I love a good acai bowl! This was my first trying Pur Bowls. I ordered the Green Goodness Bowl which had a matcha base (yum) along with banana, strawberries, cocoa nibs and chia pudding. They also offered creating your own bowl as well. I love that there were so many different choices to choose from. I definitely will make my own bowl next time I visit. Pur Bowls on Main Street in Orange is such a solid spot, especially if you are craving something fresh late at night. It is conveniently located in a shared building with Nguyen's Kitchen, so parking is a smaller lot, but I have always been able to make it work. It is always popping too, which says a lot considering there is a Blue Bowl less than 100 yards away. They have plenty of base and topping choices, along with premade bowl options, but I personally like building my own. Calm, cool, and collected with a long line and a bunch of to go orders coming in at the same time. What a way to start the year off with pure Bowles in Orange California, I found this place by looking for some açai bowls and it was conveniently located right near Disneyland maybe a mile and a halfway away. The price was great. The atmosphere was clean and their different size offering small medium large is the first that I found as many places like this. Discovered this place randomly on a Saturday night, around 1 am while looking to satisfy an ice cream craving and was shocked I had never seen it before given how often I have driven right past it. Love that it's open so late, and that it provides potentially the healthiest option for a treat past like 10 pm. Once it melts a bit, it turns overly syrupy and sweet, basically a sugar bomb. The toppings don't do much for me either. It feels more like something built around what's trendy and flashy, not actually healthy. It also felt a little tacky. Blue Bowl had been bringing in serious business nearby, then moved down the street, and suddenly there's another açaí bowl spot right next door. I get the hustle, but it doesn't feel very community-minded--more like chasing traffic. I've picked up a few DoorDash orders here, and honestly, late night is the only reason I'd ever consider it. Nguyen's Kitchen still holds its own food-wise, but the açaí side feels forced and misleading. That said, I wish them luck--just calling it how I see it. read more
