3.5 stars Musubi square is a small walk-in establishment tucked in a retail strip center (NOT on main corner). The menu is primarily made of three things... Musubi, taco masubis, and rice bowls. Ordered the miso salmon Musubi, bbq short rib taco, crispy calamari taco, and grilled unagi taco Firstly, everything tasted really really well done. Flavours were on point and textures and sizes were pretty decent too. Why 3 stars? It's pretty pricey. For nearly $40+ worth of food, you don't feel like you got a meal out of it. It's hard for me to say if it's "worth it" because they did do a fantastic job with how everything tasted. The only item I was kind of disappointed in was the Korean bbq taco. The meat was smokey and flavorful, but lots of fatty chewy pieces and occasional rare piece. That's me being picky Overall I would recommend as a novelty type place. Still hard to justify $ to quality and quantity but I wasn't disappointed in the items. Wish they sold the seaweed chips they make the tacos out of. I'd totally get those on the side

Came here and got the Korean BBQ Short Rib Taco Musubi and the Miso Salmon Musubi. I was surprised to see that the food is made to order. I was expecting them to maybe be premade so it was nice to see it's made fresh. KBBQ: Yummy flavor and good quality for the KBBQ. Lots of meat on the taco, taco shell is crispy and remains crispy for the entire time eating it, which is great Miso Salmon: Good flavor, small piece of salmon and mostly rice in my opinion. Rice cooked well. Ambiance is fine, small interior with a few seating available. Kinda warm inside, they have a fan blowing inside. Staff is sufficient and friendly, order took about 10 minutes from ordering to receiving the food. Ultimately, I don't think I would come back. Taco Musubis are SEVERELY overpriced. $12 for 1 taco musubi is very taxed (even compare to the $14 rice bowl offered, which is probably a better bang for your buck). Due to price, I can pass on this spot and pass on the concept of what is being sold. * I do feel like this business would perform well at someplace like 626 night market or even a booth at Coachella I'm sure they would make lots of sales, but as a casual lunch spot I feel like this misses the threshold.

We got the Korean short ribs taco and the miso salmon Musubi. Both were super good and delicious. We liked how it was made fresh to order and the taco shell was super crispy. However, the fried onions on top were not crispy and hard to chew. I do feel like $12 for a taco is a bit overpriced but they did fill ours with a lot of meat!!

They make delicious tacos! The shell is so crispy and it has a nice thickness to it so you get a nice crunch in each bite. I just would've loved to have something balance the savory flavors of the musubi and tacos like some cucumber or some veggie, but it's still very delicious. The staff is very kind and the restaurant is very clean. If there's anything I recommend anyone try from here, it would be the sushi tacos. Very delicious The carbonara rice cakes were also good just a little on the salty side

Small store front with a sterile interior. More of a to-go place than a sit down establishment. Placing our order was easy. The staff was adequate, not friendly but efficient. I wish the better packed the ponzu sauce. 1/2oz containers with lids that don't stay on. Luckily we ate there but the sauce spillage made everything sticky. Food was ok, nothing to write home about. Taste was good. Things came out hot and the proportion of rice to filling was good. Masubi don't stay together; they fall apart after a bite other than the spam one. They're cut in half which makes it easy to share but hard to eat. Price is high for the small masubi.

Absolutely amazing service and food quality! Lots of seating inside to dive right into the grubs. Tables were clean too. The musubi tacos were delicious. Crunchy nori shells and loads of delicious toppings inside. It definitely didn't disappoint for the amount of portions and price. I can't wait to revisit when back in the area.

I've been seeing this place on social media and wanted to give it a try. Overall, it's not a bad concept - musubis and musubi tacos all in one. They provide a variety of options on the menu. For the taco musubi: I tried Grilled Unagi, Crispy Calamari and for musubi I tried the Miso Salmon and Crispy Soft Shell Crab. I felt like there was a lot of rice for the taco vs. protein and overall was okay flavor. The musubi's all fell apart as I took a bite and just felt its missing flavor as well. It's not a bad place to try but personally not for me.

Great spot, definitely a little hole in the wall but so worth visiting. Their tacos are super filling and a good portion. Service was great and very quick as well. Definitely recommend checking this spot out.

I really liked this place!! I've tried a lot of musubi places and trendy things like "sushi burritos" and things like that, so I was skeptical about the musubi taco, but it was DELICIOUS! It was definitely a flavor that I wasn't expecting, but in the best way. I got the wagyu musubi taco and the bulgogi musubi. They were both very yummy and very filling. Honestly if you're a light eater, 1 taco is totally enough. The place itself is pretty simple, clean, there's tables inside. I'm excited to come back and try other things!

I randomly came across this spot on Yelp and the food and reviews looked great. Sadly, this was such a disappointing meal, I'm shocked at just how bad it was. When I walked in there was no acknowledgement from the one cashier who was also working the kitchen or at least prepping orders. They are definitely understaffed and it shows in the slow service. She was very friendly at least while taking my order. I asked for a few recommendations and when it came to the musubi I asked what she recommended to which she said the crunchy shrimp musubi. I accepted but I didn't realize she rang me up for the korean bbq short rib musubi instead until I got my food, so that was another disappointment from the get go. The food definitely looks good but the flavor and quality doesn't take it very far from there. I started with the unagi taco musubi - the unagi itself was meaty, soft, and tasted great. The rice and crab underneat was pretty bland. And the seaweed "taco" shell was just odd. It wasn't quite crispy or crunchy and more stale. But the worst part was the amount of grease dripping from this. I couldn't even take a photo because my hands were COVERED in grease like I had stuck my hand in a bucket of oil. And the tray had a pool of grease. The korean short rib taco musubi was just as greasy and although there was a lot of short rib that actually tasted great, there was SO much fat in the meat that I kept spitting out pieces of short rib. About half way through I gave up and just tossed the rest of the taco. And lastly for the short rib musubi, again the flavor was good but it was mostly fat and gristle. My teeth were filled with gristle and I also didn't even finish this item. $30 went down the drain for this meal.

Ok so why would you leave your house for spam musubi? That was my initial thought too. But goddamn their musubi tacos are sooo good. I personally like the steak taco, it has that mexican spice blend but extreme tenderness topped with feta and an aioli (I think, all ik is that its good). The regular spam musubi goes great with the egg and their kewpie mayo concoction pairs well with the musubi! The employees are very nice and well versed in the menu, its a must try if you like the twists in regular food. The restaurant is fairly small, but I expect them to be just a to go and eat at home. And dont worry that fries seaweed stays crunchy. Overall, I tried it the other day and have consistently gone and craved the steak taco. Also one taco did fill me up so id say share amongst a group to try everything or embrace the big-backery and order them all!

If you love musubi, come checkout musubi square. Food comes out quickly and both the spicy crab musubi and korean bbq short rib taco were delicious. The musubi taco has a seaweed layer as the taco shell that adds a nice crunch to the korean bbq shirt rib meat/rice. Service is friendly and the interior is small, but clean. I think I found my new favorite musubi spot!

One of the best spots I tried during my trip to California! I first heard about this place through a viral TikTok featuring their crispy taco musubis. When I visited on a Friday night, it was packed. The shop is on the smaller side with limited seating, so I'd definitely recommend ordering ahead for pickup. I ordered all three crispy taco musubis: Wagyu Feta, Grilled Unagi, and Crispy Calamari. My ranking would be Unagi first, Wagyu second, and Calamari third--but honestly, I'd happily order all three again. Since we ordered in-store, there was a bit of a wait, but it was completely worth it. The tacos are made fresh to order, with a large seaweed sheet dipped in batter and fried until crispy, creating a unique and delicious shell. At $9 each, they're definitely not cheap..... but they were so good that I'd gladly pay for them again lol. If I'm ever back in the area, this will definitely be one of my first stops.

It has a really fun, hip vibe and would be such a great spot for parties or bigger groups. The food was just as amazing. Their fusion of Mexican and Asian flavors works so well. The chicken in the sandos were crispy on the outside, perfectly juicy on the inside, and packed with flavor. Oh, and be sure to ask for extra Tim's sauce - definitely worth raving over. What made it even better was hearing that they braise the chicken for hours before it even hits the oil. That kind of attention to detail really shows in every bite. Each bite of burrito is paired with a fork-full of the fries with the pico and sauces. EZ MONEY.
