I wish I lived closer because I would go here daily! Stopped by late one evening on my way home -- the amazing aroma floats through as you walk toward Coffee Heist and I was excited before I even got there based on how yummy it smells walking in to store. I got an iced coffee for the next morning and a jasmine tea for that evening -- both were exquisite. The tea was refreshing and the coffee is so flavorful, strong without being bitter and lots of delicious notes. The guy working behind the counter was so kind too -- appreciate his thoughtfulness once he found out I would drink it next morning, he held on putting ice in so it would stay concentrated til the next day. I need to go back and buy a pound or two of coffee -- or maybe they can open one closer to me in LA too :) read more

Walking through Main Place Mall, I made a spontaneous stop at Coffee Heist (after all, I KNOW what Starbucks offers). I was fortunate to be greeted and assisted by Hector, who kindly and patiently described their offerings. Not familiar with Vietnamese coffee, upon hearing me express my dislike for anything too sweet, he presented me with a coffee drink that I enjoyed (despite also avoiding rich & creamy beverages)! My first experience of a Vietnamese coffee was luxuriously smooth and tasty. I like the wood furnishings and open windows giving an open-&-airy feel in this small, cute-&-comfortable shop. I got the matcha with boba. The matcha itself wasn't bad, but the boba confused me. I used to work in cafes and boba shops, and this was not your regular tapioca brown sugar pearls. It was honestly awful. Friends ordered the Vietnamese coffee, and they both agreed that it was the worst they've had. I don't really get why they have a high rating. read more

Fantastic Coffee shop surprisingly hidden in plain sight at a Mall of all places. I came here with my wife to take a look at a few things in another store and then we saw a coffee shop and we both wanted some coffee. Spoke with the owner and he knew his stuff with coffee and got me his most known Speciality Drink the Vietnamese Coffee. The Coffee was rich and delicious and the Vietnamese coffee bean he blends is strong and great. Ended up buying one of his bags he sells to make it at home. read more

The cold brew was alright, did not stick out too much in my mind. I am glad they offer sugar free syrups. The menu was filled with lots of interesting flavored lattes and Vietnamese coffees. I drove from far to go specifically to this coffee shop based on reviews and rating. I walked in this evening and was told by the two Asian men working there that they were closed already (it was 6:40pm). On Google and Yelp their hours are posted as being open until 8pm. They proceeded to tell me that they closed at 7pm (even after I showed them what my phone said on Google Maps- 8pm close). When I walked out I realized what time it was - only 6:35pm! Even if they closed at 7pm to refuse service at 6:35pm is not right! Very disappointed. If I was the owner I would be angry with employees not doing their job. If they are the owners themselves they deserve bad reviews for posting incorrect hours and bad training to their staff. They might have decent drinks but my family will never know as we will not be returning. read more

Clever name for a coffee shop that serves more ice than actual coffee. 2 sips in and I was halfway done with it. 4 sips and it was gone and only the ice remained. I ordered on the kiosk and didn't see an option to select the amount of ice and it probably would have been an extra charge. Regardless, there wasn't an option and LOOK AT THE AMOUNT OF ICE!! I stopped here for a hot latte on a cold, cloudy day while at the Main Place Mall. It's on the top floor near Macy's. The interior is quite nice, as inviting as a mall coffee cafe can be. I ordered a hazelnut latte; a bit on the pricey side. The fellow working here was very friendly and conversational. I took the latte with me as I walked through the mall, continuing my shopping. It was very, very hot. I couldn't drink it at first. Honestly it took me half an hour before I could sip it. Admittedly I have a temperature sensitive tongue but I'm telling you, this was served scalding hot. The hazelnut flavor was subtle but there, which I enjoyed. The coffee itself tasted burnt which is also my complaint about the world's largest coffee chain. I only drank half. Not my favorite coffee experience but it warmed me up. Other reviews rave about the Vietnamese coffee so I think that's the way to go if you visit here and like strong coffee. read more

Walking into jazz music, soft lighting, and ample use of wood lends to a classy and relaxing ambience that removes you from the bustle of the mall outside. Their Vietnamese coffee is a must! I love coming to this coffee shop on the weekends but never wrote a review for them. I saw recent reviews saying that they refused to serve. I think that is NOT TRUE!!! I don't know why there are 3 spam reviews about their services. The employees are nice and polite. They never refuse to serve any customers. They will answer any questions you have and serve you THE BEST COFFEE ever!!!!! This is one of my favorite coffee shops. The rose flavored coffee latte is delicious. I visited this place a few times and each time the cashier on hand was very charming and personable. I'm really happy that I visited this place, and got to drink the delicious coffee. With coffee places (especially local places) sometimes the coffee is made differently, but this place always provided delicious iced coffee every time I've been. I regret not trying more flavors but again the rose flavored latte is delicious. I've tried to recreate on my own but I failed many times. read more

I live quite a distance away from this location, so the only time I'm really here is if I'm hanging out with my friend (who lives in Fullerton). On this particular day, we were walking around the mall and doing some window shopping. It was in the middle of the late afternoon, and we were in need of a caffeine boost. On Yelp, the business claims to close at 8:00pm on Sundays, yet when i went they refused service, saying that it closed at 7:00pm. Even after I showed them their supposed schedule on Google and Yelp, they remained inconsiderate. Keep in mind that IT WASN'T EVEN 7:00pm YET! This place certainly lived up to their reviews. While in CA, I was looking for a coffee joint and Coffee Heist was the first that came up. Located in a mall, I really wasn't expecting much, but boy was I wrong. I ordered the Vietnamese Ice Coffee and to tell you that it was the best coffee I've had in a long time would be an understatement. The coffee was strong, robust and the condensed milk added just the right amount of sweetness. Service was exceptional. I spoke with someone who I think is the owner and mentioned how amazing their coffee was. He was very engaging and gave me a quick run down on how it should be made. Don't let the thought of it being in a mall steer you away because I almost did, and I would've missed out. I made sure to get my fill everyday of my trip! read more

My friends and I stumbled upon this place while shopping on a Saturday afternoon and we were so happy to find it! It seems like gem in this huge mall. It's located near Macy's on the second floor. We were all craving coffee so we were excited to find this shop near us! My friend got the Taro Latte and he LOVED it!!! I tried it too and it was a great level of sweetness with subtle coconut and strong taro flavor. For me, I ordered a iced Coffee Heist Latte with oat milk (+.50). The total was $6.25 for my drink. The cashier who greeted us (who I believe is also the owner) explained to me that it's low sweetness since it's two shots of espresso, 1 pump of hazelnut, and your choice of milk. It was delicious! For people who like not too sweet coffee, this is your drink! I would definitely go here again, especially with the great service we all received. read more

Needed a pick me up after hanging out with my kids at a local American Ninja joint and this place was close by. The location was super clean and the folks were really nice. I just ordered a plain black iced cold coffee which I was pleasantly surprised with (I've had my fair share). There were only a couple of people in line in front of me and several patron sitting at tables, talking with friends or working. Service was quick which is always a plus, too -- overall a great vibe inside. We ordered the Melo 2.0 (caramel latte with a cold foam top) and the Suede (mocha dusted brown sugar latte). Both were delicious, but the Melo 2.0 was the clear favorite! It was smooth and flavorful without being too sweet. Meanwhile, the Suede was strong in espresso flavor which I personally love. I'd absolutely recommend coming to this place! Side note: it is coffee on draft so there are no hot drinks. I personally prefer hot drinks; however, these were so good, I'd absolutely come back.

Every time I come in, there are 5 to 6 employees behind the counter, but more than half of them are just standing around talking and laughing. It creates a distracting environment for the few people who are actually trying to work, and it shows in how slow and disorganized everything feels. What really pushed me to write this review is how often the app is completely inaccurate. I'll get a notification saying my drink is ready, only to show up and find that it hasn't even been started yet. Meanwhile, the person who is supposed to be making drinks is busy chatting with coworkers instead of focusing on orders. This isn't a one-time thing either. It's become a pattern, and nothing seems to improve. Long waits, lack of urgency, and poor communication make the whole experience frustrating, especially when you're paying premium prices for coffee. I used to enjoy coming here, but the repeated lack of professionalism and attention to customers has really turned me off. Hopefully management steps in and addresses this, because right now it feels like customers are not a priority at all.
