Wow, this is my first time trying these. I ordered classic, chocolate, and guava flavor for galentines day. Every flavor was so delicious, melt in your mouth, buttery, flaky and each one I ate was better than the next. It was a huge hit and we devoured them quickly. The process of ordering was so simple and easy through Instagram and he immediately came out as I drove up for pick up. Would highly recommend!!! read more

I was looking for a sweet special treat for my partner for our anniversary. I came across Sweet Andes page for alfajores and I was not disappointed. I put in my order super last minute luckily they were so sweet and accommodating. The service for sure was a 5/5. They answered all my questions were very communicative and had great recommendations. My favorite alfajor was the coconut one and the original. The flavor was so authentic and the cookies literally melt in your mouth. The classic alfajores have a perfect ratio of crisp and crumble, the filling is smooth, creamy, and decadent. These alfajores find that right balance of richness that isn't too sweet. It's hard to have just one, each had me wanting to indulge in another. The chocolate flavor was a real treat. Its flavors of cocoa and dark chocolate are touched with a bit of espresso, giving its flavor a wonderful complexity and depth. These elicit warm cozy vibes with each bite. I love these alfajores!!! Sweet Andes has not only a great selection but all of their flavors are delicious. My personal favorites are the classic, coconut, and the guava. I don't even like guava all that much but it is the perfect amount of guava and complements the shortbread & cajeta very well. I bought two of these boxes and gave one to my mom and sister to share. ALFAJORES! Okay so these traditional Peruvian cookies are legitimately out of this world. Different flavors available! I've tried the classic (dulce de leche), chocolate and churro. I can't stop ordering or eating these. My personal favorite is classic but I'm super into dulce de leche. I need to go back and try the guava and the chocolate dipped. They are soft and perfectly balanced in all the flavors. They make a perfect gift too, and the presentation is perfect to take with you straight to gift, but you will definitely need to order a second box so you can eat them on the way. I was able to pick up a 24 pack of alfajores today after just ordering them last night which was great. My mom fell in love with alfajores and we've been looking for a place who sells them but wondered if any would taste as good as the real thing but I have to say these are amazing and just melt in your mouth! There's a variety of flavors to choose from, I got classic, coconut, chocolate, matcha and guava which were all so delicious and go great with my coffee. Best alfajores I've tried outside of Peru. Most places sell the classic ones but most of the time they're just ok or they're not fresh. We are a family-owned bakery in Orange, CA with South American roots from Peru and Ecuador. We created our business out of passion in baking Alfajores, the most popular pastry cookie in South America and specifically, Peru. We worked to take a generational Peruvian recipe and perfected it further. We strive to innovate with new flavors and locally sourced ingredients. We are available for individual orders and catering to events such as parties and weddings. We bake to order and have all permits and licenses required from the county of Orange to provide our customers the best experience possible from our cottage bakery. We consistently work to bring new flavors and twists on classic Alfajores.

Meet the Business Owner: J E.

Jesse is the son of Ecuadorian parents who immigrated to California at a very young age. By the age of 9, Jesse knew how to make empanadas and llapingachos by hand. He would watch his centenarian grandmother “Kika” roll, fold, and curl empanada dough with ease and he loved every minute of it. He later married his Peruvian wife who shared a generational Peruvian Alfajor recipe. At that moment he knew he had to master the art of Alfajor making and bring it to Orange County. His goal is to make the Peruvian Alfajor popular in Orange County through quality and innovation of flavors from his home bakery to consumers.

I called the Orange location to place an order, but they informed me that custom orders needed to be placed through the Garden Grove location and provided me with their contact information. When I called Garden Grove, I requested 24 funfetti-flavored cupcakes decorated with a rainbow theme. I wasn't particular about the exact design but specified that they should include rainbows or have colorful decorations. The person taking my order assured me that I would receive a call the following weekend to confirm the design. That call never came, but I assumed "rainbow" was a clear enough instruction. The week before my scheduled pickup, I called to confirm my order and requested to add six more cupcakes. I specifically asked, "These will be rainbow, right?" and was told yes. On the pickup day, my husband retrieved the cupcakes, but the six additional ones I had ordered the previous week were missing. Staff had to quickly add them that morning, and while understandable, they ended up being vanilla instead of funfetti. However, none of the cupcakes--neither the original 24 nor the additional six--had any rainbow decorations or color at all. Additionally, the boxes provided for the cupcakes have a perforated middle designed to keep them in place, but it was flimsy and sagged in the box, causing nearly all of the cupcakes to fall over during transport to the party. While the cupcakes themselves tasted good, I was disappointed by the order confusion, lack of decoration, and the fact that they arrived smashed. Unfortunately, I can't recommend this place.
