She was very friendly at least while taking my order. I asked for a few recommendations and when it came to the musubi I asked what she recommended to which she said the crunchy shrimp musubi. I accepted but I didn't realize she rang me up for the korean bbq short rib musubi instead until I got my food, so that was another disappointment from the get go. The food definitely looks good but the flavor and quality doesn't take it very far from there. I started with the unagi taco musubi - the unagi itself was meaty, soft, and tasted great. The rice and crab underneat was pretty bland. And the seaweed "taco" shell was just odd. It wasn't quite crispy or crunchy and more stale. But the worst part was the amount of grease dripping from this. I couldn't even take a photo because my hands were COVERED in grease like I had stuck my hand in a bucket of oil. And the tray had a pool of grease. The korean short rib taco musubi was just as greasy and although there was a lot of short rib that actually tasted great, there was SO much fat in the meat that I kept spitting out pieces of short rib. About half way through I gave up and just tossed the rest of the taco. And lastly for the short rib musubi, again the flavor was good but it was mostly fat and gristle. I personally like the steak taco, it has that mexican spice blend but extreme tenderness topped with feta and an aioli (I think, all ik is that its good). Felt like the tacos were more worth it in terms of quantity and quality versus the musubi which needed more filling but good crab taste. The eel was amazingggggg! We got it both times. The taco shell is so crispy and has a nice umami aroma. The eel was plentiful and tender and had such a good saucey flavor. The Wagyu feta wasn't our favorite. I tried the crispy soft shell crab musubi, bulgogi musubi, and I was able to trade one of my bulgogi musubi's for one of my coworker's grilled veggie musubi. I wasn't expecting much from the grilled veggie, but I ended up really liking that one because of the flavor from the grilled veggies. That one and the crispy soft shell crab were tied for my favorite. The bulgogi was good but it wasn't anything too special. Each order comes with two pieces, so if you want to try multiple flavors, I'd suggest sharing to try more flavors. One of my favorites. We make musubi at home, so we come strictly for the tacos , and they're amazing. They always keep us coming back. Lately they've been going through waves of being extremely busy because of social media exposure (good for them!). We've come on nights where it's packed and the staff seems overwhelmed. When it gets like that, the dining area starts slipping, tables need wiping, trash and recycling pile up, and people end up standing around because no one wants to sit at dirty tables. It can feel pretty hectic. On slower days, though, everything is clean, organized, and running smoothly. Orders are taken quickly and the space looks well kept. It really depends on the timing, later nights tend to be the busiest. I've also seen boxes stacked down the hallway and even in the restroom before, which was a little off putting. If I'm reviewing strictly the food: 10/10. If I'm reviewing the restaurant experience overall: probably a solid 6. Customer service is straightforward.. not overly warm, not rude... just efficient and to the point. read more
