba shop in the Anaheim area! I came by on a Saturday afternoon and the shop was busy but not too crowded. There are two order kiosks off to the side where you can place your order. We ordered the Sunright Boba Milk Tea and the jasmine tea jelly, and the Peach Jasmine Tea with boba. For both drinks we got 25% sweet. I really enjoyed the flavor of the milk tea since I could taste the tea pretty well. For both drinks, though, I think they were still much too sweet for 25%. Compared to drinks I'm used to, it tasted more like 75% sweet to me if not more so. For both drinks we added more of our own tea when we got home to balance out the sweetness. As for toppings, I really liked the jasmine tea jelly! It's pretty unique since I don't see tea jellies around much. It had a pretty strong tea flavor which I liked and the jelly wasn't sweet at all, so it added a great balance to the drink.
