I loved my Thai basil chicken with fried rice and my daughter enjoyed her broccoli beef with steamed rice. The food tasted on the healthier side (not too great of fried rice) expect for two elements--a somewhat thick sauce on the entrees and my greasy egg roll. Hot and sour soup was great. Hi, the food is great, the service is ok, and the ambiance is ok too. I do wish the pricing was lower though :) I must say all their dishes are on par, from their mapo tofu to their filet mignon. All their dishes are pretty good. The only thing that tasted off was their bbq pork buns.... It's def not like the dimsum places out there.... This is not a dimsum place but an above average good place to eat Chinese food. A friend of ours told us about this place a couple years ago and we've been going ever since. 8/12/25 I ordered online per usual and had my husband pick it up in store. When he returned, I was eager to check out the food. When I removed all the plastic tops, almost all my food items were dark brown in color. The orange chicken also seemed more puffy in fry batter and it simply did not look appetizing. I had to make my kids eat the orange chicken-an item they used to enjoy without any convincing. My husband used to be loyal to their orange chicken and never had leftovers. This time was different. I ordered broccoli beef, Kung pao mix and chicken fried rice. Both the Kung pao dish and the broccoli feed was overly salted. Dark soy sauce in color. Not appealing in food presentation. Beef seem overly tenderized. Too mushy. Needless to say, we had leftovers that we just tossed. The only dish that worked out some what was the chicken fried rice. I am not sure if there has been a change in ownership or chef. I'm afraid I won't be ordering from this restaurant in the future. Time to find a new Chinese place. read more

Super nice spot in Fullerton for some Chinese food. It's very cheap and the portions are big and it's made to order so you can still taste the quality of the food. I was in the area so based on 4.3 star review I gave it a try. For lunch, ordered lunch special menu (Kung pao chicken, hot n sour soup and pot sticker). Kung pao chicken: chicken was way too oily, hold dozens pieces of green onion and peanuts. Slices of chickens were first deep fried that was reason for the excess oil. I was out and about running errands and had a kung pao chicken craving. I remembered that KPB in Santa Fe Springs had a sister company in Fullerton. Located in a strip center where parking is complimentary and in abundance. The lunch specials are posted on the wall and run 7 days a week till 3:00 pm so I ordered the kung pao chicken combo which included stream rice and opted for the pan fried potstickers and hot and sour soup. Everything was made to order, piping hot, and yummy. The interior is big enough to accommodate dine in patrons and I saw many orders made to go. The staff here are friendly and on point with service. I have never in my life thought I needed to write a post about food. This was absolutely wild. The "fried rice" was just white rice with sauce drizzled over it. Literally no eggs or any veggies in it. The Mongolian trio's beef was so rubbery I couldn't pull it apart a with my teeth. & the honk Kong buns had no flavor. You know that place that's familiar like home, well this place is like that for me. Placed a telephone call about 5PM, Sunday, for an order to go. Ordered (1) the house fried rice, (2) egg flower soup, (3) white rice with beef and broccoli. Was told the order would be ready in 15-20 minutes. Arrived there were three people scattered around the establishment, eating their meals and a lady in line picking her food up. My husband and I have been ordering from here for a few years. But today it was not good at all. The chicken chow mein was very dark, sweet, with burned onion, and just a weird taste like Oyster sauce?. There was also no garlic which it's had in the past. Stopped in here for one of their lunch specials. I went with the Szechuan beef, and chose fried rice, egg roll, cup of egg flower soup and a can of ginger ale - $20 after tax and tip. I could hear and smell them cooking the entree to order, so everything was super hot when it was brought out to me. The beef was tender and the sauce was delicious, with just a hint of spice. When it was placed in front of me I thought this was a gigantic portion, but underneath the beef in the photo is a LOT of celery. Probably half this dish was celery, and I do not like celery. The "fried rice" (which I paid 65 cents extra for) was bland and boring, nothing about it reminded me of fried rice, and I barely touched it. The egg flower soup was also not great, it really just tasted like water with some eggs in it, I maybe had 4 bites. The egg roll was fine, probably frozen from Costco. I think $20 would have been ok if everything was good, then I could have easily split this into two meals. But since I didn't like the soup, rice, or two cups of celery, I really only ate beef, a few onions and carrots, and an egg roll. Not worth $20 to me. I am not against coming here again, but I think I will just stick to entrees and not bother getting a lunch special again. read more

I ordered the individual portion of the Walnut Shrimp w/ brown rice, side of egg roll & egg flour soup. I was sad to find that they did not give out those chips that used to come with the walnut shrimp anymore, also the sauce on the shrimp on this visit was very starchy on the texture, the fried rice was also a bit dry. On another note, the egg flour soup was still tasty. Maybe it was just an off day since all the other times I've ordered the same item I remember I've always enjoyed it. Located inside a strip mall, with plenty of parking, next to Stater Bros. and several other different restaurants, it may be hard to miss KPB because it is located smack dab in the middle of everything. The moment you walk in, it may take a second to orient yourself as there are multiple menus (lunch menu to the left on the wall as you walk in, paper menus directly in front of you, and the main menu behind the cashier station). Additionally, it's loud in there at times, so it may be hard to hear what the cashier is asking. Regardless, they have a very extensive menu that caters to every type of Asian culture out there. The menu can be very hit or miss, and I've learned to stick to the Kung Pao Delight (which has three proteins - chicken, beef, and shrimp) as other items I have had were not as good. Once you order, be patient. The food is made once the order goes in, and it may take up to 20 minutes at a time for your food to be prepared. The only reason this place isn't higher rated is because of a lack of consistent quality and the lack of communication.
