I really wanted to love this bakery, but unfortunately my experience fell short. From the start, communication was difficult. I reached out multiple times through Instagram DMs and didn't receive a response until my third attempt. Even after that, responses were very slow. I should have taken that as a sign, but I decided to move forward anyway. Smh. When I went into the shop to place my deposit, the in-store staff was actually very sweet and welcoming. The cashier wrote down my cake request and we went over the details, which made me feel more confident despite the earlier communication issues. However, two weeks went by without any follow-up. It wasn't until two days before my scheduled pickup that I received a call asking what cake flavor I wanted. That moment really concerned me, since I assumed this would have been asked when my order details were originally taken. It made me feel like something may have been missed or overlooked. I missed that call while at work but replied to their follow-up text asking what flavor options were available and didn't hear back for another 24 hours. The next day, around 4pm (the day before my bday party) they called again, and I ended up choosing their "most popular" birthday cake flavor, Birthday Cake. My pickup was scheduled for 12pm. At 11:57am that day, I received a text saying the cake wasn't ready and would be closer to 1pm... I was already at the parking lot. When I finally received the cake, I was disappointed. The colors were very off from the reference photo I shared. We had agreed to adjust the red to a white tone, but I didn't expect it to look so different overall. They didn't add the bows like the reference photo and the cherries they put in looked ugly, so did the "1995" numbers. My cake was so off from what we had agreed on. On top of that, the taste and quality didn't meet expectations. The cake reminded me of a boxed cake mix, similar to Pillsbury Funfetti , rather than something that felt bakery-made. I truly hope this was just my experience. I understand this may be a busy time of year, and that could have played a role. My family and I found out about Sweets Stop when we attended one of the Farmer's Markets in Fullerton. They had an assortment of desserts! We got some really cool sugar cookies (Pokémon cards and Spiderman/Venom) and brownies. We were impressed by the flavor and quality. Recently, I ordered 2 dozen sugar cookies for a party and they did such an incredible job! I reached out to this business for specific candy apples via instagram. Primary conversation was via instagram as I had no clue this was also a storefront. The last communication I received from this business was to tell me the chocolate on the candy apples had "reacted" and there were white spots on the chocolate part of the candy apples. I was told they would all have to be remade and I would be notified when ready. This is where the issues occurred. The communication was not made and it was the night before I needed them. I reached out via instagram and no one responded. They had already charged me for the full order when I placed the order and now they were not answering. I was able to finally get ahold of them and after much back and forth the product was terrible. The chocolate still had spots on it. When we told the business we were not happy with the product, they said there was nothing they could do and to "turn the candy apple around" because it was only on one side. My only regret has been not visiting this spot sooner. I went into it expecting to find ice cream and cake. I came out with that and more. The Dole soft serve with the color changing spoon changed my life. I got the pineapple/strawberry duo, nothing better. Thick chocolate rich brownies, sugar glazed cotton candy, delicious caramel apples - anyone with a sweet tooth or craving will be satisfied here. The reasonable prices reflect the top notch quality. Super friendly staff, they will give you every ounce of information about their sweets. Even if you dont see it on display, I bet you they have it or can make it! Sooo, I learned today is National Caramel Apple Day. I happened to be up in the Buena Park area and Yelped which shop(s) had a good one nearby. I drove here because it's rated #5 in OC. The shopkeepers were surprised because they did not know of this 'holiday' nor their ranking. At least 25-30% of their sweets look to be hand-dipped apples. Plus, they have dipped Oreos, decorated cookies, cakes, doggie treats and more. I told them I specially wanted to support small business instead of say Rocky Mtn Chocolate Factory. They told me (and showed me in comparison), their apples are much larger than theirs and have gained more customers because of this! I bought one rocky road apple, one dog treat and one decorated cookie. Thanks Sweet Stop-I will recommend to my family and friends for sure. read more

I came across this place on instagram a couple years ago and decided to check them out. I like their cookies and macarons. This year for my birthday I decided to reach out for custom macarons. Food 5 out of 5 When I ordered these I was told that it wouldn't look exactly like the character but they would get a close as possible. I was blown away by these macarons. They are of the Disney Wish Star. They came out pretty close and were delicious. Definitely recommend getting your macarons from here. Ambiance 5 out of 5 If you love cartoon characters then this is the place for you. It has a very cute and fun environment. Service 5 out of 5 Service is always great. When I made my order they were very patient and explained their process and how they normally do macarons. I put my order in 2-3 weeks before I needed them and they were able to accommodate. Debating if I should give them a lower star rating. Cute cookies but they did not do what I asked/ very clearly communicated to them and there was pretty bad communication on their part. Seems like they did not have time to make my order and should not have taken it. It sucks to have paid a pretty penny for something I did not ask for. A couple days before the event I was having and needed cookies for, they asked to move the pick up date to a day later (aka the actual day of the event). I said yes and responded with a time to pick up before the event and did not hear from them again until the day of the event, after it started. The pick up time worked out because I was busy with planning the event and the cookies were the last thing on my mind, but this definitely could have been a big issue in any other situation and regardless is extremely unprofessional. Upon pick up, the cookies weren't even ready to go, they were still packing them. I had someone else pick up the cookies for me because i was busy with the event and once I saw them I noticed that they got all of the colors completely wrong. I had sent them a very detailed drawing of the cookies I asked for with specific colors for each one and also sent reference/ inspiration pictures of what I wanted and they either did not pay attention to the colors I wanted or there was poor communication between their employees. The cookies ended up being in a Completely different color palette than the event I was hosting which was a bummer but they still looked cute on their own, they tasted okay- probably some of the worst sugar cookies I've had but I don't think that's saying much bc sugar cookies usually don't taste great. I was debating whether I should even make a review and was struggling with what to rate them but in my opinion, getting the colors wrong on an order for sugar cookies (which people basically only buy for the appearance) is a pretty bad mistake on their part. Their communication was very bad about the order details and about pick up so I almost feel obligated to write a review about it. Sheeeeesh! Best news I've had in a while! SweetsStop has that delicious pineapple dole whip! No more Disneyland trips, just a quick 2 minute drive for that fresh sweet pineapple whip. Stopped by today after craving some chamoy candy and man did i stumble upon a gem! Service was great, the young man was super helpful, informative and welcoming. The shop is in a little shopping center on Chapman next to a tattoo shop and Pita Hot, but it's super clean and inviting. I got myself some chamoy dip and some candies along with a dulce de leche cup, don't even know where to start on describing the flavors.
