I hope whoever owns this shop is aware of the terrible service the employees are providing, if you are the owner and have cameras in your shop watch the video at 3:00 pm February 23rd. Since the moment my daughter and I walked in we were treated as if we were annoying them. I politely asked if they could make the drink not so hot, "kids temperature" or just warm, the guy seemed extremely annoyed and said something to the other female attendant, I asked for her name but she refused to tell me, she wears glasses. When the drink was ready, I asked if she knew if the coffee was "kids temperature" or just not too hot, to which she replied with "I don't know" so I opened it and took a sip, the drink was cold. i said "oh it's cold" and she replied with a rude tone " what do you want me to do?" and it went downhill from there. I don't wanna spend any more time on this, but if I was the owner and the employees were treating the customers in such a horrible manner, I would like to know, such terrible experience. read more

It's smoothie time! I was craving a yummy smoothie for breakfast and found this cute place at old town Orange! They have a variety of smoothies as well as protein packed smoothies and premium smoothies. They also have other yummy items like acai bowls and fresh squeezed juices. It was hard to choose but I went with their Ultimate PB and my bf got their Hot pink smoothie, both premium smoothies. We both picked Almond butter in our smoothies and each smoothie was around $10 for a good 16oz size. Both were very good and very filling. I could really taste the blueberries and the banana was not too powering. The Hot Pink was nice and creamy and both tasted very refreshing! Opening with a confession: this was not our first choice for a post-hike acai bowl. The place we wanted to try had no parking and a line a mile long, which led to a frantic Yelp search which led to us stopping here. I do love the location - I'm a fan of Old Orange - and it was easy for us to find a parking spot in the lot behind the buildings. We wandered a bit after making our way through the alley back onto the main street but eventually found our way to Impact. I went with the Nutty Bowl and my husband ordered the "Sexy in Pink" bowl. Well, hang on. I'm skipping over an important piece, and the reason I'm rating this 4 stars, instead of 5. We were the only customers when we walked in. The older guy working the blenders greeted us while we walked to the counter to review the menu. He then had to tell the younger girl to go tend to us, because she was standing off to the side, likely contemplating her navel. When she sidled up to the register, she didn't ask if we were ready to order, or if we had any questions, or if she could help us in any way. She stood there staring at us like she couldn't for the life of her understand what was supposed to come next. Now, being first-time visitors, it would have been nice to hear "Do you have any questions?", or something along those lines, especially as it was pretty clear my husband had no clue what he was looking at or looking for. After an unbearably long time, he finally gave up and picked the first thing that looked decent, and we were able to place our order. The bowls were fresh and delicious, which more than made up for the oddly disquieting encounter with the girl at the register. My bowl was a pretty basic acai: granola, acai base, fresh fruit and dried coconut. My husband's shockingly pink bowl was probably the better of the two, with granola, pitaya base, fresh fruit and dried coconut, topped with a peanut butter drizzle. We ate our bowls at one of the open street tables, sun blazing down on us (which made for terrible pictures, sorry). The frozen sweetness of the bowls were a nice balance to the sunshine, and a good reward for the hike we'd just completed. read more

I was in search of a healthy smoothie for breakfast and found this cute lil place at the Circle aka Old Towne Orange. It's been extremely warm here in OC and it's only February... only in Southern California can you go through a mini heatwave during the winter months. And on warms days like these, I don't particularly get hungry, so a smoothie is usually what I crave. I walked in and saw that they had a great selection of smoothies, açaí bowls, fresh pressed juices, and even coffee! This is one of the few juice bars at the Circle that I have not visited yet, so I wanted to give it a try. And I am so glad I did! I got the Super-Antioxidant smoothie and it was soooo good - luscious, creamy, refreshing, and tasty! Because they use oat milk, it was more of a subtle and creamy açaí taste compared to the typical fruity ones, which was actually a pleasant surprise! I am use to having coconut water or apple juice as the added liquid, but I have to say, I really really enjoyed the oat milk! So much so that I went back again the following day. But instead of getting the same one, I decided to try the Green Power for more of a health kick to get in both my fruits & veg. Unfortunately, it wasn't that great because the consistency of the smoothie was very thick and it was a little too sweet for my liking. There were too many ripe bananas. However, I will still continue to come back to make my way through the menu - one smoothie at a time! From all the juice bars to choose from at the Circle, don't count this one out.
