We only had 3 servers standing beside the food while the guests serve themselves. They arrived at 1:30p and started packing up at 4:30p. The dishes looked pleasant but didn't taste freshly cooked. The Kare kare was mostly dry beef and cabbage. It tasted like it was about to go bad. It had a slight sour taste. Everyone ate but hardly any went back for seconds. We had so much leftover food that got tossed. The guests didn't want to take any of it home. Some of them were forced to take some.

And then there were servers carrying around trays of various delicious appetizers. I sampled several of the appetizers and not one of them was disappointing. This was the best volunteer appreciation event I've attended (for this particular organization), and I was pleased to hear that Savor Catering has such a good story - helping women get back on their feet. Good food and a good story. I can definitely recommend Savor Catering for your catering needs.

Many of my family members are from Zacatecas & they said this food reminded them of home! First off, I had an early morning party following my son's baptism. They were not only able to accommodate my hours, but also adjusted to some unusual (set up) requests. I called them to coordinate everything ahead of time and they worked with me 100% no questions asked! On the day of our event, it was pouring rain. It did not interrupt their professionalism or flexibility. As soon as the guests arrived, they were ready to serve! The food did not disappoint!! Many guests never had gorditas, but they loved them so much they were going back for 2nd & 3rds! Many in my family don't like meat, so they only ordered chorizo con papas and they were obsessed! My meat lovers absolutely raved about the carne de puerco con chile rojo. Everyone also loved the pina & horchata aguas. The pina was not too sweet, and the horchata was not sugared down. Many told me that it was the best pina & horchata aguas they've had! Eva made us gorditas (what was left) before she departed, but before the party was over, all the food was gone!!! It came with a lot of onions, no bacon or croutons and there was MOLD on the cucumber. I was gonna be okay with no bacon and croutons, and while red onions are too strong of a flavor & make me sick, I just took it off. But after finding mold I just couldn't. I reported it on Uber Eats app, called the restaurant as well and all they did was just say sorry. I couldn't eat the salad anymore, and I didnt even want to keep eating their food knowing they've had mold on their food and who knows what else it touched. Waste of money, not even a reimbursement was issued. So disappointing. I was told a manager would contact me "probably" but hours later, bedtime and no call happened. I don't want to order from here again, so the least they could do is reimburse me for my meal as it all had to go in the trash. My 3 year old had a bite also so I'm quite upset that this poses a risk to not only my health but hers as wel. Porto's would never.
