Please be careful using The Poke Co rewards app. I had a very concerning experience today involving another customer's personal information. I first discovered The Poke Co about 2-3 months ago. During my first visit, I scanned their barcode and signed up for their rewards program using my phone number. Pretty normal nowadays--restaurants have rewards programs to encourage customers to come back and earn points. Today was only my second time coming back. Before going to the restaurant, I decided to check the app because it was Saturday and I thought there might be a long line. I entered my phone number, received the verification code on MY phone, and successfully logged in. But once I got into the account, I saw someone else's first and last name. At first, I thought maybe it was just some kind of placeholder name like "Jane Doe." But then I looked closer. The account also showed that person's email address, an address in Alabama, and a favorite store in San Francisco. How is another customer's personal information showing up after I verified the account using my own phone number? That seriously concerns me. If rewards accounts are connected to phone numbers, how did my number become associated with someone else's name, email, address, and account information? I don't see why another customer would intentionally enter my phone number when they would need their own number to access their rewards. My natural instinct was to log out and delete the account just to be safe, which I did. And then it got even stranger. Immediately afterward, I received another text message on my phone saying that I had successfully unsubscribed from Cold Stone Creamery. Cold Stone Creamery??? I was using The Poke Co rewards account. At this point, I have no idea what is going on or whether these rewards programs are connected through the same third-party platform. I also don't know whether deleting the account affected the other person's rewards points or account. I'm not claiming to know whether this was a data breach, a technical error, an account-linking problem, or something else. But being able to log in using MY phone number and verification code and then see another person's name, email, address, and other account information is a serious privacy concern. If this happened to me, could someone else potentially log in and see my information too? The Poke Co, please investigate your rewards system and the company operating it. Customers should not be able to see another customer's personal information after logging in with their own phone number. And to other customers: please check your rewards account carefully. If you see information that doesn't belong to you, take screenshots and report it. This is not something that should be happening. read more

I recently tried The Poke Co. As someone who is very selective and partial about poke outside of Hawaii, I can honestly say this is the best poke in the surrounding Fullerton and Brea communities. The service from staff reminded me of the days when employees actually cared and respected their workplace. Super kind, patient, and prompt. Inside the restaurant was clean and spacious. I ordered the medium size bowl. The salmon was incredibly fresh. The portion size is worth every penny in this era of shrink-flation. All of the ingredients were fresh and plentiful. The Poke Co is located in downtown Fullerton in an outdated plaza that has a crazy amount of traffic in the parking lot with dozen of cars all gawking for that one leftover space! Inside the venue, there's a few tables and counter seatings, you place the order (see options on the board) and pick up at the other end of the counter. The staff is friendly and efficient. The yummy rice bowls, spam and Thai iced teas keeps drawing me back despite the parking situation.... Still figuring out the best time, but I know it's not between noon and 2 PM when it's busiest. I got my usual - Chicken bowl (forgot to ask light on sauce), Spam Musubi (my go to snack) and reinforced of grilled Spam is delicious. During summer months, being so hot - ordered a large Thai Iced tea. The Poke Co.'s Thai Iced Tea taste so much better than most Thai restaurants. I kid you not! This is an updated version of my previous review. I've noticed a reoccurring problem with the servers and I wasn't going to rewrite my review until it kept on happening. Also photos attached were from BEFORE we experienced problems. I go to this poke co almost everyday since it's a healthy fast food option and I commute to school in this area. Poke co used to be good a few months ago, but I'm not sure what happened to the servers because it seems that every time I come to order there's always new employees that I usually never see the faces of few weeks later. Poke co is generous with their portion sizes AS LONG AS you don't get a new server with a clear "I don't want to be here" face on. I've encountered this certain employee two times and no smile, unnecessarily slow, and bad portions. Next time if they are serving I'm leaving. I understand that new employees may be a little slow, but I work in the same exact industry and I would've gotten fired if I was still that slow and bad with customer service. I'm not sure if Poke co has positions to work in the back, but if they did there should be no reason why they ran out of green onions. It seems as if the new employees don't know when to restock their items, they were VERY LOW on a lot of their items 2 hours before close. Don't be lazy, do your job. Clean up your bar too, no reason to be slacking off when it's 2 hours before close and 3 other people working front with you. And I'm not trying to be disrespectful, I think this is an amazing business, but your new employees just make it terrible to the point where I won't even order from poke co in fullerton anymore since there's always new employees. They have so many to choose from my friend ordered her and her family some bowls too with Tuna and shrimp, with all the same sides except they added edamame. I really enjoyed my bowl and so did they, I love their selections they have a lot to choose from. It was busy, but signed up with my phone number and got $2 off yay. What stood out to me was they have a variety of proteins like scallop and octopus on top of the regular salmon/tuna options. They have a fun selection of sauces too try for example the OG (orange garlic) and sesame oil to add to my bowl. My server/scooper was super sweet too and was able to mix it the way I like it (cucumbers and onions mixed in with sauce). I wanted something somewhat healthy and this was the best option along those businesses. I was pleasantly surprised to see that the restaurant was clean, had loads of veggie options, and the fish looked fresh. I built my own bowl with salmon and other veggies. The employees were very helpful, making sure that I got as much/or as little sauce as I wanted and made sure I was happy with my bowl before they wrapped it up for me to take it to go. I was helped by Jasmine, who I told to just make anything for this first timer, and my only stipulations were no salmon, and nothing too spicy. What came out was the most memorable, delish poke creation I've ever had.
