The service was great too - I saw the 'free topping Tuesday' sign, but had to ask for help re where to find it... the lady behind the counter was so nice & helpful! The place is kinda booming w music, but it fades into the background after a while.

I hate to say it but this is the worst açaí bowl I've had. The açaí was strange because it was flavorless but at the same time it tasted artificial. The toppings were unenjoyable as they were nearly frozen. The service is odd too with their self check out machine... I was excited to try this place because it got so many reviews but I was disappointed. I ordered a regular size build my own. They had the standard topping options for fruits; however they charge extra for everything else including peanut butter, almond butter, hemp seeds, pumpkin seeds, almonds etc.. at other açaí bowl places they usually come with free toppings. Tasty and fresh, but very expensive for very little acai. I got a small Cali Bowl to share with my boyfriend to satisfy our acai craving, but the actual acai filled less than half of our small bowl. The fruit toppings were fresh, ripe, and delicious, and the acai itself was rich in flavor rather than the icy and overly sweet taste that some places have -- but there was way too little in the bowl. We paid $12 for essentially a bowl of fruit. The girl working at the front was very sweet though, absolutely no problems with service. The inside facilities and seats are well kept and clean! I'm sure that this is a choice that the company makes to be stingy with the acai, with no fault to the workers. Smoothies may be a better option if you choose to come here, since I saw a girl walking out after me with a nice looking smoothie! read more

I would give this place a great review if it weren't for Lexi. Her service was terrible--rude, unprofessional, and outright disrespectful. She insulted me, ignored me while helping customers who arrived after me, and took an excessive amount of time to prepare smoothies. Instead of focusing on her job, she complained about her personal issues and made the experience uncomfortable. Her behavior completely ruined what should have been a positive visit. read more

I was so excited to have an açaí republic close to home. Went to this location for the first time and decided to get a fresh juice. Definitely do not recommend! My green juice wasn't strained & did not taste like a juice at all . Which was a bummer because I was looking forward to it. Decided to stop by on a late Saturday evening for a nice cool treat. It was 30 minutes before closing so I thought maybe the employees would be upset, but the girls were very friendly! Took time with the menu and my questions since it was my first time. As I was waiting I got some complimentary ice water and accidentally dropped my cup. The girl insisted I didn't clean it up multiple times politely. I still did because I felt terrible... but the service was incredible. And the bowls were amazing!!! 10/10 recommend. Also, I bought a spinach and cheese empanada and a chicken empanada ($5.25/each). You have many options when creating a bowl online. I got mine with pitaya as a base with hemp granola, strawberries, blueberries, kiwis, goji berries, diced almonds, pistachio butter, agave, and even bee pollen as toppings. The pitaya bowl was really refreshing and nicely sweet. I appreciated that it wasn't too tart. Combining the kiwis with the pitaya was a great choice. I enjoyed how the kiwis were diced; you'd have enough to chew. The goji berries stuck on my teeth, so I don't plan on getting those next time. It was my first time trying hemp granola, and the earthy flavor didn't quite suit my taste buds. I'd rather choose another type of granola. My most adventurous choice was adding on bee pollen, but I couldn't discern its taste due to lacking a frame of reference. The two other empanadas were adequate. While I didn't eat the chicken empanada, I received feedback that it tasted a little bland. However, I did like the spinach and cheese empanada, though it was a little salty. However, I recommend parking in their parking lot, in the back. That way, you get a view of the garden before you place your order. It's still nice in the front, very welcoming. You walk through the gate, up the stairs, and through the front door. It's nicely air conditioned inside. Indoor seating looks like someone's dining room. The counter is near the back, on the left hand side. I grabbed a menu to take a look before I ordered. Food items listed on one side of the menu, and so many drink options on the other side. Little overwhelming. Too many choices. Coffee and non-coffee drinks. Although they offer paninis and avocado toast, I ordered a regular spicy pork cupbap ($15) and Dubai chocolate latte, iced ($7.75), paid at the counter, and received a pager. When the pager started buzzing, I went inside to pickup my order. My drink was basically a dessert in a cup. Absolutely delicious. So many wonderful ingredients on top. The spicy pork cupbap is spicy. I mixed it all up like I would any bibimbap. It consisted of white rice, glass noodles, red cabbage, pork, and a perfectly fried egg on top. Delicious. They offer a large size, but regular is more than enough. I decided to sit outside, in the back, to get the full garden experience. Although Fullerton is a little warm in June, the garden is absolutely wonderful. It's like sitting in someone's backyard, but on steroids. You shouldn't have trouble finding a spot to sit. There are so many tables and chairs, all over the place, around every corner: In the main garden, in the garden in front, on both sides of the cafe, on both porches, the one in the back and smaller one in front. It's a garden of Eden, with a large, fruitful lemon tree standing in the center. Green plants and trees all over the place, flowering plants and succulents. There's a large gazebo and umbrellas to shade you from the sun. Fun, whimsical displays throughout the garden, including bird houses, curated displays, and miniature communities. Service was welcoming and efficient. I highly recommend this cafe if you're looking for a nice outdoor garden to eat, drink, and hang out.

I've always loved acai bowls but I usually go to the one in HB cause I'm basic. But the other day I finally decided to try out açaí Republic on harbor by hillcrest. About a week and a half ago I met this guy named Robert at hillcrest while I was working out. He recommended his work and since I'm a acai guru I said I'll stop by sometime. So three days ago I went and what do you know the famous Robert from hillcrest was working. He just gave me the chillest, most down to earth vibes at hillcrest. And wow he was the same outgoing, super friendly, and super helpful individual that I met at hillcrest. He had all the best recommendations you could think of. Oh and did I forget to recommend how amazingly delicious this place is. Never going to HB for an acai bowl ever again. This place is right in my hometown and when you get outstanding customer service you definitely keep coming back. So yeah not gunna lie quarantine has made me a little bored I've been everyday for the past three days. Make sure to try this place. The ordering process was convenient, thanks to their wide touch screen. Please note location is cashless. The menu offers a great selection of acai bowls, with sizes ranging from mini to large. Açaí Republic is AMAZINGGGGGG!! Their açaí bowls are never a miss, always fantastic, and so are their smoothies. Their atmosphere is so friendly and cozy! But I really wanted to get into the service today. Last night, I went to go get a Hawaiian Açaí Bowl and I saw another costumer who fainted after ordering. My mom and her mom helped her up on a seat and she was alert. The worker, Thai (i believe thats how you spell it?) came in so calmly and had water prepared and gave her a little cup of honey to raise her sugar level. My personal favorite is the Hawaiian bowl with peanut butter. A helpful thing they do is putting granola on the bottom of ur açaí bowl so you don't have to mix as much!
