I have seen this location when it opened and it always seems busy when I go buy which is great for them. I thought this used to be called something else, maybe Olivia's? Which I recall was good food. Had some friends in town and they wanted something Asian and I thought since I haven't been here yet, why not give it a try. The wait wasn't long for a Saturday (about 10 mins) and the place is really nice and looks a lot smaller on the outside. We ordered some appetizers which were the popcorn chicken (not spicy like Taiwanese style) and spring rolls with shrimp. Both appetizers were delicious, especially the spring rolls with the peanut satay sauce (so good!). I ordered the garlic noodles with shrimp and the noodles were amazing. The shrimp was good but you have to work at them and peel all the shell off which, I'm not a fan of. But after I did all of that and had very messy fingers, they were really good but probably won't order that again for just that reason. They do have a lot of other things to try out anyway so I'm sure there is something else that will be just as delicious. I've been to Omeli twice, and both times, the food was great. The times I have been here, I have ordered the Saltado, Calamari, Shaken Beef Garlic Noodles, and the Ribeye Garlic Noodles. I don't like to compare, but if you've ever been to Vox Kitchen, the type of food is somewhat similar, except Omeli has Pho, which I am yet to try but will try next time, as I've heard great things. The garlic noodles are great, and I think the noodles themselves and the sauce are a standout of the dish by far, and I think are better than Vox's. The calamari here was just alright. Both times I've gotten it, it has come out almost soggy and chewy, like it needed to be in the fryer for another minute, but the flavor was still good. They also have a wide selection of drinks, and I recommend the deja-vu lemonade, it is very refreshing. The one thing I have to knock is the service. Both times I've gone, service has been a bit of miss. The restaurant is pretty small, but it still took a while to get menus and for someone to take our order. The food comes out quick though, but during the meal, no one came to ask how everything was or give water refills, and it took a while after we were done to flag someone down to get the check. We found this popular Vietnamese/Fusion restaurant while visiting Fullerton. We ordered the Shaken beef Garlic noodles, Spicy wontons, and Beef short rib Pho. The Shaken beef was savory and delicious. The noodles had that nice chewy texture I like and the garlic flavor was not overpowering. The beef cubes were very tender & flavorful, and the sautéed bell peppers, onions and mushrooms were cooked perfectly. The Beef Short rib pho was massive. They give extra noodles upon request, but the portion it starts off with is more than enough. The beef is tender and falls off the bone. The noodles were cooked perfect and the broth is very tasty. I feel the only sauce you need to add to your liking is Sriracha for spiciness. The Spicy wontons were okay and had a spicy sauce, but nothing special to it. The restaurant had a good number of tables, and nicely decorated. The service and staff were friendly and attentive, but they were also short staffed. I heard lots of great things about Omeli so when I was in the area I had to stop by. It's a Vietnamese-Peruvian fusion restaurant so I was excited to give it a go. We got there right when it opened so we were able to get any table we wanted. I loved the decor in here, very modern and organic vibes. We ordered: Omeli's Spicy Wonton Chicken Saltado Pho chicken (free additional pho noodles upon request - yay!) Shaken Beef Garlic Noodles Wow...with the exception of the super dry chicken in the pho, everything was great! My kids especially LOVED the shaken beef garlic noodles and the chicken Saltado. Like I said, the chicken in the pho was dry and not good, but the pho broth was great. The noodles were hard when I first got the bowl, but if you let it soak in the broth for a bit, it will eventually soften up. I liked that you get extra noodles if you want more. I ordered the chicken saltado and the salmon garlic noodles were great dishes! I think it's worth the price and to try, the plate was full and presentation looks stunning. Came on a Sunday afternoon around 4pm and was seated quickly. It's a cute corner restaurant, with wood elf vibes - think lots of wood panels and fake plant/vines. service was fast. Ordered the bbq pork spring rolls, pho - short rib, and lomo saltado ($54 with tax). The spring rolls were good but nothing amazing. I really enjoyed the pho, which had two big pieces of short ribs. My fiancé loved his lomo saltado, the steak was super tender and the crinkle fries were crispy! He thought the aji sauce was okay - the proportions were slightly off but still good. Restaurant was a lot smaller than I thought, but it was pretty packed even at 5:30pm on a Friday night, so I assume it probably would be really busy during prime time. I walked in and asked about my online order, which then they told me that "they're still making it" lol.... so honestly the whole placing order ahead of time on their website is kinda wack. Luckily it didn't take tooo long for my order to be ready. There's not seating outside or anything, so I went across the plaza to find a spot to sit down and eat (bc I didn't want to dine alone haha). First bites, the overall flavors of the Lomo Saltado are very nice! The meat was very soft and tender, also very chewy. The fries were well seasoned. The Peruvian Green Sauce was also pretty nice with it, but not really needed since everything in the plate was already so flavorful. Portion size is kinda small for a Lomo Saltado plate, but it definitely filled me up. Met with friends for an early dinner. They picked OMELI Kitchen and it was described to me as Vietnamese Peruvian fusion. No I didn't know what to think, as I have heard of Japanese Peruvian fusion before, but that makes more sense, since Peru has one of the highest population of Japanese, outside of Japan. Regardless I was excited to try this fusion. In the end, I picked Cajun tiger prawns and garlic noodles. The majority of the dishes, seemed to lean towards the Vietnamese side and I was ok with that too. I enjoyed my dish, but it was a bit salty for some reason and I don't know what was Cajun about it, and how that is fusion with Peru. Overall, I enjoyed it, but would lean towards trying something else the next time. The taro Vietnamese ice coffee was ok as well. Not strong in any direction though. Wasn't the best eggrolls I've had, but they were good and I can't complain about fried food lol. * Rib Eye Garlic Noodles: The garlic noodles were delicious and the rib eye was cooked medium to medium rare so you could see the redness in the meat. This entire dish was amazing! Highly recommend. * Vermicelli Lemongrass Pork Bowl: Loved this dish - I usually order this exact dish at all Vietnamese restaurants. * Salmon Garlic Noodles: We literally ordered salmon for health and to be honest, it wasn't great. It was very plain & not super tender - would not recommend this specific order. The green sauce saved it a bit, but the salmon was disappointing both in flavor and texture. Customer service wise, I would say it's just okay to not that great. The servers are pretty rushed - they just put your food down and rush away quickly so I wouldn't say the service is A+. You definitely don't eat here for the service. All in all, I was a bit confused how this is a Peruvian restaurant given we ordered a lot of Vietnamese dishes, but my party of four just didn't order the Peruvian-specific dishes. What's also funny is I bumped into a group of friends here and they mentioned they were here last week as well, so that shows just how good the food is, haha. Came for dinner on a Friday night - smaller restaurant and waited about 30 minutes for a table. Luckily parking lot is big. Ordered the following items: - Popcorn chicken ($9.99) - Pho beef belly ($14.95) - Pho supreme ($18.95) Really enjoyed the popcorn chicken, portion was good! I would recommend the supreme - the meat on the short rib was super tender! Similar to some other pho spots, they give you unlimited pho noodles when you dine in. I know this is strange, but the broth in the beef belly pho and the supreme pho tasted different. The beef belly pho didn't have a strong pho taste, was lighter, and not as good. However, supreme had more flavor and definitely better. My bf agreed as well. Overall, it's a decent spot and the customer service was good. read more

Not the only Vietnamese Peruvian restaurantvwe have tried. Sadly, also not the best Vietnamese Peruvian restaurant we have tried. Got there at one. Took a full hour to get seated as a party of 5. Took a full hour for them to get us our fried rice. Food was too greasy, not balanced, and not as flavorful as other Vietnamese, Peruvian, or Vietnamese/Peruvian restaurants we enjoy. We ordered the shrimp pho with unlimited noodles, the bun, the oxtail fried rice, the lobster garlic noodle, and the lomo salado. I can't say anything stood out or was the best of the item I've tried. Overall, considering the wait and quality I would said it's above average but not great.
