You have the option to either create your own or pick from the preselected menu if you can't make up your mind. All of us went with the create your own bowl and this place makes a legit delicious acai bowl! I went with half mango, half acai and matcha pudding along with strawberry, banana, pineapple, almond butter, chai seeds, agave and almonds. It was super yummy and the perfect bowl after working out. The real ones know that this is one of few places you can get a late night Acai bowl. I really don't understand the business model of this and its sister restaurant Nguyen's Kitchen with always having tiny parking lots, because that's easily the single drag, where any time of day you're going to have to fight for parking, especially at this Orange location. It's not a great area of Orange where it's a pain for parking for both major Acai bowl places, and it almost feels by design. Pur Bowls on Main Street in Orange is such a solid spot, especially if you are craving something fresh late at night. It is conveniently located in a shared building with Nguyen's Kitchen, so parking is a smaller lot, but I have always been able to make it work. It is always popping too, which says a lot considering there is a Blue Bowl less than 100 yards away. They have plenty of base and topping choices, along with premade bowl options, but I personally like building my own. The bowls are always awesome and hit the spot, especially after a long bartending shift. The real star of my visit was Zoe behind the counter. She was an absolute rock star. Calm, cool, and collected with a long line and a bunch of to go orders coming in at the same time. The smoke and cooking smell from the restaurant drifts directly into the acai shop, and you end up smelling like food just from stopping in for a bowl. Acai is supposed to feel fresh and clean, but the strong kitchen smell completely takes away from that. Blue Bowl had been bringing in serious business nearby, then moved down the street, and suddenly there's another açaí bowl spot right next door. I get the hustle, but it doesn't feel very community-minded--more like chasing traffic. I've picked up a few DoorDash orders here, and honestly, late night is the only reason I'd ever consider it.
