Amazing place. Best Thai for miles around. Not that sweetened Americanized stuff. Beware the spice!

Moving away from spots that are authentic to certain dishes. I have been craving papaya salad for the longest & I haven't found the right spot in this area living in Brea now. I took a chance at this location and I have been obsessed with the Lao papaya salad . I have ordered it on a weekly bases, sometimes twice a week. I even called if they could add or customize a bit more for the salad and they were so kind to accommodate . I have only ordered on uber eats or doordash . I don't mind paying for the extra crab or cabbage but unfortunately there's no option on it . But they were so kind to add it this time for me . Great customer service . It's been so good. It pains me to write this because we dine here with clients at least twice a week. Well... Friday was the last straw. There was a younger girl with purple or pink hair and glasses. I was having my lunch and she comes to remove the hot sauce away from our table. Mind you, the restaurant was not busy for almost 12 pm, which is unusual. I didn't care that she took it, it's how pushy she was about it. Then, my friend asks for a to go box and she picks up her plates, but I am still eating. I felt rushed by her when I am clearly eating and she asks if "I'm done". That was my breaking point. We go to lunch to relax and enjoy a meal. Not feel rushed. I told her she was being too pushy and asked her to go away. She walks away and as soon as she is behind me, she says sorrryyyyy with an attitude. That was uncalled for. When I went to give the other guy feedback, she was right there, being rude, listening in. This is NOT the service we have ever received. We average about 500 dollars a week in lunches between clients and different colleagues of mine. You can consider that revenue gone and multiple clients lost. What happened to the other servers? We come by to eat our Sunday family dinner here every few months. Food is okay. We like the bangkok breeze drink. Main complaint is the waiting time-- to get a table, service and food. You can reserve a table via yelp but those wait times are not accurate at all. Food can take awhile especially if they're busy. My husband thinks they are severely understaffed. Make sure to order all the food you want at the start. If you decide to add dessert/ additional entree/ additional appetizer mid meal, good luck waiting for your food. read more

I've dined here a couple more times since my last review and wanted to update it. Everything we ordered was good: papaya salad, pineapple fried rice, Penang curry, and Crying Tiger. The Crying Tiger did take quite a while to come out. The employees checked on us a few times and told us it was almost ready, but we ended up waiting longer each time. By the time it arrived, we were basically done eating, and the meat wasn't very hot either. The staff did apologize, but it was still a little disappointing. I'll still come back since I've enjoyed my previous visits, but hopefully the wait is better next time. read more

This place was so good that I came here twice within the same month! I ordered the pad Thai lunch special the first time and the pad see ew lunch special the second time. I really enjoyed the pad see ew. It was flavorful and filling with a slight smoky flavor. The noodles are a good texture and the flavor itself is very ideal for this dish. 10/10 would recommend to anyone craving Thai food and looking for a lunch special! Solid thai spot!!! We got their takeout drunken noodles, roti curry, and papaya salad and all of them were so good! They do not hold back on the spice and flavor! I love getting their side of spiced vinegar to give some acidity. My favorite out of the three was the roti curry, the roti was flakey and crispy which complimented so well with the curry. We would come back just for the Thai tea alone! Along with that we order the Thai omelet curry soup, chicken satay, Thai fried rice, and four of their new menu items. I absolutely love this place! This is my favorite place to go when I'm craving Thai Food. It's such a cozy place. This place does get busy so I do recommend securing a reservation if you plan on coming. For starters, the staff is always so nice. They constantly checking up on you to make sure everything is okay. When it comes to the food. Honestly, everything is so good and flavorful! Every time I come I always order something new to try. This time around I tried the Roti Curry which is a crispy flatbread served with curry sauce. This is such a great starter if you want something flavorful but also light before an entree. The Thai Papaya Salad is also a great starter if you want something refreshing but with that kick of spice. My favorite dish will always be Pad Kee Mao (Drunken Noodles). I love how it has that spicy kick to it. Another favorite dish of mine will be the Crying Tiger. The meat is always cooked perfectly and pairing it with the sour Thai dipping sauce is so good!! Manon is a Thai restaurant in Fullerton that faces the street, though it's easy to miss if you're not looking closely. Despite being relatively new in the community, it has already built quite a crowd. We finally stopped by for dinner and ended up waiting about 39 minutes for a table a couple tables were reserved and not enough staff to clean some empty tables. The area is very tight as the restaurant is trying to squeeze in as many tables as possible. The entrance has a shelf that sells local Thai treats. Even with the crowd, the staff worked hard to quickly accommodate the crowd. Once we were seated, service moved fast and efficiently. The servers quickly take your orders so don't browse the menu too long, as they moved so quickly that it was best to order everything you needed at once because you might not see them again until it was time for the bill. read more

I ordered takeout, so I can't comment on the dine-in experience. I got a few orders of pad see ew and the portion sizes were solid. We were so hyped to come here. My family loves Thai food so we always look forward to good Thai spots and this was on the list. We came on a Wed evening right before the evening rush. There was ample parking. The staff seated us right away and we're very friendly! The place is cute! We tried their Thai tea flight. Overall, it was just ok. There were 2 milky ones and 2 fruity ones. The milky ones were the only ones we liked. We ordered a pork belly with Chinese broccoli, pad see ew, crab fried rice and a fried fish dish. The pork belly in the dish was not crispy. The pad see ew wasn't very flavorful. The crab fried rice came late and wasn't very crabby. The best thing we had was the fried fish with lemon grass. If your craving Thai food and in the Yorba Linda/fullerton area. This is a great place for Thai food. I usually go to get Thai food in garden grove, but this place satisfy my Thai cravings. Pulling up to this spot, the front parking lot area is limited but there is plenty behind the plaza. Service: waiters our attentive and give good recommendation. I came around 12:30pm and it was busy. We got our first dish 15 minutes after we ordered. I wish they were able to get it all out within each other since we had 4 people in our party. Hm I have mixed feelings about this place now. I came back a second time but with my pops after telling him how tasty the food was. We both enjoyed the food but the service was lacking. I get that they are busy but that's no excuse for subpar service. I came around 520 to get a table for 2. I walked in with one small table left and was sat soon and water after. When I asked for 2 more minutes before I order, I wasn't helped until another 10 minutes. My dad came right when I was ordering drinks and they were out of any creamy based teas even though they weren't closed until another 3+ hours. I ended up getting a coke and the waiter didn't even bother asking what my dad wanted to drink so I called her back immediately. Im sorry, but im not waiting another 10 minutes just to order again. Although we ordered 2 coke drinks, they brought out only one coke, so we gave a reminder. While we waited, we asked to be moved to a bigger table because of the amount of food we ordered and eventually we were moved. The tom yum soup came out and even though I asked for seafood, they gave us shrimp only so we returned it. When the soup returned, we asked twice for our rice bowl and it took a total of 20 minutes for a bowl of rice. Around 630 our final items came out which was the grilled squid and morning glory. 2 male workers came by and apologized for the delay and treated us to desserts, which was appreciated. However, after that we also had a laos style papaya salad takeout for my dad's friend. I opened it to check it and saw that they gave one bit of salty crab meanwhile the table next to us who ordered the same salad got many pieces from what I saw. That's just annoying given the salad was over $15. They probably were running out of the crab and had one claw piece left and added it to the salad and called it a day or did it for whatever reason. Either way, it reflects poorly on the business. If it wasn't for my dad being apprehensive, I wouldnt have mind saying something. Manon was delicious!! I am satisfied my Thai food craving right away . We came about an hour before closing after a game, and we were lucky enough to be seated immediately and get our food quickly. The staff was so sweet and attentive, which made the experience even better. The inside is also super cute, with lots of little trinkets and snacks that add to the vibe. It's definitely a great spot to take someone. I didn't even realize Fullerton had a place like this! As for the food, everything was amazing. Got the Khao Soi and Broccoli stir fried to share!! I looooove khao soi and this one definitely didn't disappoint. The broth was a perfect thickness-- good curry sauce to soup ratio :) There was also a decent amount of chicken, cooked perfectly might I add. The Broccoli stir fried comes with rice and choice of protein as well, but we opted out of the protein option. Manon has a really nice ambiance, and my first visit was great: the food was solid and the staff was friendly. Unfortunately, my second visit was a completely different experience. I placed an order through their website 30 minutes in advance and arrived during the scheduled pickup window. The staff struggled to find my order, and once they did, it was clear they hadn't started preparing it. They then told me they had just run out of one of the items I ordered, even though another guest was eating that same dish when I arrived. To make matters worse, they said they couldn't refund the unavailable item individually, despite my ordering through their own website. They had to void the entire order and make me place it again. The staff showed little empathy and didn't seem concerned about the inconvenience or the additional wait. A little hidden gem in the city of Fullerton. Food is on point, everything tasted great. I wish portions were more, it's more for single serving style, and not exactly family style. The roti soaks up the curry and suddenly you're wondering why every appetizer doesn't come with a dipping sauce this good. It was easily one of the most memorable bites of the night. I just wish there was a larger portion size of the Roti! Crab Fried Rice (4.5/5) Sometimes simple dishes really do shine the brightest. The rice was perfectly cooked with generous pieces of crab mixed throughout. Nothing overly complicated here, just clean, balanced flavors that let the crab do its thing. Simple. Flavorful. Absolutely delicious. Kra Paw (5/5) Another standout. This stir-fried dish with pork, garlic, chili, onion, and basil came out incredibly fragrant & aromatic. You could smell the basil and garlic immediately. The chili brings a nice kick, while the basil gives the dish that signature Thai herbal depth that ties everything together. Every bite felt bold, savory, and super satisfying. Larb Ped (3.5/5) Definitely leans brighter and more refreshing compared to the other dishes. The duck is tossed with red onion, scallions, lime juice, chili, and roasted rice powder. That roasted rice powder adds this slightly nutty, toasty flavor and a bit of texture, while the lime gives it a tangy citrus punch. It's zesty, herb-forward, and has a light heat that slowly builds. If it was just slightly warmer, I would have given it a higher rating but overall, still a good dish to try. Overall, the food, ambiance, and vibe at Manon made this such a great dining experience. While everything arrived fresh and piping hot, there was too many misses on the flavor front and overall cost for how much food was provided. Here's what I ordered: * Roti Curry Dip: The roti was on the oily side, and the curry was a bit bland. Not terrible but I've definitely had better. * Pad Kee Mao w/ Chicken: The fresh green peppercorns are very visually unappetizing, and the finger root and peppercorns completely overpowered the dish. Probably one of the worst versions of this dish that I've had. * Eggplant w/ Tofu: This was the best dish, and was seasoned really well. It was on the spicier side, but I liked that. * Mixed Vegetables w/ Tofu; Not only was this dish very bland, but the container was half full. I would've expected a veggie dish to be filled with veggies for how much I paid. We love this place and it has quickly become one of our favorite spots for authentic Thai food in Fullerton. During our visit, we ordered the Manon Tower, Lao Style Papaya Salad, Roasted Duck Curry, Kra Paw Nuer (Beef), Pad Kee Mao (Drunken Noodles), and Roti Curry. Every dish was fresh, flavorful, and beautifully prepared. The Roasted Duck Curry was my favorite. The curry was rich and creamy, and the duck was tender and packed with flavor. My kids absolutely loved the Roti Curry. The roti was crispy on the outside, soft on the inside, and perfect for dipping into the curry sauce. One thing to note: even the mild spice level is fairly spicy, so if you're dining with children or don't handle spice well, I recommend ordering no spice. The service was excellent. Everyone was friendly, attentive, and made us feel welcome throughout the meal. Another big plus is the free parking and spacious dining area. It's a great restaurant for a family of four, but it can also easily accommodate larger groups of 8 or more. I would recommend making a reservation, especially on weekends. Food came out pretty quickly. - Penang Nuer (Beef stew): flavor was good but the beef is over cooked and had a livery texture - Grilled Prok Jowl: soft and flavorful not dry at all. Dipping sauce is on point - Naem Khao Tod (crispy fermented park rice salad): flavor was good but the rice was not crispy at all. Was clumpy and mushy.
