I was excited to try some of these viral treats that I have seen all over socials. Specifically the Dubai chewy cookie. I waited the 15 minutes that the staff recommended, and the texture was spot on. As for flavor, it was slightly nutty but other than that didn't really have much of a Dubai type flavor. The chocolate didn't come through too much and the pistachio flavor was very light. I had the feeling this would be an expensive touristy type food stand, and I feel like I was right. The treats here are interesting sounding and beautiful to look at, but in the end I think it is an expensive 'viral treat' trap. I personally don't think I will try this place again. read more

We came here at 10PM after walking around downtown Disney. It's a street kiosk and they have a hugeeee selection of macarons. They had some of the most diverse types of flavors we've seen. However, whatever the name, they look like a beautiful rainbow on display grabbing your attention while at Disneyland, right by the World of Disney store. Macarons can be bought singularly or come in boxes of 6 or 12 with more classic flavors like earl grey and pistachio but then they have SO many fun & cool flavors. Tried the popular dubai chewy cookie here for $9. Seen this all over social media and it's always soft and gooey and looks amazing. I got the opposite. It was hard as a rock, totally frozen. I waited and waited it would barely defrost and I was hungry so I ate it and it was lackluster. Not to crunchy, cold, no port gooey melt in your experience I expected. Too bad ! read more

Decided to get a snowman macaroon while wandering in downtown Disney. It was the perfect flavor of vanilla and peppermint, and almost too cute to eat! I have tried multiple Dubai chocolate chewies from different places but the one from Kayla's cakes is by far the best. The outer layer is soft and melts right when I bite into it. Each of the flavors were delicious without it being overly sweet and was really a great experience overall. The texture for these macarons are the best I've ever had and I can not recommend these enough. The service was amazing and following their suggestion we waited until it was thawed and it did not disappoint. Great macaroons and many great flavors, but over all too expensive for a one bit treat. There's no doubt their flavors are good, but I've had specialty ones in malls they cost less and taste better. The location probably causes the price spikes all around like wetzels next to them is $3 more for a pretzel. So it's not entirely their fault. The young lady who works there was the worst. She was so rude. Treated us as if we were trying to steal from her. As I was making my payment she put her hand on our ice cream macarons when my 8 y/o son tried to get his. Then as I was getting ready to leave I grabbed a napkin which were right in front of us on the counter for my son and I. As a paying customer I felt that I didn't need permission to ask for something like that but this rude employee said to us "next time ask it." I was in shock because I didn't feel I did anything wrong. My only response was "wow" and walked away. After that experience at the "Happiest Place on Earth" which turned sour I will never go there again and be mistreated. read more

Stopped by for water and a free macaron with our Yelp check-in. The staff was so friendly. We came near closing time and they were still helpful in giving recommendations on which flavor to pick. The cart was neat and the macarons were beautiful. Our Earl Grey didn't taste strong in tea flavor; there was just a hint of it but no complaints here. $32 for a dozen regular flavored is expensive for macacons, but luckily if you have YELP and check-in you get a FREE Macaron with any purchase. If I had known that, I would have just paid for a regular one that $2.75 and redeemed my free macaron for their $3.60 special one. Instead I spent $41.20 on 12 Macarons and only saved $2, which is way better than saving 50¢ on buyin only 6. They had their special seasonal box, but it was $34.99 and it wasn't worth trying those when I really came for these 4 flavors: Unicorn, Cookie Monster, S'mores & Creme Brûlée. Unicorn: It's super cute, but don't let this cute design fool you by paying $3.50 because all it is, is a cute design and lacks any special filling flavor. It tastes like a butter cream filling and a regular macaroon cookie. Cute as hell, great texture (as in it wasn't soggy and held its crispy outside but chewy inside) but not worth the $3.50 if I'm getting a plain flavored macaron with no special filling, and it being a unicorn. Cookie Monster: They had a mini cookie cereal in the filling to stick out. That lil cookie cereal was stale, but for the most part, the macaron still tasted crispy on the outside & chewy in the inside. Though, not much filling which I wanted to taste more of that. It was more macaron that I tasted and not a even or overall blend of the filling & cookie part combined. I honestly couldn't tell it was at all a cookies & cream flavor tbh pretty much tasted like any ordinary macaron filling but with better texture. I wish it had a better distinct flavor to justify for the $3.50 I spent on this besides thinking I paid more just for the way it looks. Créme Brûlée: This is what I'm talking about now with a good filing!!! This here YELPERS is what I think is width $3.50!!! It has a nice hard sugar flamed on top of the macaron, giving it that real créme brûlée like shell, and the caramel & créme brûlée filling was delicious. You can definitely taste the distinct difference in this cookie from the others (that only looked cute but had only a buttercream filling). This I would get again. Pricey but it for sure stands out. S'mores: I wasn't sure if they would exceed my expectations because a lot of times, things that claim to be S'mores isn't at all like eating the real thing. Though I got of say, I really did like this one. It didn't have a frosting filling but instead the filling was a marshmallow between two macaron and one of the macaron cookie was blue. Not sure if that's what all of them looked like, but I enjoyed this a lot. It reminded me of eating like chocolate rice krispy worlds finest bar, or like a crunch chocolate bar. This was the most expensive one out of the 5 I got, at $3.60 a pop but it was pretty good. read more

We saw these guys in Downtown Disney and had to give them a try. My wife loves macaroons and I love making her happy. She really wanted to try the unicorn, curious what flavor it was. We got a fruity pebbles, a caramel, and a unicorn. Caramel was amazing and I regretted not buying another one. We put in our fridge at the hotel and soon regretted not checking it before departing. Wow. Just delicious!! These little bits of heaven are delectable. And beautiful. And packed with flavor. My little and I got creme brûlée, strawberry unicorn, smores, earl grey, galaxy caramel (beautifully airbrushed with gold leaf omg), and Oreo cheesecake. Wow. Such a great deal, and with a Yelp checkin we got one free! So for 6 macarons it was about $14, which is awesome! Each were individually sealed and from the holding fridge so handling of them was super minimal. Card and contactless only, the attendant was wearing a mask and gloves. Super friendly. Some onlookers need to back off and not crowd the waiting area but nothing on kayla's. I hope this place stays through the pandemic.
