Jasmine Milk Tea with boba and less sugar: very milky and bland. I could barely taste the tea, and the sweetness level seemed like it was at 25% rather than at 75%. Definitely had to doctor it at home. At least the boba was yummy and soft without being mushy. Regarding customer service, I agree with a few other Yelpers about how lackluster it is. The two ladies working there (one at the register and one making drinks) were indifferent and looked like they'd rather be somewhere else. We weren't greeted upon entry or when we went up to the register and started looking over the menu. When what I thought was my drink was ready, the lady who made it just quickly set it onto the counter, mumbled something that I couldn't really understand, and then walked off into the kitchen area. When I called out for confirmation, neither of the ladies looked at me or answered my question. Luckily, it appeared to be a light-colored milk tea and did have boba, so I'm guessing it was mine haha. My friend didn't really like the Golden Milk Tea (also got less sweet and added boba), as she said it wasn't the type of black tea flavor she was expecting. My other friend thought her oreo blended drink was ok but had a strange aftertaste that she couldn't really describe. There were a lot of people inside on a Saturday night. You can order their popcorn chicken in different levels of spicyness (scoville level) but depending on who is in the kitchen, it will be different every time you order it. During the day I can imagine there's lots of natural lighting, and at night they use yellow light so it's not as harsh a lighting compared to white lights. Popcorn chicken is $6.95, crispy tofu is $5.75, and dragonfly fries is $4.70. I enjoyed the crispy tofu a lot more than the other two. Keep in mind this was takeout so that might also affect the quality of the food. The sauce that came with it was soy sauce. Popcorn chicken has sweet and sour sauce, but could probably use a little more enlighten flavoring on the actual chicken. Fries was very lightly seasoned with some Cajun spice. To my disappointment there sits at the bottom of my drink the artificial flavoring powder, crystalized. My history of working as a bobarista myself has me very aware of what it is. You see, honeydew milk tea is most definitely not a popular menu item. The powder must have been sitting for quite awhile until I ordered it. The place is always cutely decorated for the holidays! Thats my favorite part. I hadnt come to visit in about a year. But i came tonight and on of the workers was not trained in customer service. He barely spoke to us. There was an issue with the bathroom and when i informed the worker he just shrugged his shoulders at me. I wouldn't be writing this review if this only happened once, but this person has routinely been rude and has the worst customer service. In the past she has refused to open the kitchen because there weren't enough customers, or because she forgot to set everything up prior to opening the store. I hate writing reviews that call people out on their poor behavior, but she has consistently been a poor performer. Cute little late night boba shop nearby my house. The shop is located in the In-N-Out Burger Plaza surrounded with lots of parking and there is also 85° bakery three doors down. I like to come here because it's open late I believe until 1 AM. The staff here is always nice and they have a variety of selection of fried yummy snacks. I also like that they have different types of teas and Milk teas here as well. This boba shop isn't too big inside with limited seating, with Wi-Fi. It is clean and so is the restroom which is a big plus for me because I don't really like using public restrooms. It is a nice little hang out if you're looking for somewhere to go late. I have been going to Dragonfly Tea Bar since I was in high school and it remains one of my favorite boba shops in OC. It is the perfect relaxing environment to do work or hw at (plus they are open pretty late which helps when you are trying to cram as much done in one night). It is always a very clean spot and there is a good amount of seating despite the shop being on the smaller size. The service here is always nice and friendly and accommodate to any changes you may add to a drink. I have tried a wide variety of drinks but my favorites are their Blueberry Slush, Coconut Blend, and Lychee Slush. The drinks here are the perfect amount of sweet and with so many options there is something for everyone here. The fries here are also so amazing every single time. We usually do mild seasoning and even that can get a bit spicy but it is so delicous and elevates their fries even more. I definitely recommend stopping by and picking those up.
