This has been my favorite acai spot after Ubatuba. I've been to multiple locations of theirs and their cheese bread recipe is pretty consistent. I really love the Brazilian pastries that açai stores always offer. This location has a pretty tight parking so it's a hit or miss. Staff is friendly and services is fast. Cheese bread will take a while so I always order the cheese bread in advance at all locations. this location has limited seats. read more

I stopped by Açaí Republic in Orange today before Pilates. I've been a loyal fan ever since I first tried them in Hawaii, making them my go-to spot despite the higher prices. Unfortunately, today was disappointing. My sister and I had a BOGO coupon, and the employee seemed reluctant to honor it, initially saying she needed manager approval before agreeing--as long as both bowls were identical. We ordered the Hawaiian Açaí Bowl (no coconut, adding Nutella, powdered milk, almonds, and honey) through the app. When we got our order, the portions were noticeably smaller than usual, and my bowl had coconut despite my explicit request. The granola goes on the bottom so you get the smallest amount of açaí and the fruit toppings don't exceed the top of the bowl. The açaí is also not the best; extremely sour to the point of bitter. Looking for a good smoothie place near my work. Came across Acai Republic since it's near OC farm supply. It's fresh and, although expensive, holds up to local comparison for quality and price. I thought this would be my go-to-spot as they have an app where you can order ahead but it seems there are some issues. They are very accommodating, but they are also always very busy and so run into issues very often it seems. I'll keep coming as they are so kind and good quality fruit. The first time I ordered through yelp and she recommended that I use the app next time to order ahead. They were short one ingredient that was very easily replaced, that did mean that they did not make my order ahead of time and I had to wait, but it's understandable as they wanted to know what I wanted to replace it. The second time I ordered through the app and when I arrived, I was told it wasn't quite ready yet despite ordering at least 10 minutes ahead. She finished making up the orders that she had in store and then called me up to the counter to let me know that a major ingredient in the smoothie I ordered wasn't available. She listed a number of options and things that she could do to replace it and, to be honest, I was a bit overwhelmed and not sure what I should do as I just wanted something that was approximate and the same price so it was fair. She was flustered and it was real awkward handoff although she gave me extra ingredients and a pretty bag. All this is to say that it's not very convenient to order ahead here as they are very often short ingredients and prioritize in-shop orders. read more

Honestly, I have never had any interest in an açaí bowl. I try to not consume a lot of sugar, etc and if I do, I prefer to consume it via salty/savory foods. I just got a surgery last week and I was at home recovering and I have the most amazing family and friends who dropped off a bunch of food but, for some reason, I wanted an açaí bowl! My husband was at work and I'm not about to drive so soon after my surgery so I ordered it from Postmates. I rarely order for delivery because I'm not lazy and don't have an excuse. I don't have kids, etc lol and I rather pay all the money to the restaurant instead of all these fees. Anyways, the times I have ordered for delivery haven't always made paying the fees worth it. This time it did! I'm shocked lol - the acai bowl was filled to the brim. It was so tasty. I enjoyed the different textures. I felt so healthy LOL - green juice - I had a sip and it was good but, I was full so I put it in the fridge. Tbh, still good the next day - ham and cheese empanada - because balance hahaha it sounded good and it was still warm when I got it so it was also really good. Acai Republic - Orange (Near Chapman) Stopped by Acai Republic and honestly, I don't think I'll be coming back. The spot is small and a little stuffy, with only a couple of tables, and the vibe felt mismatched--reggae/Brazilian music playing and MMA on the screen. Now, the whole ordering experience was a bit of a mess. There was a giant kiosk that initially looked like an advertisement, and we couldn't figure out that it was actually where you place your order. Once we realized, we ran into the issue that the menu had some confusing options, and there was no one at the counter to answer any questions. One employee came out, waved in our direction, pointed at the screen, and walked away. A little disappointing--I get the whole self-serve kiosk thing for convenience, but you're really missing out on the human connection here. Another thing--I'm not a fan of the cashless policy. While I get the reasoning behind it, not everyone uses credit or debit cards, and excluding cash as an option seems like a missed opportunity. Everyone should be able to order, not just those with a credit card. Plus, customer service is about more than just efficiency, it's about engagement, and without that face-to-face interaction, the whole experience felt pretty flat. A quick greeting, a "How's your day going?" or some help with the menu can really make a difference--especially when you're new to the place. As for the bowls, we ordered two--one came without the toppings we requested. Not sure if it was a glitch in the app or if they just forgot, but at that point, we weren't going to ask for a fix. The fruit was fresh, but the blueberries were a bit too tart for my liking. We also paid extra for chia pudding, but when it arrived, it was in a tiny 2oz cup. For what we paid, it definitely didn't feel like a fair portion. Overall, the bowls were decent, but they didn't blow me away. The experience didn't feel memorable, and considering the competition around, this place just doesn't stand out enough to make me want to return. Customer service was lacking, the ordering process was frustrating, and it didn't feel like there was any community building happening here. I get that the system is meant for speed and convenience, but if you want to keep customers coming back, a little personal touch goes a long way. The place is fairly newer so the area is still very clean. 2 tables inside to enjoy your food indoors. I've been coming here every other Tuesday for topping Tuesday. The wife and I attended the grand opening and it was great! With most businesses it takes a minute to work out the kinks and logistics, but the place was running smooth straight out of the gate. The staff was friendly, nice modern interior, great vibes, and conveniently located in an ample shopping center. The bowls were prepared with fresh fruit and the baked treats were just as fresh.
