Came here with some friends for Afternoon Tea on a Saturday. We made a reservation for 12:30pm. Check-in was easy and quick. Since it was raining, we were seated indoors. Our server came to explain the menu and tea choices. Unfortunately, they were out of some teas, but they have a seasonal tea menu to make up for it. There were four of us and we all got the Afternoon Tea set. The teas we chose were the Coconut Milk Green Tea, Blueberry Pie Green Tea, Earl Grey Lavender, and Cherry Rose Rooibos. The teas came out first followed by the food items. We were told to let the teas steep for 4 minutes before pouring them. They were all great, but the favorite for us was the Coconut Milk Green Tea. It was creamy, smooth, and milky with a nice coconut flavor. The Blueberry Pie Green Tea tasted like a blueberry pie. We did not feel that the blueberry flavor was artificial. The Earl Grey Lavender was more Earl Grey than lavender. There might have been a subtle lavender flavor. The Cherry Rose Rooibos was surprisingly flavorful. We were able to taste both the cherry and rose. The food items were all solid. Our favorite sandwiches are the Chicken Salad and Cucumber ones. The breads for all the sandwiches were soft and fluffy, but they held up well. The scones were crunchy but not dry, and the jam was delicious. The fruit tart was mediocre. The pastry was soggy, affecting the texture of the tart. The macaron was not as chewy as others I have had in thr past, but was not too sweet. I did not try the donut so cannot comment on it. Overall, giving Morning Lavender Cafe a 4.5/5. Service is great and staff are quick and attentive. The teas were all good and most of the food is solid with exception of a couple of bites. It is a cute spot for hanging out or having an event such as a bridal shower or birthday. Would recommend to others and would return for Afternoon Tea or other items.

We must be on a Vietnamese food kick this week, because for the second time this week we wanted…read moresome spring rolls, but this time we went for a little more authentic and we wanted Grilled Pork spring rolls, so the best place I know is Brodard's in Fountain Valley. This place is very popular evident by the crowds of people. This time I did not forget to get on the Yelp waitlist to shorten the physical wait time there. We got seated within five minutes from our arrival. As soon as we were sat, Tao Nguyen was our server snd you right away knew that he was a seasoned server. Not a100% sure of our order, he suggested right away some appetizers to get those going. When he came back to bring our drinks, our appetizer was served and we also placed our complete order. For as busy as they are here, the food came out very timely and everything as expected. For Asian restaurants, once our food was brought out, I did not expect anyone to stop by and check on us, but was I wrong. This lovely young lady who was not even our server came by to check on us if we needed anything and just in time to ask for some containers and a question. She even came back to refill my water. We were very happy with what we ordered. Two of the three items were our usual grilled pork spring rolls and the Shaken Beef with garlic noodles. The filet mignon is always so tender and prepared perfectly. We tried something new as well which was the tofu seaweed salad. Very light and refreshing, but next time we will probably 86 the mint leaves. Brodard is a definite must try for some good old Vietnamese food.

The servers and service were really good as well! We ordered the nem nuong spring rolls which they are known for! We also ordered the garlic noodle shaking beef and banh knot. The nem nuong spring rolls were really nice and crunchy! There are no rice noodles in the roll so it makes it extra crunchy and I think they put crispy wonton skin in it to get that extra crunch. Would recommend! The sauce was really nice as well. The shaking beef had really good flavor and it was nice with the mushrooms and onions. The garlic noodles were a nice texture as well but it was a bit greasy tbh. Overall good but I think I could find better elsewhere! The bank khot was okay but it was a little grainy and didn't have much meat. It was also on the softer side, and I do prefer a crisp, so maybe next time I would get the banh xeo for the lace. Overall I would come back for the spring rolls and maybe the shaking beef with rice!

It's a very intimate cute little bakery shop and usually they are pretty busy. However, this time round I came in the middle of the day on a Wednesday so it was pretty slow. I want to say it is family owned, but I'm not quite sure about that. I got their carrot cake, blueberry lemon cake, a fruit tart, and a cream puff. Carrot cake - 5/5 it's perfectly sweetened with the balanced of the cream cheese. My boyfriend usually orders this. Blueberry lemon cake - 5/5 I haven't tried it yet, but I did have a little taste test of the frosting, and I like the sweet tartness from that. Fruit tart - 3.5/5 The actual crust of the fruit tart is a bit overly sweetened for my taste. Almost as sweet as a typical cookie. The cream was standard and the fruit is seasonal so that can change the quality. Cream puff - 4/5 It wasn't anything special for me, but it did satisfy my sweet tooth. The cream inside is standard whipped cream, and the outside is a bit dry and crusty instead of soft.

We ordered a custom cake for my goddaughter's birthday, and while the cake itself was delicious, the service and execution were disappointing. Brooke was incredibly kind, friendly, and helpful. Unfortunately, the other employee we dealt with was rude, kept interrupting us, and did not seem interested in actually listening to the detailed instructions we gave for the cake. When the final product came out, it was a completely different color than what we had asked for. Brooke did apologize and even mentioned she could help with reimbursement, which I appreciated. The other staff member, on the other hand, did not apologize at all and acted as though the mistake was somehow our fault. I was also told I would receive a callback about the issue, but that never happened. If you want a quick pastry or dessert, this place is probably a solid choice because the products do taste good. But if you need a custom cake for an important event, I would not trust them with it again.
