Update - [12/06/25]: I've visited Protein Lab several times since my original review, ordering the same large açaí bowl to go as a regular customer, and everything has been great . The portions have been consistent and the taste is still excellent. Today, I forgot to bring my El Dorado HS Gold Card (which offers a 10% discount). I asked if they could still honor it since I'm a regular customer and part of the rewards program, and this time they kindly did. I appreciate the flexibility -- I usually use the discount to leave a bigger tip anyway. Overall, I'm glad management paid attention to feedback, so I'm updating my rating. Original Review: I always get the large açaí bowl here -- the taste is great. I ordered a large 32 oz recently and it came out about half the size of what I normally get. The acai bowls here are delicious!! I love the flavor and texture of the acai here, which is the perfect consistency and so refreshing. I like that the mini size is placed in a cup so it's easy to eat without making a mess and the size was pretty good for being a "mini." The fruits such as the strawberries and blueberries were also really sweet and fresh! They also have a ton of smoothie options as well. read more

Great place for a fresh smoothie! A well thought out menu with something for everyone and the bonus boosts options are great for a post-workout drink! I ordered the Tsunami which is a smoothie that has spinach in it (trying to get more greens in my life) and it was hidden so well! They also have boosts to add into your drink like collagen, BCAA, glutamine, tumeric and more. Inside they have limited seating and they have sports decor all around. My girlfriend enjoyed the Cinnamon Toast crunch which she liked, personally I don't like peanut butter so I didn't really enjoy it. We also shared their acai bowl, which we thought it was a bit on the sweeter side. Tasted very sugary compared to other sorbet acai bowls. Stopped by for some acai bowls with a friend on a weekday morning and it did not disappoint! They have a very good variety of options and I love the aesthetic inside! Cashier was friendly and our bowls came out pretty quick. Bowls were decently priced too! What I Ordered: -Immunity Shot: I never like taking these but I think they were good? They definitely were strong and had pulp at the bottom of the shot so you know it's the real stuff. They were also pretty large too! Be prepared to taste this when you burp, even hours later! 4/5 -Hermosa Bowl: I totally missed that there weren't any strawberries in this so that's my bad so it wasn't as good as I was expecting it to be. It was very sweet in a peanut butter chocolatey kind of way, which was good! They put a heaping glob of peanut butter on top which kind of makes it hard to eat/mix. But I think it's cool how they put granola on the top and bottom of the acai so it's more dispersed. I do feel like this caused there to be too much granola for my liking but I do feel like it was a smart idea. 4/5 Overall, I think this is a great place to grab a healthy meal after working out. A very decently priced 32 oz açaí bowl for $13.50, but if you want additional toppings there is a fixed price.. unless you pay for the unlimited additional toppings. They give you a big heaping of granola on the bottom and top of it. Definitely worth it if you are craving the basic version of the acai bowl. I drive all the way from Corona, CA for these Açaí bowls--they're so good! Ordered online for pickup in-store and just missed a major rush! About 3 groups of customers came in just as I left. Really enjoy their super frosty Açaí bowls that don't melt before picking up. They have a perfect blend of Açaí, strawberries, blueberries and whatever sweetener they add (I'm thinking agave or honey) Love that they add granola to the bottom of the bowls as well as the top, so you never run out!! Could literally eat these everyday. Highly recommend and definitely get the Large size. It's the best value IMO. Service is average, nothing remarkable, but the superfood bowls is what keeps bringing me back! When I first started coming here it was just smoothies, juices and bowls. The spot has great options and bowls but the staff here is awful. I ordered something online and I had to pull over on my drive because my baby spit up and I had to change all her clothes and everything and it took me maybe an extra 20 minutes to get there. I showed up and my order was just sitting on the counter and when I asked why they didn't have it in the fridge or freezer the kid working there said "we've just been busy doing other stuff". They were chatting in the back so I'm not really sure how busy they were cuz there wasn't one other customer in there and no other orders being made. So now I get to eat a mostly melted acai bowl because they were too busy to be bothered with keeping my order and the freezer things come up and if someone didn't show up for the order after 20 minutes or 5 minutes I would probably put that order in the fridge or freezer. Editing to add after the business managers response. You're assuming I didn't respond in a respectful way. I asked your employee why my order wasn't kept in the freezer and he responded non-chalantly that they were busy doing "other stuff". Then I saw him go into the back stand there and chat with a co-worker. Your employee could have asked me if he could remake the order. I most likely would have said no its all good not wanting to be wasteful but he didn't care or respond in a respectful way. Maybe instead of being defensive admit that your employee responded unprofessionally and should have done better. Yes being late for the order was my fault due to issues out of my control (by the way your pickup window in your review is inaccurate I was given a 15min window not 5-7 min) but leaving it sitting on the counter after so much time had gone by was absolutely within your control and when I questioned this your employee should have remade the order or given me the option. Instead he brushed me off in a disrespectful manner. Respect goes both ways. I hope you're able to learn from this and teach your employees to do better instead of continuing to be defensive. read more

I was skeptical on how the acai bowls would be because this place looked like it specialized in protein-based shakes. BUT let me tell ya -- it fulfilled my deepest cravings! I got the generic ACAI BOWL, and the acai base was extremely thick and creamy with a sweetness that was not over-the-top. The granola was the perfect size, and my bowl came with strawberries/bananas, which were some of the freshest fruits I've eaten in awhile ~~~ In regard to the service, it was extremely efficient and the workers were very friendly! When it arrived the top was sealed with the red Door Dash sticker as to prevent anyone else from drinking this. I've never even heard or seen this place before and just took a chance and it paid off. This spot is like a hole in the wall. I like the fact they are transparent with what is in the smoothie. I really enjoy the match man smoothie. I can taste the matcha and the whey. The 2 girls that were working on June 23 before 7:25pm were very rude and they denied service they were in a rush to go home and I told them I came from far and made it before their closing time. The girl picking up the trash told me unfortunately they were closed already. Really? Horrible customer service! Not until I told them how is it possible if it was before their business hours closing time. Not until I said I was going to write a review is when they finally offered me to either purchase a smoothie or shake. This is not fair for the clients.
