Like a lot of poke spots, there were times in the past where the fish portions felt... light. Tiny scoops, lots of rice, and you leave wishing you got what you paid for. That was my early experience, and it kept me from coming as often as I wanted. But something has definitely changed, and in the best way possible. Lately, every single visit has been stacked. I'm talking generous, heaping scoops of fish, perfectly balanced bowls, and portions that actually feel worth the price. You can see it while they're building your bowl, they're not skimping. It's consistent, too, which matters. Nothing worse than loving a spot one day and being disappointed the next. Quality is on point, everything tastes fresh, and the amount of food you get now is honestly impressive. I leave full every time, sometimes with leftovers, which never used to happen. I recently tried The Poke Co. As someone who is very selective and partial about poke outside of Hawaii, I can honestly say this is the best poke in the surrounding Fullerton and Brea communities. The service from staff reminded me of the days when employees actually cared and respected their workplace. Super kind, patient, and prompt. Inside the restaurant was clean and spacious. I ordered the medium size bowl. The salmon was incredibly fresh. The portion size is worth every penny in this era of shrink-flation. All of the ingredients were fresh and plentiful. Really delicious poke. A small with two protein choices was about $16. I like how a scoop of crabmeat and avocado are both complimentary. I got the house sauce with a Hawaiian spicy sauce, and I really enjoyed it. I ordered DoorDash from this restaurant a week ago, and I was very impressed with the presentation and cleanliness of the order when it arrived. The quality of the food was also on point, which is why I came back. The Poke Co is located in downtown Fullerton in an outdated plaza that has a crazy amount of traffic in the parking lot with dozen of cars all gawking for that one leftover space! Inside the venue, there's a few tables and counter seatings, you place the order (see options on the board) and pick up at the other end of the counter. The staff is friendly and efficient. The yummy rice bowls, spam and Thai iced teas keeps drawing me back despite the parking situation.... Still figuring out the best time, but I know it's not between noon and 2 PM when it's busiest. I got my usual - Chicken bowl (forgot to ask light on sauce), Spam Musubi (my go to snack) and reinforced of grilled Spam is delicious. I appreciate the uniformity of the staff in not skimping out! This is an updated version of my previous review. I've noticed a reoccurring problem with the servers and I wasn't going to rewrite my review until it kept on happening. Also photos attached were from BEFORE we experienced problems. I go to this poke co almost everyday since it's a healthy fast food option and I commute to school in this area. Poke co used to be good a few months ago, but I'm not sure what happened to the servers because it seems that every time I come to order there's always new employees that I usually never see the faces of few weeks later. Poke co is generous with their portion sizes AS LONG AS you don't get a new server with a clear "I don't want to be here" face on. I've encountered this certain employee two times and no smile, unnecessarily slow, and bad portions. Next time if they are serving I'm leaving. I understand that new employees may be a little slow, but I work in the same exact industry and I would've gotten fired if I was still that slow and bad with customer service. I'm not sure if Poke co has positions to work in the back, but if they did there should be no reason why they ran out of green onions. It seems as if the new employees don't know when to restock their items, they were VERY LOW on a lot of their items 2 hours before close. Don't be lazy, do your job. Clean up your bar too, no reason to be slacking off when it's 2 hours before close and 3 other people working front with you. And I'm not trying to be disrespectful, I think this is an amazing business, but your new employees just make it terrible to the point where I won't even order from poke co in fullerton anymore since there's always new employees. My best friend picked me up cause I am hurting to drive to run a couple errands and we picked up lunch for us and her family, felt like something healthy today. Needed yummy so she suggested here so we got 3 poke bowls and a teriyaki chicken bowl. I got the Garlic Tofu with white rice, imitation crab, cucumbers, Spicy Salmon, with green onions, fried onions, ginger and a bunch of delicious sauces. They have so many to choose from my friend ordered her and her family some bowls too with Tuna and shrimp, with all the same sides except they added edamame. I really enjoyed my bowl and so did they, I love their selections they have a lot to choose from. It was busy, but signed up with my phone number and got $2 off yay. I also got a guava juice to refresh yum my favorite. We got our food pretty quickly, Kaitlyn was so friendly and nice thank you so much for such awesome service and a delicious fresh poke bowl. Solid poke spot in Fullerton and right next to a boba spot for your convenience too! What stood out to me was they have a variety of proteins like scallop and octopus on top of the regular salmon/tuna options. They have a fun selection of sauces too try for example the OG (orange garlic) and sesame oil to add to my bowl. My server/scooper was super sweet too and was able to mix it the way I like it (cucumbers and onions mixed in with sauce). The fish was of good quality but my only gripe that is a bit more pricey compared many poke shops around the area. But I'd come back more of the sauces! My trip to the Poke Co was a last-minute decision since I was looking for a quick bite before a very important meeting. I wanted something somewhat healthy and this was the best option along those businesses. I was pleasantly surprised to see that the restaurant was clean, had loads of veggie options, and the fish looked fresh. I built my own bowl with salmon and other veggies. The employees were very helpful, making sure that I got as much/or as little sauce as I wanted and made sure I was happy with my bowl before they wrapped it up for me to take it to go. The Poke Co is located in downtown Fullerton with downtown parking situations. There's one restroom in the back that requires a key. We came on a Saturday night and it was pretty empty. Customer service has great vibes. They have plenty to offer. Something was spicy in my bowl and I'm pretty sure I didn't order anything spicy so I didn't enjoy my meal. 6/7/26 I am not one to write negative reviews but I just received the WORST SERVICE I've ever had this morning from a person with a wings tattoo on their neck. I walk in so excited to eat some poke, no " hello" or greeting (which was not the problem, not everyone greets right away) once we walked up to the person WE greeted them with a smile and asked how they were. We ordered Extra Large while I read about small portions and believe it or not we weren't able to finish it and we ate half of it. They have great selection of toppings, decent amount of fish to choose even they have chicken and meat that some places they don't have. Hmm my first time and it was not a great experience, I stood at the counter for couple mins, there were 3 employees behind the counters but I I wasn't offered or greeted. Then when I was ordering, half way through, the girl that was helping me gave another employee the bowl because she wanted to help her friends that just walked in....... There's at least 3 in the vicinity that I've tried, but one of them charges extra for your first scoop of avocado (say what?!) and then the other just has subpar toppings and flavor. The service here is quick; they're even kind enough to put a sign up that basically translates to: stop being rude and disrespectful, order your bowl, and move on so we can help the person behind you, because we can all agree those distracted people on their phones are so rude!
