    Turkey Ke Koa. So good!
    Michael P.

Just tried Black Market Meal prep. Got the turkey Ke Koa and it's super delicious. The folks here are very nice and helpful and it's got a cool trendy vibe. It seems more geared towards grab and go but they do have a few spots to sit. To be clear the meal I got was hot but they do have refrigerators there as well and you can get a bunch of healthy protein snacks there too.

This place is a gold mine ALL ORGANIC produce. My favorite meal prep restaurant. You can order hot or cold meals and it doesn't need to be meal preps. They have burgers, bowls salads you name it! I love how many variations you can make with all of the ingredients they have. Love how vegan friendly they are. Perfect for tracking macros and reaching your body goals. The sauces are delicious. Rewards program is really cool too. It's like a candy shop for people who want to eat a healthy and balanced diet. Only thing I'm sad about is the extensive plastic use/waste. I asked if I can bring my own Tupperware's they said no because of food inspection which I understand. Hey I tried lol. I really don't like using and discarding all this plastic. Not a deal breaker--but something to improve for the environment.

One of the grab and go..50 percent off

Decided to try Black Market meal prep on Wednesday this past week after I had mt doctors appointment. Was looking for a good meal prep with fresh made food or grab and go. Was impressed with the inside and the variety of fresh meat and veggies to create your own..first I bought two grab and go on Wednesday.. to see how good the food was before I delve into the made to order food..the two grab and go were chicken thigh with veggies and rice. Comes in a ready to microwave container..expired date was the 15th and bought on the 14th..fresh ..full of flavors and is enough for a single guy watching his diet. No preservatives..fresh as stated on the label. So come Saturday..decided to go back and create my own..both 5oz as are the grab and go. Got teriyaki chicken with green beans and sweet potatoes on one and lime tri tip with carrots and red potatoes..as well as three grab and go. All were 50 percent off due to expired date today the 17th. Such a deal and stay fresh a day after. The create your own is 4 day..I will be going here often to get my meal prep..fresh and no hassle to cook. Clean up or ruin a meal..

Black Market is fantastic! A little pricey but they offer up some great quality food so you know you're getting quality service as well! Walking in, it kind of feels like a gym bro's heaven, but don't let that intimidate you as their food is meant for anyone and everyone. As someone who is becoming more and more food conscious and as someone who works in the EMS field, I need something fast, solid, and simple--Black Market is always there for me!

This place is 20/10!!! The quality and taste always 110%! Quick service (even during lunch time) and quality food! My go to is the Gladiator Bowl. Service always friendly. I recommend to friends and colleagues! (Couldn't wait to take a picture before having a bite)

A meal prep company with a storefront location and delicious food that lasts!!! Easy ordering both in store or order ahead. On my first visit they said "make sure to consume within 5 days." I was so skeptical of it lasting that long because no freshly prepared food I've ever ordered from any other meal prep company lasts more than a few days. Of course I left some meals til 5 days out and they tasted just as fresh as the day I bought them. Wow!!! Prices are affordable for fresh, quality, healthy food. Pre-portioned out helps keep me on track. They have a great variety of flavors for the various protein options which helps to mix things up and not feel board. My absolute favorite thing on the menu is the bison burger!!! Seriously the best I've had. Moist, flavorful, perfect portion...I literally crave it weekly since discovering this spot. The bison burger is only served during limited hours mid-day during the week, when they offer the hot menu. Stop in for lunch, it won't disappoint. They also have some packaged and pre-made refrigerator items available. Everything I have tried so far is a win.

I love that I can go in and pick out my meal prep. The prices were reasonable and the food was delicious and satisfying. Everyone inside was helpful and friendly.

We had food poisoning at this location a few weeks back. The owners were extremely rude to us and accused us of lying. This morning another customer of theirs reached out to me via DM that he ALSO got food poisoning from this location. See below the screenshots. I'm willing to go out of my way and report this because the way the business owner treat customers who fell ill from their food is simply unacceptable. ----------------- Update 2: I think the real issue here is you never cared about us getting food poisoning from your food, nor do you choose to believe it. This is what differentiate you from 99% other legit businesses and is what's truly irritating. You mentioned that if we had reached out to you first you would have given us a refund, it's extremely confusing bc: 1. Margarita specifically told us "no refund" whatsoever, so what would have been the point of asking you for help? 2. Say you truly wanted to acknowledge responsibility and give us a refund like you claimed, isn't that what is happening right now?? You customers are getting what you were gonna offer anyways: We are getting our refund and it is because your food made us sick... Really confused at this point what you are arguing about... is it that you are blaming us why not asking for your help when you weren't gonna help, or is it that we did get a refund which is what you claimed you would have done anyways? What did we do wrong other than making a mistake in giving you guys a try? And like I said, I specifically wanted to spare you a bad review online, which is why I chose to file a chargeback privately through my bank. As a customer, that's the easiest way to protect ourselves The fact that you are all pissy about the outcome tells me that had we reached out to you in the first place, we would have been called a lier and denied a refund anyways... and your whole "if you reached out first we'll glad refund you" would never have happened. Let's be real. As to these public reviews now, it's all thanks to interacting with you both. We are paying customers who got sick from your food, and we received absolute no empathy, no professionalism, instead we were called fraudulent, and you were somehow "exposing" us. Smh, seriously? Wow. ------------------------------ Update - based on the hostility in the response, need I say more? This whole time they never checked in with us one time how we are doing from food poisoning from their food, and never asked us what our experience was like. Went straight into defense mode. Bryan, I spoke with her bc I was the one that filed the charge spoke. I specifically wanted to spare you of a public terrible review. Oh well, you are unprofessional and we all can see. I have no words... PS: please read my updated google review. All the details are included in there. Crazy how a terrible business can drag into such drama. This is a first... ------------- Found out about this business over google, entrusted them and ordered over $100 of meal prep at the first go. Food is NOT fresh and what's worse, both my wife and I got food poisoning. Filed a chargeback with our bank due to this, and was subsequently harassed by the owner (Margarita or whatever her name is), saying we were fraudulent and they want us to resolve it in a "civil" manner. Calling your customer fraudulent bc they had food poisoning from your food sure doesn't sound civil or professional. The whole time they were on the defensive end, never wanted to even listen, and started arguing with me like it's Instagram politics. I could give this place -5 star if I could. Margarita, please stop harassing us. If you think we are fraudulent please go talk to our bank. Regardless, im very disappointed by this interaction and will definitely not recommend it to anyone. this is not a good look on you and how you run a business. I simply can't believe the service can be worse than the food.

$12-15 EACH for a bland Weight Watchers type meal AND you have to order ONE BUSINESS DAY AHEAD. What!? You gotta be kidding me. I get you are a busy, health conscious, planner type of person if you are eating here but you are much better off meal prepping at home in terms of cost and flavor. Bumped them up a star because the special (citrus jerk) shrimp is good.

In the past, I have had their Bison burger. Yesterday, I just bought 2 sides and a sauce for under $5.00. They have prepped meals for breakfast, lunch, and dinner! The staff is friendly and you can earn reward points for each purchase that you make.

ENCHILIDA SUIZAS, lobster + shrimp filling, corn, poblano cream sauce, pickled red onion, cilantro, queso fresco, I give 5/5, I enjoyed the combination of the sauce and enchiladas, it wasn't overcooked and had a great refreshing savory flavor. Plated very nicely, visually appealing. BULGOGI KIMCHI FRIED RICE, fried eggs, gochujang, green onion furikake, pickled radish, cilantro, I give 4/5, overall I enjoyed this plate, but I do feel the beef could have been slightly stronger in terms of flavor? The rice was holding all the spices and taste. DULCE DE LECHE FRENCH TOAST, crème fraîche chantilly, brûléed banana, chocolate sauce, maldon salt, I would give 5/5, presentation was beautiful, taste wise I really enjoyed it, had a very good balance of sweetness and not too strong. I know my ratings are less than a 5 in general, but I really felt the whole experience was pleasant, enjoyable, good food and good vibes, therefore 5 out of 5

Smiling, she said, "Let's celebrate with Spanish tapas." So the beautiful day began with milk tea and chocolate before we headed to the newly opened restaurant Fat of the Land for their Mother's Day brunch, conveniently located on North Main Street in Santa Ana. I later found out it was a special Sunday brunch created just for Mother's Day. Thanks to my daughter's reservation, we were seated right away. The menu selection was smaller than usual, probably because of the special brunch menu, but every tapas dish sounded delicious. We ordered the Castelvetrano olives, Galician smoked paprika octopus, French steak tartare, and Basque cheesecake, paired with a Fiero Spritz and Red Sangria. Both the octopus and steak tartare were outstanding. The Galician smoked paprika octopus was tender, flavorful, and carried just the right hint of spice. The French steak tartare was served on crispy toasted bread with cheese sprinkled on top -- a creative and delicious twist on a classic dish. The space is BEAUTIFUL, both during the day and at night. When we checked in on Friday evening they even had live music, but unfortunately I was feeling a little sick so I skipped it and told myself I'd redeem the experience the next day before heading to Disneyland. And I'm glad I did. In the daytime, the patio area is gorgeous--you can really appreciate the firepit seating and the little lake with koi fish outside. Such a relaxing vibe. We came by around 4PM to pregame before Disney and the bar was pretty busy. Huge shoutout to Arvey, the bartender who took care of us during our visit. Not only was the service exceptional, but he genuinely made some of the best cocktails we've had in a while. Sitting at the bar and watching him make the drinks was honestly part of the experience itself. At first we were trying to customize and tweak our drinks because we usually stay in our comfort zone, but after talking with him and learning more about the ingredients in The Peel's specialty cocktails, we decided to trust the process a little more. We ordered the Dragonfly and Playing With Fire, and both were amazing--beautiful presentation, really balanced flavors, sweet and sour in the best way. We're usually not big foam cocktail people either, but this visit might've changed our minds a little. Also, Playing With Fire came with a fun little presentation moment which made it even better. Honestly, I was really impressed with my experience here. I even came back for another drink at breakfast before checking out of the hotel lol. The dining area also looked beautiful and the food coming out to other tables looked really good too. Definitely looking forward to coming back anytime I'm around the Anaheim area again.

Parking validation is done at the front desk. They have a solid menu of appetizers, entrees and desserts and a very nice craft cocktail menu. It's sectioned off at the south east end of the lobby and feels like a more open space than a standard restaurant or bar and the vibe feels very OC, hipster, upscale. The only downside is the service is not consistent the last two times we've been here. The night we visited, there was a singer playing piano between the bar and restaurant area. I love entertainment at any venue, but the sound was way too loud for indoors and we couldn't hear each other talking. The reason I suggested The Peel for dinner was because I've been able to have conversations with friends and catch up without any competing noise from neighboring tables or crowds in the past. Maybe call ahead of time if there's going to be entertainment and if there's an event in town (Motocross was happening this weekend) to gauge the crowd and noise level before you go. The bar is fully stocked and they have a lot of craft cocktails to choose from and the drinks are consistently good. I had the Como la Flor cocktail this night and in the past I've enjoyed the Fera & the Dragonfly cocktails. The appetizers are great to share with your friends and there's lots to choose from. I enjoyed the Brussels sprouts and the mini sliders a lot and my friends really loved the chorizo flatbread. For the entree I got the smash burger and it's pretty filling and rich. You get fries with the order and the fries are perfectly crispy and tasty. For dessert we got the bread pudding, lemon cheesecake and lava cake. The lemon cheesecake was like biting a slice of lemon with some sugar. It's definitely for lemon lovers and I enjoyed it. Bread pudding ice cream was good but the bread pudding was alright and you can't go wrong with lava cake. Again, my only issue with the Peel is the service. It's not very hospitable compared to other restaurants I've visited. There was a bit of a wait from when we were seated to when our server showed up. He took our orders, the food and drinks would show up, and after that we didn't see our server for a while, so we were without drink refills and our table had dirty dishes that just sat there. I glanced around a few times and saw no servers on the floor, a server that was not ours that was far away or would try to flag one down for a refill on our waters but they were quickly leaving the area. We were waiting on the check, but just kept talking instead and then finally, when the check came we were in mid conversation catching up. He stopped by a few minutes later, picked up the check and realized we had not put our cards down to pay it and came back and dropped it off again. We paid using Google-Wallet at their point of sale system and sat back down to finish our conversation and the busser asked if he could remove the dirty dishes on our table and said, in a rude tone, "Yeah because we're closed already." We didn't realize they were closed since there was still a large crowd of people at the bar, and he could have said that in a polite way and said thank you for coming, but he made it known he has to set his jars of jam down on the table for breakfast tomorrow. Honestly, had our server come by much earlier and checked on us and left the bill, we would've left before closing. I don't usually think of a hotel restaurant as a go-to for dinner with friends, but this is the only one in a while that I would recommend because the vibe is unique. I hope the service improves, but other than that it's a solid restaurant.
