I have to say, I was fascinated to learn the history of the Yemeni coffee culture and it's global footprint. Anyways, for my first visit, I ordered the Adeni chai and honeycomb bread. The tea was incredible and I loved the combination of spices. It also paired well with the honeycomb bread, which was similar to a warm brioche filled with cream cheese and drizzled with honey. My second visit I tried their signature Qamaria latte and biscoff milk cake. Unfortunately, I was not a fan of the latte, which tasted overly bitter. I'm not sure if it was just prepared incorrectly that day, but it felt like they're significantly better at brewing tea than making coffee. Regardless, even with the lackluster coffee, my second visit was still a success thanks to the biscoff milk cake. She mentioned that the display case of desserts was exactly that - a display of their offerings and that the actual desserts would be brought from the back kitchen. I decided to get a cookie butter latte (which comes iced) and both a sea salt chocolate chip cookie and a strawberry mousse. I sat at a table and dived in. The latte was decent, although both the espresso and the cookie butter flavors were a bit weak. The cookie was fantastic, a big, fat mound full of chips. The mousse was presented in a cute strawberry shape, the coating covering a delicious frothy cream and a strawberry filling. I enjoyed my desserts here and took note of their large selection of macarons, something I'll have to try on my next visit.

I got so many pastries. There were no misses. My favorite of the bunch was the blueberry cake. The cake wasn't too sweet, was moist, fluffy, and tasty. I enjoyed the matcha cheesecake, garlic sea salt bread, and raspberry cruffin as well. I also grabbed an egg bacon bread and regular sea salt bread to-go for future breakfasts. Warmed up, these were great in the morning! To drink I had the Banana Pudding Matcha Latte which was not too sweet and yummy! Good matcha flavor and the banana pudding was creamy. Mixed together, it was good. I also enjoyed the crunchy bits in there as well as the real banana slices. I got it at the small size, but the portion was generous. It went well with the pastries. There's some inside seating and tables as well as a bathroom available. There is lots of free parking around the bakery. I went in the afternoon on a Sunday and it was still packed! I love how the bakers were constantly baking even in the afternoon, so they brought out fresh batches of their pastries. Overall, a great bakery and I would recommend it to anyone visiting the Fullerton area.

The variety is definitely one of the strongest points here. We tried the Matcha Cruffin, Onion Cream Bread, and Three Cheese Bagel. The Onion Cream Bread was the best of the three. The cream was light and balanced well with the bread, but the onion flavor was pretty much lost. I could barely taste it. The Matcha Cruffin was disappointing. There was matcha powder on top, but absolutely no matcha filling inside. I'm not sure if they changed the recipe or simply missed the filling in ours, but for something sold as a matcha cruffin, I expected an actual matcha presence beyond the topping. The Three Cheese Bagel, made with cheddar, cream cheese, and mozzarella, had good flavor but the texture was much too hard. We were dining in and had it warmed up, yet the bread was still tough and the cheese inside had already hardened. Service was fine, but nothing stood out. Overall, great selection and a nice space, but the pastries we tried were inconsistent.
