I wish I lived closer because I would go here daily! Stopped by late one evening on my way home -- the amazing aroma floats through as you walk toward Coffee Heist and I was excited before I even got there based on how yummy it smells walking in to store. I got an iced coffee for the next morning and a jasmine tea for that evening -- both were exquisite. The tea was refreshing and the coffee is so flavorful, strong without being bitter and lots of delicious notes. The guy working behind the counter was so kind too -- appreciate his thoughtfulness once he found out I would drink it next morning, he held on putting ice in so it would stay concentrated til the next day. I need to go back and buy a pound or two of coffee -- or maybe they can open one closer to me in LA too :) read more

Every time I go to the Mainplace Mall, I get a coffee here. My favorite so far has been their rose latte, but I've also had the lavender latte (more than once) and their pumpkin spice latte, and every drink has been amazing!! The baristas are quiet but very sweet, and their speed is totally unmatched. Love the decoration, all the dark wood breaks up the mall's brightness very nicely. Coffee Heist is one of my favorite places to get a latte, I highly recommend it to anyone looking for good iced coffee in Santa Ana! read more

Walking through Main Place Mall, I made a spontaneous stop at Coffee Heist (after all, I KNOW what Starbucks offers). I was fortunate to be greeted and assisted by Hector, who kindly and patiently described their offerings. Not familiar with Vietnamese coffee, upon hearing me express my dislike for anything too sweet, he presented me with a coffee drink that I enjoyed (despite also avoiding rich & creamy beverages)! My first experience of a Vietnamese coffee was luxuriously smooth and tasty. I like the wood furnishings and open windows giving an open-&-airy feel in this small, cute-&-comfortable shop. I got the matcha with boba. The matcha itself wasn't bad, but the boba confused me. I used to work in cafes and boba shops, and this was not your regular tapioca brown sugar pearls. I stopped here for a hot latte on a cold, cloudy day while at the Main Place Mall. It's on the top floor near Macy's. The interior is quite nice, as inviting as a mall coffee cafe can be. I ordered a hazelnut latte; a bit on the pricey side. The fellow working here was very friendly and conversational. I took the latte with me as I walked through the mall, continuing my shopping. It was very, very hot. I couldn't drink it at first. Honestly it took me half an hour before I could sip it. Admittedly I have a temperature sensitive tongue but I'm telling you, this was served scalding hot. The hazelnut flavor was subtle but there, which I enjoyed. The coffee itself tasted burnt which is also my complaint about the world's largest coffee chain. I only drank half. Not my favorite coffee experience but it warmed me up. I drove from far to go specifically to this coffee shop based on reviews and rating. I walked in this evening and was told by the two Asian men working there that they were closed already (it was 6:40pm). On Google and Yelp their hours are posted as being open until 8pm. They proceeded to tell me that they closed at 7pm (even after I showed them what my phone said on Google Maps- 8pm close). When I walked out I realized what time it was - only 6:35pm! Even if they closed at 7pm to refuse service at 6:35pm is not right! Very disappointed. If I was the owner I would be angry with employees not doing their job. If they are the owners themselves they deserve bad reviews for posting incorrect hours and bad training to their staff. They might have decent drinks but my family will never know as we will not be returning. read more

I ordered the Vietnamese Ice Coffee and to tell you that it was the best coffee I've had in a long time would be an understatement. The coffee was strong, robust and the condensed milk added just the right amount of sweetness. Service was exceptional. I spoke with someone who I think is the owner and mentioned how amazing their coffee was. He was very engaging and gave me a quick run down on how it should be made. My friends and I stumbled upon this place while shopping on a Saturday afternoon and we were so happy to find it! It seems like gem in this huge mall. It's located near Macy's on the second floor. We were all craving coffee so we were excited to find this shop near us! My friend got the Taro Latte and he LOVED it!!! I tried it too and it was a great level of sweetness with subtle coconut and strong taro flavor. For me, I ordered a iced Coffee Heist Latte with oat milk (+.50). The total was $6.25 for my drink. The cashier who greeted us (who I believe is also the owner) explained to me that it's low sweetness since it's two shots of espresso, 1 pump of hazelnut, and your choice of milk. It was delicious! For people who like not too sweet coffee, this is your drink! I would definitely go here again, especially with the great service we all received. read more
