Alfonzo did a great job of helping us yesterday with our drinks, appetizers, food, dessert, and even a heater for the cool breeze out on the spacious patio. Our food was delicious and filling. We can't wait to return to try more items on the menu and more drinks from their Crafthouse list. Great meal. Thanks Finney's.

The drinks here are horrible!!! I had the raspberry smash and the strawberry Cadillac margarita. Just strong and no flavor whatsoever. The brussel sprouts tasted burnt with sauce on them. The lettuce for my chicken lettuce wraps were brown. I do not recommend wasting your time or money here.

Solid food and menu mainly consisting of tacos, burgers, pizzas, and various appetizers. Located near Orange circle, so parking was a bit difficult on a Saturday night! Curb parking and there's some lots behind the restaurant and scattered throughout Orange circle. Prices weren't too bad and drinks were good/strong! A5 Wagyu Burger ($17): pretty good, I got a side of truffle fries. I really like their ketchup, it has some extra seasoning to it that gave it a kick. Requested a side of ranch! They have a regular and large size for fries, opted for the large to share with my boyfriend Crispy Mahi Mahi Tacos ($15): my boyfriend enjoyed his meal, wish it came with 3 tacos instead of two though. Comes with a side of salsa and chips Bacon Deviled Eggs ($11): first time trying deviled eggs with some siracha and I can say it was pretty good! Chicken and Waffle Bites ($13): my boyfriend's highlight and favorite! The chicken bites were pretty big, super crispy, and NOT dry! Order came out to about $122, but we did order 2 old fashions with double shots! FYI they have electronic games to play at the table for $3. We made the mistake of tapping it and it was automatically billed to our table

I want to add that this place is such a vibe, especially for sporting events. Tommy and Atien are probably the best servers I have ever gotten at a restaurant. Their welcoming attitudes and helpful approach make any celebration even better.

This place was good. Tommy was so nice and friendly! They have a lot on the menu that I wanted to try but had to stick to the diet plan. The deviled eggs were good, the wings were not as crispy as I like but the sauce was great. My kid got the pizza, the pepperoni was kinda overcooked, but he still liked it. The environment was fun and the service was great, I'll definitely go back when I can really eat.

Went today for lunch. Food was super good!!!! Service was really slow except for the busser. Didn't get his name but he was definitely on it. Asked for water from the server and she never brought it, but he did when we asked him. Gave him a cash tip right then cause he was pleasant and awesome. Will definitely return, just hope for a different server.

Flipping amazing. While I was researching places to do and eat in SLO, this place kept popping up and for good reason. The happy hour is most generous and affordable. We both got two beers on tap, a pepperoni pizza and their loaded nachos. The food and drinks came out pretty fast and we were amazed by the nachos. They were loaded with both flavor and meaty, cheesy goodness. Would def come back again and get the nachos for sure. The crust on the pizza is super thin, and there was a bountiful amount of pepperoni. Paired amazingly with the beer. This place is perfect for large groups or smaller groups if you come early enough to beat the crowds.

Finneys is in the middle of Orange & was popular for dinner on a Thursday. We arrived around 6:30pm and saw a quite a few empty tables but a couple large parties waiting to be seated. Waited 20 minutes for a table of 2 but was served promptly after. The Finney burger was a decent burger. I really appreciated the toasted bun for some texture. Truffle fries had just a hint of truffle but seemed more like parmesan fries if I had to label it.

Great vibe, great food, and solid drinks. Everything tasted fresh and the portions were good. Service was friendly and quick without feeling rushed. Perfect spot to hang out with friends or grab a casual dinner. Definitely coming back!

    Tri-tip sandwich. The best!!!

This Finneys Crafthouse was good as the one in Brea. The place is clean and the staff were very busy. The only negative star I give is because of the parking since it is in the Orange Circle it sucks and parking is hard to find. The best sandwich I had here was the tri-tip sandwich 15/10.and I am biased because I love horseradish sauce. The Peggy's chicken sandwich was a 7/10. The finney burger was 8/10. Overall a good place.

Came here to meet with an old friend, and the environment was very cool. It was definitely loud and had an arcade bar feel. It was sometimes hard to hear the other person talk, but other than that it was fun. Our waitress was amazing and she gave us the lowdown on what she thinks is really good and what she didn't like. She answered all of our food questions and she was just a boss. The drinks were amazing. I know I got a margarita. I just don't know which one. It was strong and good. The brussels sprouts were the star of the show to me. I could've eaten six of those small plates. I will say I was a bit disappointed with the poke nachos that they had. The dressing I had on the side, but it wasn't that hot. There's another dressing on top of it but there wasn't enough. It just seemed kind of plain. My roommate had the cheeseburger egg rolls and she said they were absolutely amazing and would 100% recommend.

Finney's Crafthouse is a spot recommended to me by a friend for good drinks and apps. Came here with that friend on a Tuesday evening. It was pretty busy, probably because of the World Series and the Dodgers were playing. Regardless, we were seated quickly and service was good. We ordered a round of drinks and a couple of apps to share. My friend ordered the Line 39 Cabernet and I ordered the seasonal cocktail which is a Passionfruit Sour. We ordered the Spicy Tuna Crispy Rice and Crispy Brussels to share. Our drinks came out first, followed by the food. The Passionfruit Sour was well-balanced. It wasn't too sweet or sour, and the passionfruit flavor can be tasted. The Spicy Tuna Crispy Rice came with five pieces. It was good. The rice was crispy on the outside and chewy on the inside. The spicy tuna was okay, but didn't stand out. The Crispy Brussels were also good. The tamarind ponzo was tart yet salty. There were only a couple pieces of fig, which were an interesting add to the dish. Overall, giving Finney's Crafthouse a 4/5. There is lots of seating inside and there's a covered outdoor patio with seating. It can get noisy when sitting indoors, which makes it difficult to hear the people you are sitting with. Service is good, food is okay, and drinks are good. Would recommend for drinks.

    Coconut Shrimp
    Raven R.

This place has a casual vibe. Lots of tv screens for sports fans. The staff is friendly and we were seated right away. We ordered a coconut strawberry sangria to drink and a coconut shrimp to start. For our main, we got the gary's pepperoni pizza with hot honey. Coconut Strawberry Sangria- The strawberry has a sweet and tangy flavor, balanced out by the creamy coconut. Very refreshing! Coconut Shrimp- Coconut coating is crisp. The Shrimp is fresh and meaty. Served with sweet chili sauce that tied the flavors together. Gary's Pepperoni Pizza with Hot Honey- Crust is crispy with a light chewiness in the middle. Cheese is hot and gooey. They give a generous amount of pepperoni. The hot honey gives a lovelt sweetness with a kick. Great experience overall!

She provided us a code and explained the time limit along with house rules. We were then told to knock on the door and proceed with the experience. Kudos to the owner as this is the only speakeasy in the OC that has a true speakeasy feel entrance. They had a gentleman open the peephole and ask for the entry code. Once we said the code we entered a really cool mine shaft area. The attention to detail was on point and I was impressed! We were then taken upstairs to a private bar where there are four tables of four so a max of 16. This makes sense as to why reservations are hard to come by. The only ding about seating is you are sat with strangers it is not a private table. Luckily we had a fun older couple at our table so it made the conversation more lively. Otherwise don't go here with an expectation of an intimate/ private date night. They also offer a limited food menu but looked very promising. However, we were here for a night cap so just dabbled in drinks. The bartender had a seasonal menu of 4 cocktails he created. He explained the drinks and then had us try each one with a straw. We then placed our order based on what we liked. He did say if we were not a fan he could create us our own personal cocktail as well. The old fashion he created was phenomenal! Overall, a cool little spot in the OC. Do wish they were open later as they do close at 11pm on Friday and Saturday.

We usually eat before visiting, but many of the new food items looked very good, so we had dinner also. They are usually very busy, so be sure to book a reservation on their website. We started out with the empanadas (Shrimp, Mozzarella, Parsley, Chili Flakes, Chef's Bomb Salsa, $18) to get something in our stomachs early. There are two good sized empanadas, perfect for sharing, stuffed full with cheese and plenty of shrimp, with a crisp crust. The salsa definitely has a kick and brings some heat. They were excellent and filling. My first cocktail was the "La Peligrosa" - Vodka Banger (White Hjerte Vodka, Capaletti, Green Chartreuse, Papaya, Pineapple, Lemon, $19). It was balanced and not boozy, with light fruit and a hint of chartreuse which I love. Her first cocktail was the "Oaxacan Trading Co." - Mango Jet Pilot (Oaxaxa Rum, Trinidadian Rum, Lime, Grapefruit, Cinnamon, Mango, Meletti Float, $19). The rums are at the perfect level, and there is some funk. It is nice and juicy, and the grapefruit, mango, and cinnamon are all there. This was our favorite drink of the night. I was going to have steak for dinner, so I ordered the "Viejito En Vacaciones" - Pineapple Old-Fashioned (Sagamore Rye, Pineapple, Toasted Almond, Tiki Bitters, $18). It was smooth and had some light spices. Her second was the "Hole Mole" - Agave Sour (Magenta Blanco, Divin Espadin, Mole, Chile, Lime, Chocolate Bitters, $20). I have never had mole so I wasn't sure what to expect. It was balanced and had some good complexity. It had a light heat and some chocolate notes, very enjoyable. For my entrée, I had the Prime Filet Mignon (Blueberry Red Wine Reduction, Potato Pave, Mushroom Cream, Egg Truffle, $58). Wow, what a presentation! This dish looks like something you'd pay a fortune for at a fancy French restaurant. It was cooked to a perfect medium rare plus, just as ordered. The filet has to be at least six ounces, if not more, and is cut in half and served in two pieces. The mushroom cream was good (there's some mushrooms on the plate also), but I really loved the blueberry red wine reduction. I've never had a poached egg with a filet for dinner before, but it totally worked, and the truffle oil added another layer of flavor. The potato pave (squares) were so good, nice thin slices of potato pressed together with a crispy exterior. This was an excellent entrée. She just wanted a few more appetizers for her main, so we ordered the Papas Bravas (Baby Dutch Creamers, Chorizo Seco, Brava Sauce, Aioli, Parsley Oil, $18). The plate was barely warm when it arrived, so we asked our server if she could heat it up, which she was happy to do. Once heated properly, it was way better and the potatoes and chorizo were both good. The sauce had a little heat to it. We also ordered the hummus (Garbanzo, Pickled Vegetables, Paprika, Toasted Pepitas, $20). This was another visually impressive and exotic looking dish. It's served with warm toasted pitas, and the hummus is flavorful. The pickled vegetables were a nice addition, and I particularly enjoyed the onions and jalapenos. For my last cocktail, I had the Nina Fresa - Strawberries & Cream Milk Punch (Mijenta Blanco, Strawberry, Lime, Milk Punch, $20). It wasn't mentioned in the description, so I was pleasantly surprised when it was served with a nice, thick foam on top. I was even more surprised to find that the foam had a great coconut flavor to it. It paired well with the strawberry flavor of the milk punch, and the lime was quite noticeable. It had a mellow sweetness, and was a good finisher after the more classic cocktails earlier. She finished with the Te Quiero - Tamarind Margarita (Divino Mezcal, Xila, Fernet Vallet, Tamarind, Honey, $19). This had a great flavor profile with a light smokiness. The host Anna was very friendly and seated us immediately. Our server was Georgina who we've had several times. She is always very friendly and provides great service, and this visit was no exception. She mentioned that the kitchen was a running a bit slow that night, and kindly offered us shots of our choice on the house. We asked her to surprise us, and she brought out what I believe were daiquiri shots which were delicious. Our bartenders were Adrian and Ruben, and they made great drinks. The new spring menu is excellent. We really enjoyed both the cocktails and the food. If you haven't visited in a while, now is a great time to come back.

(receipt names don't match the attached paper menu just fyi) 2-Commanders smoked turkey leg / Prime Minister smoked turkey leg 3-Admirals corn cup 4-Captains melt $15- 1/2lb wagyu angus beef patty w sweet pepper, grilled onions, cheese, candied peppered bacon & polynesian sauce on toasted monterey jack sourdough bread. +togarashi fries 5-Admirals pickle So far i've only inhaled half the melt. and i must say IT IS delicious. Obviously with covid takeout i imagine if eaten fresh off the grill the sourdough would be crunch exterior melty soft. BUT even with a 35minute travel time home, the steam builds up inside so kinda soggy, it's still so yummy! so much wagyu beef so juicy plus the slightly spicy sauceOoMPh just slap me! the fries are like sliiiiightly spiced. meh. i've never been a fan of fat steak fries. too chonky. will try the tots next cuz who doesn't love fluffy crumbled tater tots!??? will update as i eat my way thru the rest but the big juicy dog is being eyed ---- Loco Moco burger $14 - is even better than opening week. It actually seems flatter now, buts it's every bit as delicious and better. which if you take into account you can't eat it fresh cuz u have to take it home (25-30min drive for me), then it would've been awesome right off the grill. It's downright juicy, oddly i love the frisée? it's like thinly crunchy which turns out really nice especially when it's seeping with whatever that thousandislandy looking sauce with the faintest of spicy hints (not actually spicy, the sweet savory juices drown it), however it makes the super soft bun mushy which makes your hands ultra messy (do not touch your phone or your face, that's how viruses get passed around). Egg was nestled in the center so when i popped it, the oozy goodness enhanced the already amazing burger. Comes with a side of polynesian mac salad which is nothing like blind rabbits truffle mac n cheese but this mac salad is cold with fun crunchy bits and a hint of a spicy kick. Banana Bread $8 - yo i do not know how they came up with this but this item is godly. the bread itself is good, dense, sweet like lvl3 delicious. but the explosive flight to lvl7 is from the super caramellyish thick sauce and the crunchy pieces of whatever sprinkled about. PLuS whatever that white cream is, all together is a super amazing experience. Saturn 2 for $22 - alright i thought this was the 1 of the 4 drinks that i liked from opening week. the online order thing is weird, it LISTED as 2 for $22, but when you add 2 to your cart, it charges you $44, so naturally i thought each order is a set of 2 right? so i order 1 (set) for $22. And that's where it got weird, the package contained 1 pouch which appears like 1 drink of saturn BUT they also gave me 2 ziploc bags of ice (1 of which was leaking), 2 straws, 2 sets of garnish (i LOVE that even tho its to go, they're giving you the garnish even tho it was 2 leaves and 2 flowers). Now with 1 pouch tho it's either you share the same drink (very anti-social distancing) or you bring your own glass to split it....and then ice+garnish it. anyways um...it's strong, like just out the front door strong, like beast claw just ravaged your face strong. every sip, i felt the tonic punch me in the face and i would fade away a little. The taste? really wasn't appealing to me, but i paid $22 for it so i'm gonna drink it fml. IT JUST wouldn't end though! i kept sipping and sipping and oh lord my face kept getting punched so i was like....alright let's just man up and down this sucker. BAD MOVE. X_X. Brain decided to take a 5 hour nap. Woke up...and ITS STILL UNFINISHED!!! PLZ JUsT END!! 2nd curbside attempt -Loco Moco Burger -Banana bread cake x i'm calling it quits on the drinks. it's just not the same level as tBR (older sibling) Parking: structure just north of the block is a couple bucks an hour ticket place. and supposedly there's a "free 2hr" corner lot across from them/ice rink but it's very limited in space. Service: always a pleasure. For curbside they'll bring it out to the curb but the street doesn't really have per se like an expanded area to wait, so if you're there for long, you could totally be blocking traffic cuz people are turning into the small 2 becoming 1 lane street. And i hate idling my car, 10minutes of idling? We're killing the planet (and she's having her revenge now). Nah i'll park at the open lot and just walk over, i need the exerFRIES anyways. -apparently i saved this andnever posted I apology. Im coming back today and i anticipate itll still be awesome.
